Charming and comfortable barn conversion in beautiful Burnsall

Enjoy beautiful Burnsall and the wonders of the Wharfe Valley from your base at the charming and comfortable Village Barn. Retaining much of the character and charm of its original 18th century construction, Village Barn comfortably accommodates up to 8 people with 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms and two large bathrooms on the 1st floor, all centrally heated. The ground floor has a spacious and comfortable lounge equipped with a log burner and a large, 8-seater dining room, also with a log burner. The younger set have their own TV/games room equipped with a Play Station 4 and a selection of games or use this space to watch a DVD or read a book in splendid isolation! The Barn has a well-appointed kitchen with a large induction hob and double ovens, perfect for cooking a large meal for friends and family. A Nespresso Virtuo coffee maker is provided for coffee lovers with pods available against a small donation to Mountain Rescue. A separate utility room accommodates a fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble drier. Outside you will find a sunny barbeque area with outdoor seating. The Barn offers views over the village green and the River Wharfe to the fells beyond.

All within a short walk of the Village Barn is a wonderful pub, a gourmet café and a delectable ice cream kiosk. Across the iconic 5-arch stone bridge is an attractive green, perfect for a picnic and along the River Wharfe you will find a fantastic pebbly beach with shallow access to the river.

Situated on the banks of the River Wharfe, Burnsall is a delightful Dales village with a rich history and because of its picture postcard beauty, Burnsall attracts many couples looking for the perfect setting for their wedding and is also a dream holiday destination for families and a mecca for walkers, cyclists and anglers.

Group of ladies celebrating birthdays so this true gem of a property was just perfect for us.Picturesque barn in a beautiful village.Beds bed linen towels all excellent.The property retains its wonderful charm whilst providing such comfortable warm and spotlessly clean accommodation.Lovely Sunday lunch as the red lion pub next door too.Pam the owner was lovely to communicate with.Would love to be allowed to give more than 5 stars as a review.

We stayed with six adults and a two year old and found the Village Barn a really comfortable and spacious property with loads of charm and a fantastic position in the village. The property is set up really well for your stay with excellent appliances, cooking equipment, entertainment and outdoor equipment and also including a really nice welcome pack. Red Lion PH (next door) has several indoor and outdoor dining or drinks spaces overlooking the river and the village offers two cafes, an ice cream parlour and another hotel with restaurant / bar. There are loads of other attractions in the area both within walking distance and by car.Overall a great property, very well set up in a really great part of the wonderful Yorkshire Dales.

Outstanding cottage in a stunning location.We had a full house the whole week and everyone was thrilled. We were lucky with the weather which meant the kids spent thd week in the river instead of the car (visiting other places). This left the adults (me) to go to the stunning pub, right next door.Can't actually find fault with anything. An absolute model property.

A fabulous cottage in a wonderful location in Burnsall only yards from the Red Lion Hotel overlooking the village green and river. We stayed for a nearby wedding as a family group of 8 adults for 3 nights. Pam was a great host and left us a welcome basket and milk which was much appreciated. The cottage is incredibly well appointed with everything we needed to cook on the first night and to make ourselves comfortable: The Barn was spotless and so beautifully laid out - we had a wonderful time. The weather was kind too and many an hour was spent on the bench and patio outside the cottage, with a little glass of something, taking in the views. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We definitely be back!

Superb location. The cottage has everything you need and more, including parking for two cars, which is a major asset in the village of Burnsall.The host responds to messages extremely quickly and is very kind and thoughtful. This was my second visit and I've already booked for 2027.Eileen.

The entire barn was super clean and very well equipped, making caring for a family of 5 children so easy. The location of the property is great, in an enchanting setting near to the river and adjacent to the village pub, where the other adults in our wedding party stayed.I can't thank our host enough for her kindness, patience and efficiency!

Excellent communication with the host prior to arrival, lovely cozy barn with everything you could possibly need for a super relaxing stay. Beds were really comfortable with crisp white bedding. Plenty of space for our group of 6 with a games room for younger members. The pub next door was an added bonus with friendly staff serving really good home cooked food.Absolutely excellent place to stay when visiting this beautiful area!

The Village Barn is possibly the best vacation rental we have ever stayed in. Exceptionally charming. Clean. Every time we turned around there was a new detail we were amazed by. 10/10, we are now trying to fit another Yorkshire trip into our travel plans.

Very comfortable and relaxing place to stay. A lot of thought and consideration has gone into making sure guests feel at home including a welcoming kit of essentials. Bedrooms are spacious enough to relax in away from communal spaces with modern shower room and ensuite bath. Separate dining room and games room are also both extremely useful. The host was very easy to deal with and no problems were encountered. We also found the comprehensive information folder very useful. We would have no hesitation in re-booking in the future.

The property and the communication with Pam were both excellent nothing was to much trouble. Would highly recommend this property. The beds were wonderfully comfortably and the house was warm and comfortable. Walks were right on the doorstep and we had a fabulous 4 days. We will be back - thank you Pam

We loved our stay here. It was a great space for two families, in the perfect location next door to the pub and the river with safe paddling for the kids. The house is one of the best appointed holiday homes we’ve stayed in with everything you need in the kitchen to make large family meals, lots of books and games and plenty of communal space to spread out in. We had a fantastic time and would love to return!
