Strawberry, Pinecrest, Dodge Ridge Riverfront Estate! Wow!

Thank you for staying with us again and for your feedback. We work hard to make our riverfront cabin a comfortable and enjoyable place for our guests, and we’re sorry these concerns affected your stay. We especially wish you had contacted us while you were there. We live locally, are easy to reach and very responsive, and each of the concerns mentioned could have been addressed the same day. Regarding the specific issues: • Window screens: The family room screens had apparently been removed by a previous guest and were stored in the laundry room. We were unaware they had been removed and reinstalled them immediately after receiving the review. • Cookware: The kitchen had 17 functional, name-brand pots and pans, including Calphalon, KitchenAid and Emeril cookware. After speaking with the guest, we learned the specific concern was the lack of a second extra-large stockpot. We have since added an additional one. • Yellow jackets: We found food residue on the outdoor BBQ immediately outside the family room windows, which was attracting yellow jackets. Once the BBQ was cleaned, the problem went away. • Electrical outlets: The cabin was built in 1942, and some of the original-style outlets do not grip plugs as tightly as newer outlets. We checked the outlets following this feedback and identified a few where plugs could be dislodged more easily than we would like, which we are addressing. We genuinely appreciate guest feedback and use it to improve the cabin. Most importantly, we encourage our guests to call or text us during their stay if something isn’t right. We’re nearby and want the opportunity to resolve concerns immediately rather than have them detract from anyone’s vacation.
