Great short break with friends
Beautiful cottage. Loved the log burner. Would have preferred the tv to be in the lounge with the log burner as it’s nice to be cosy watching tv. So would suggest either moving the tv or having one in each lounge.

Pre-Xmas break
This is the second time I have used Stay Cotswold for an accommodation and have not been disappointed. The accommodation was as photographed and described and in generally good condition with only minor wear and tear. The location and amenities requested in a travel cot and high chair were there. The Christmas tree was a nice touch. Would recommend.

Lovley but needs TLC
The cottage is lovely and it was nice having the 2 lounges. However we did feel that the cottage could do with some TLC as there are lots of cracks to be filled and paintwork that really needs to doing to take this cottage in a lovely part of the world to the next level.

Thank you Geri for your review of Benson Cottage. We are delighted to hear that you found the property to be lovely. We will be sure to pass your feedback regarding the paintwork on to the property owner. Unfortunately, general wear and tear can occur over time, particularly as not all guests take the same level of care during their stay. We hope you will be back to stay again soon!

Delightful
This was our first stay at Benson Cottage and hopefully will not be our last. Great location, very comfortable, very clean. 3 en-suites make it a real cut above the others, along with the lovely kitchen diner.
I have just two criticisms……the kitchen is very much lacking in sharp knives, serving spoons and chopping boards. Very easily sorted. Communication with the housekeeper was very much hit and miss - thankfully we didn’t have an emergency so it didn’t matter greatly, but I do think it is highly important and a problem very easily addressed.
We all had a very enjoyable time at Benson Cottage.

Autumnal Girl's Getaway
A superb cottage in the Cotswolds that has everything one could wish for. Exceptional condition, very clean and homely.
A cake, flowers and milk on arrival which was a lovely touch.
The manager was super helpful.
We all said that we would definitely book Benson Cottage again.
Only one small observation, it would be nice to have a nest of tables in the TV room.

A spacious and comfortable property
A very spacious and well presented property in a lovely quiet location. Kitchen very well equipped, main lounge very comfortable, though seating in the TV room not very comfortable. Three lovely en-suite bedrooms, though bedroom three did lack hanging space. Rear parking space most convenient and very handy, however a designated path across the rear lawn would be an advantage during wet weather.
Would return and recommend.

Another wonderful stay at Benson cottage
We were thrilled to be able to stay for a second time at Benson Cottage. It is a beautiful, well appointed and warm home in the heart of the Cotswolds. A lovely home for a family and we cannot wait to return. We intend to make this our base each time we visit from Australia.

Beautiful cottage
Bensons Cottage was very spacious, modern and well equipped. Its in a very quiet, pretty location in a small village but also very close to all the Cotswold favourites by car. We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend and will gladly return.

Lovely spacious cottage
We stayed in Bensons cottage for 3 nights, there were 5 adults so having en-suites for all the bedrooms was really good. The cottage was well equipped with kitchen utensils and good to have basics like tea, coffee and sugar. Also a nice touch to have a pint of milk and a cake on arrival. There was plenty of space but found the room with the fire most comfortable but the tv was in the other room with sofas which weren’t very comfortable and no tables for drinks.
Also found the bed in the main bedroom was not very comfortable, it felt like the mattress needed replacing. All other beds were fine.
We walked into Blockley which has a lovely cafe and small shop. The cottage was in a good location for driving to Stratford and Stow on the Wold.

Thank you, Karen for taking the time to share your feedback following your stay at Benson’s Cottage. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the space, the well-equipped kitchen, and the welcome touches on arrival. It’s great to know that the ensuite bedrooms and the location worked well for your group. We are sorry to hear that the sofas and mattress did not match your personal level of comfort. Blockley is a beautiful village, and we’re pleased you were able to explore the local café and shop, as well as visit Stratford and Stow-on-the-Wold during your stay. Thank you again for your helpful feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future!
