Fantastic House, Incredible View

A truly stunning property with one of the best views in Devon, Two Guns is an amazing place to stay. Very comfortable with multiple living areas and balconies, a large kitchen and nice bedrooms. Plenty of steps to keep you fit, and a handy dedicated parking space just outside the car scraping walls of Beacon Road. A bit of detailing required - rings on tables, an unpainted repaired ceiling in the living room, very few teaspoons, for example, but really nothing major.

great views, but

Did need a thorough clean as a little grubby, we were warned that some previous guests had contributed to this. I think 66 steps to reach the property needs to be clearer and path lighting at night is poor.The parking for a large 4x4 is not possible near the house. Views were spectacular and the aspect is lovely, but a little tired.

Dear Graeme, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent stay we value all feedback from our guests. We were disappointed that we had been unable to arrange for the carpet to be cleaned before your arrival. We did apologise and we are sorry that this detracted from your appreciation of the property. We take on board your point about the steps we try to be as accurate as possible in our descriptions of the property but we certainly had not mentioned the number of steps. The entrance through the garden does make it very attractive when the garden is at its best unfortunately at this time of year it does also make it dark. The street is very narrow and we do warn that parking is only for a small vehicle with a private parking spot further up the road for larger vehicles. We are pleased that you found the view the main spectacular as this is definitely the key attraction with this property.

the whole house was amazing.

the property was incredible and exceeded our expectations the narrow lane on arrival meant our car couldn’t make it all the way to the house so all luggage and food had to be carried some 150yds up the lane by hand in the rain. that wasn’t great. also as check in was in virtual dark. the lights on the steps up to the house were not working. i had to find the fuse board and reset them as they had tripped. that wasn’t fantastic. someone who had no knowledge of electrical supply would have struggled. i think it would be better to say the house isn’t accessible by car in all honesty.

Narrow roads

The only down side was the narrow roads that lead to the house where we had our car scratched. It did say about the narrow roads but we had too many staff with us. The view from the house did make up for it :)

Amazing Kingswear property

Beautiful modern house with excellent views and location. Loved the funky decor with Mexican twists and ercol furniture. My only complaint was there are no curtains. While the views into the Dart are just stunning - I do like a dark room at night and found it difficult to sleep without being able to block out the lights coming in. Otherwise we all loved it - plenty of space for us all to spread out and relax.
