Casa Cuqui is a historic house with a traditional Castilian courtyard in the town of Orgaz. It is located 103 km from Madrid, 33 km from the city of Toledo, and 35 km from Puy du Fou, a theme park dedicated to the history of Spain.
Dating back to the 17th century in its current layout, with some walls from the 14th century, it has retained its essence with modern touches following a recent renovation by interior designer Sergio Pepino Bergia.
Available for rent as a minimum of 4 bedrooms or the entire house (6 bedrooms). Ideal for family gatherings and groups of friends.
The common areas—such as the living rooms, courtyard, and garden with a pool and barbecue—are for the group’s exclusive use.
The house’s layout, with a structure surrounding a central courtyard that in turn connects to a vegetable garden, is reminiscent of Roman houses (domus). This type of structure was passed down from Roman architecture to early Christian architecture, and from there to medieval architecture. The word "patio" comes from the Latin "pac" via the Occitan "pàtu". A patio is defined as an open-air, unroofed common space.
The living-dining room is connected to the kitchen and, together with the patio, becomes the true epicenter of life in the home. It allows you to cook while spending time with the rest of the group.
Bold colors on the wooden beams and window frames bring a fresh, vibrant vibe to this spacious area. Ideal for gatherings and workshops.
The living room with the fireplace is a blend of tradition and modernity; the wooden beams add warmth, while bold colors bring a sense of freshness. It’s perfect for gatherings and workshops.
The garden is the former corral—a second open space, partly paved—featuring greenery, a small pool, and a gazebo. In the original layout of the house, this space was used for a vegetable garden and raising animals. It’s ideal for relaxing with a book in a hammock or enjoying outdoor meals. In the summer, you can take a dip in the pool.
