This year was a little different because there was lots of rain during the 3 days we were there so we did some exploring in town in addition to playing in the water. They thankfully turned on the pool heater so that we could enjoy the pool while it was drizzling but the hot tub was broken. Our rental unit was awesome! They had a dresser drawer unit with mirror in the wall in closet which Was very helpful!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When my children were younger, we spent many summer vacations in El Constante #119. I have the most amazing memories here. The only reason I had not been back in some time, is that now I travel with my dog and I did not know until recently that the property has become dog friendly! Now this great place is even better! The bed is a little high for this now older traveler, but I love this place with all my heart. This is the perfect place for families or the more mature traveler. Even during Spring Break there was none of the craziness that you might find in Port A, and extra security was provided in the evenings. Thank you for all the memories and the many more to come.

usually perfect vacation...not so much this time

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The lady who booked us was kind and helpful. Two problems..one we were told by front desk when I called that we were in a separate building from the ongoing construction. When we arrived we shared the wall with the ongoing hammering and loud construction all day. Including loud music from the workman...all day while I tried to finish court on zoom as I am a county prosecutor. I asked to move literally anywhere else on the property but was told no. Our door would not lock so we asked what the problem was. She said just shut it all the way. By Saturday am it was clear that the door was broken so we cancelled our morning outing to fish. Finally at 10 we went into the office and the girl was very rude. I said I needed to move if the door couldn't be fixed and she said I should have called at 1 in the morning when we discovered it could only be locked from the inside. I asked if there was any other open unit. She said no...all were booked. I called the 1800 number and low and behold you were not all booked up. They eventually fixed the door with the construction crew and another nice man. I do not being lied to by staff. I respect company policies. We were treated like scum. I love the property but this was not a good experience. Please pass on to owner.

My only complaint is that the people staying next to us smoked outside their place and we could smell it coming and going and sometimes in our place.

My winter beach month in Padre

Loved the layout and cleanliness of the complex. The heated pool and jacuzzi are amazing. My one huge complaint would be that there is no usable couch to sit on in unit 119. I read on reviews that the pull out couch was broken which was fine but the couch itself sunk down toward the middle about 8 inches when seated. Impossible for 2 people to sit on comfortably which is unacceptable when your there for a month. The owner refused to replace when contacted by Padre Escapes. I would not rent this unit until couch is replaced!

Reviewer Comments: We have stayed at El Constante more than 5 times now, we have always found little details that disappoints us, this time the only sofa in the living room was broken and management only left a sign underneath the pillows saying it was broken. Like I said little details since we stay there for the beach, not to sit on the living room. Which is why we always return here, the location is great, steps away from the beach and a few miles away from stores. As I mentioned in the title, the whole stay isn't always excellent, but it is definitely a good place to stay when visiting.

The couch was pretty worn and stained and the wicker type chair was not comfortable, but everything else was great. Working with Padre Escapes as the rental company is always 5 star. We use them for rentals all over the island.

Excellent location

There are so few properties around Corpus where you can walk to the beach! We even had a small view of it from the porch. The location was great, pool was lovely, and condo itself was perfect for our family. I highly recommend this spot. The only downside was loud upstairs neighbors, but that can’t be helped. Everything else was perfect.

Disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was in a fairly good location. My issue was the beach. It was covered with sarrgasum seaweed. We were told it could not be removed but an article I read said once it hit the beach it could be removed. This is very gross and made our stay miserable! There are welps on my arms and legs and it's probably from that mess. We saw all kinds of nasty things in the seaweed. There could have been used needles, broken glass, or other hazardous things in the seaweed. It was so deep! But it's not your fault, I understand that. The room was fairly clean but really needs a deep cleaning. The couch needs to be replaced because it was the only seating and it was uncomfortable. Pool and hot tub were nice. Property was maintained faily well on the outside. Padre Escapes were very responsive to any questions I had pre-arrival. My advise to people wanting to go to the beach this year is to check with authorities or watch a beach cam to see condition of beach. My neighbor in condo next to me said she called the owner and was told no sargassum was on the beach!!! Sorry for the bad review but we were so disappointed that we left a day early. We even read the reviews before we chose this location and they were all very good. So beware future occupants!!
