'Cottage by the Sea' ligger på Sheepscot-bugten med fed, dybt vand med en vidunderlig panoramaudsigt til Fem øer, Southport og Ocean. A bit more of a cabin in my opinion. The location is absolutely perfect, along the waters edge, close to Georgetown State Park with fun trails to hike and mountain bike. The beach at low tide is particularly nice. Bring your own sheets and towels.

Cannot beat the beautiful location. Private, but accessible to everything you need. The cottage was charmingly rustic with loads of funky art and antiques. The view is mesmerizing. Thanks Tony!

My mom and I had a lovely stay at Tony’s “Cottage by the Sea”. Nestled in the woods, with a beautiful view of the ocean, we had the best of both land and sea.Tony greeted us when we arrived for a brief introduction and then wished us safe travels when we left. He shared recommendations for local activities and places to eat.Tony provides a pass to Reid State Park so we headed over there for glorious fall walk.Our accommodations were cozy and rustic. Plenty of room to rest and relax. The perfect Georgetown destination!

Amazing spot in Georgetown

Anthony’s little cottage on his property is amazing - great views of the water! Cabin is spacious and has a pleasant rustic charm. Our family enjoyed the week we spent here tremendously!

Wonderful location

I love Georgetown and Tony couldn’t be situated any better. Such a quiet cottage and right on the ocean. Private road and nearby trails for the dogs. And minutes from Reid state park. Looking forward to future trips here.

Cozy cottage

The cottage was cute and cozy. My husband and I enjoyed exploring the area. Access to groceries and restaurants is a long drive, but access to the coast, parks, and nature was perfect!

Great rustic cabin with killer view

Lovely location - rustic cabin. Kids liked the loft situation. Good internet and TV options. The fans were essential during a brief heat wave. Owner was unobtrusive and communicative.

Perfect location

Great spot for all your Maine coast adventures! Less that a 5 minute drive to Reid state park, 1/2 hr max to Bath/Brunswick, hour to Portland and Boothbay. View from the decks are beautiful, and in a few steps you are in the midst of quintessential Maine coast beauty.beauty

Just what we needed...

Beautiful views, quiet, and a peaceful place to relax and explore all the coast of Maine has to offer. No frills but exactly what we love about vacationing. Enjoyed the campfire onsite and local state park that was very close. Tony is very lucky to have such a great spot.

Quiet Comfortable Retreat

We enjoyed a wonderful, peaceful week at Cottage by the Sea with our 2 dogs. The location is beautiful and quiet but close enough for day trips to Bath, Freeport, and Boothbay Harbor. The pass to Reid State Park was great; we enjoyed several hikes there. The bench overlooking the harbor was our favorite, spent several hours there watching the waves, boats, birds, seals, etc. Tony was a great host, and we would certainly book again!

Beautiful coastal views!

We so enjoyed our stay at Tiny's rustic cabin. The cabin was clean, spacious, well stocked and has beautiful views of the ocean! The short walk to a wooden bench on the rocks offers a lovely spot for viewing and the expanse of rocky shoreline privides a wondetful place to climb and explore. Tony is super friendly, laid-back and helpful and lives next door.

Fall trip

Labor Day vacation Georgetown maime

It was a lovely place, but it could’ve been closer to other things like restaurants, etc.. I like the fact that I could walk my dog off the leash because of low cars.

Beach Vibe at The Cottage

The Cottage provided more than enough to guarantee a great stay. The kitchen was well equipped, including a lobster pot. The bathroom was clean, updated and easy to access. The living area had comfortable couches, chairs and lighting. We did not use the second floor which provided more beds, a desk nook and great water views. Outside provided a deck off of the first floor bedroom, a fire pit and a gas grill. An easy walk to the overlook was a bonus.

Susan and Harry were wonderful people to have met. It's a long way from Maryland but I hope they consider coming this way again in the future. They were fortunate to be here when the town was having a community tag sale and I'm sure they were successful seekers. Harry made good on opportunities to fish, dig for soft shell clams at Reid State Park and kayak. Really nice people.

Beautiful setting but the cabin was dirty. Mouse droppings everywhere. I told the owner and showed him the dirt and mouse droppings. He did not get in a cleaner while I was there. Very disappointing and I would not recommend to anyone and will not return, even though it is a beautiful location.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry you experienced issues during your stay. The cleanliness of the cottage is important to me, but being in rural Maine, it’s possible to occasionally see signs of mice. As soon as you let me know, I contacted my cleaner, though she was unavailable. I also offered to cover the cost if another service could come in. To help immediately, I provided ultrasonic rodent repellents and have since added more, set traps (which came up empty), and hired a contractor to seal any possible entry points. While wildlife is part of the setting here, I take these concerns seriously and work hard to make the cottage comfortable for all guests.

So quiet and peaceful

After the horendous year we've all had, my week at Cottage By The Sea refreshed my body and soul. I had friends join me whom i hadn't seen in more than a year, and we enjoyed the rustic charm of the cottage and the ever-changing light, sound and motion of the sea just a few steps away. The cottage has everything you need and nothing you don't. The beautiful Reid State Park is a 5 minute drive and Tony even provides the season pass! We enjoyed lobster rolls -twice - at Five Islands harbor amd ice cream at Annabelle's. It was a wonderful week. I've already booked my return for next summer.

Maine cabin

Anthony is a lovely and kind owner and the new deck recently installed is beautiful. The views are spectacular and the cabin is private and quiet. The cabin’s rustic nature is part of the charm but it simply wasn’t clean enough for a rental. Renters are expected to clean the place; it is not professionally cleaned between guests. Post pandemic, this is just not acceptable, at least without prior notice to potential renters.

Goodbye 'Bunks! We're Mid-Coast Vacationers Now!

Tony, we can't thank you enough for the wonderful week we spent in Georgetown. The cottage was perfect and is such a fabulous "base camp" for activities...or place to curl up and relax in its own right. We walked the beach, climbed the rocks, paddled Sewell Pond, went up Higgins "Mountain", walked out to the Squirrel Point Lighthouse, walked the trail to the Kennebec at Berry Woods Preserve, ate our fill of seafood, took a day trip to Boothbay Harbor, spent a day at the Maine Maritime Museum, Popham Beach/Fort, and even enjoyed watching the sun come out and light up the sky as Tropical Storm Elsa moved offshore. But, by far the highlight of the whole week was just sitting on that wonderful bench by the water watching the boats, birds, and seals.

Million Dollar Views

This was our first time renting from Tony on our annual summer pilgrimage to Maine, and we had a phenomenal time. The cabin is perfectly located with near to 1000' of private Maine coastline right outside the door. We were thrilled by the daily visits by Dolphins, Seals, Bald Eagles, and Lobster fishermen on their boats as we sat and enjoyed our morning coffee. The cabin is well appointed with everything that one needs, and free of the things one can happily live without. The charm of the cabin is in its antique nostalgia, and the relief of near total privacy. The only visitors we had all week were a very friendly porcupine (named Piney) and the owner Tony, who was only too eager to support our happiness and needs. The cabin is delightfully close to Reid State Park, with over a mile and a half of pristine beach. There's a popup lobster roll stand 1/4 mile away. A full fledged Lobster Co-Op and Restaurant 2.5 miles. Local market for provisions 4 miles. Oyster farm 5.5 miles. And a legendary dining experience at The Osprey in Robinhood Cove a short 14 minutes down the road. Altogether, we had an unforgettable time and would absolutely rent from Tony again. 5 Stars.

A peaceful retreat

My husband and I recently stayed at this rustic retreat for a week. This home is in a great location, very close to the amazing Reid State Park (which the owner provided a pass for) and Five Islands Farm and Lobster Co. Georgetown is a quaint old fashioned town in mid coast Maine, leading to the relaxation we felt. No rush, no fuss. But, Bath is nearby, where everthing can be found. We ate at great restaurants and did some window shopping. We love the thrift shop on the Island!! This vacation, we were here for the views and the down time, which we found at this great rental. We loved sitting on the deck off the downstairs bedroom, which gave us a water view, just reading and relaxing. Tony, our kind owner, was very easy to communicate with. Everything was provided for us, and it was a simple transition from the hustle of life into an easy week. The rental is down a private road, very quiet and peaceful. The house is decorated with so many interesting pieces, it was fun just looking at everything!! Very homey and comfortable. Thank you Tony for your kindness and accomodations! We will see you again! Beautiful cottage by the sea comes just as it says. Completely enjoyed our stay. Peaceful and scenic just made it all the more special.

I am a retired elementary school principal from CT. My wife, also an elementary school principal, dreamed of our Maine home by the sea as our retirement home. Sadly, she passed away in 2011 from complications of the non Hodgkins cancer she was diagnosed with in 2003. I am an Eagle scout and believe in the golden rule, being prepared and doing a good turn daily. These hallmarks have steered me through life. I still have a home in CT which I plan to sell. My son and his wife and two children live in CT. I own a sportscar, a 1963 Morgan, that I should drive more often. At the end of the summer season, the magnificent views and beauty of the coast make it difficult to leave my home in Maine. I enjoy meeting the people and the families who rent the cottage. I am pleased when I see their enjoyment of the cottage. I am always awestruck by the views.

When you see this property, its privacy, seclusion, and location on the water, you will understand why we fell in love with it. So have the renters who have stayed here. The guest book and reviews on-line attest to this. It faces east and it's expansive water views are a daily joy.. Each day is wondrous! The house, which sits on ten acres, also came with a quaint guest cottage, that we turned into a rental, 'Cottage by the Sea.' The land adjoining the cottage is undeveloped forest. We are a half mile from Reid State Park and close to the village of Five Islands. We loved that Georgetown is a classic, New England seacoast town that is yet to be spoiled by development or discovered. Georgetown people are truly friendly. The area is a great place to relax and get away from it all.

The water views are fabulous. The cottage is a quaint, rustic, upgraded Maine cottage decorated with interesting items. (If you want to taste the flavor of Maine, this cottage is it!) Lots of privacy featured. Second floor deck with views of the water. A pass to Reid State Park comes with the rental.
