The property is located in Borgo San Jacopo on the top floor of a modern building with a lift. Everything was as advertised, and we had a seamless check in process. We had a minor issue with the hot water, but it turns out we needed to do something in the apartment and the company was very helpful and communicative in solving this issue. Location is great and apartment was perfect for two people. Would stay again.

Perfect location, a block from Ponte Vecchio and convenient to everything. Very clean, great use of space. The lock on the front door to the street was very finicky, even residents who let us in when they saw us struggling with the lock said it was very sticky. Internet was spotty at best. If not for these two issues, rating would be a five.

Great Space and Location

This was a perfect spot for our two nights in Florence. Check in was easy, the space was clean, and it was walking distance to most sights. The kitchen facilities are small, so just note that if you're wanting to cook much!

Great Location

Location is great. Near Ponte Vecchio and restaurants. No views from room though. Ignore previous reviews complaining about hot water or no A/C. Both worked great.

Magical!

It was lovely to be in the city center and within a 20 minute walk of all the major sites. The room itself was perfect for the two of us and felt like home quickly. It is also within a 1 minute walk from a grocery store. I would 10/10 recommend this location for staying in Florence.

Beautiful Spot

Clean, comfy place. Absolutely tremendous location, such a great spot right in some of the most beautiful sections of the city, very convenient for any downtown attraction. AC was nice and refreshing, check-in was not too difficult, walking from the train station with roller luggage was hard but doable. Fantastic apartment, we had a great time.

Perfect stay

This property was amazing. Check in was easy. We were actually an hour late because of traffic and our host was very nice about that. The location is amazing. You are right at the base of the famous Florence bridge. If I ever lucky enough to get back to Florence I would stay here again.

Great neighborhood, lovely room

We had a great time at the San Jacopo Top in Florence. It was located in a wonderful neighborhood with easy access to shops, restaurants, bars and more. Steps away from the Ponte Vecchio. We didn't have any issues accessing the property or getting where we needed to go. Thank you for a lovely place for us to stay!

Lovely flat. The location is superb. It was not equipped with bedding for the second bed, so we had to share bedding. The internet was spotty and required several calls. The door lock situation was very difficult and when we had a significant problem, the host required me to pay the locksmith, thus requiring the tenant to pay for routine maintenance. It is a flat managed by a large company, so there is no personal or direct communication or interest by a host. It is, however, a lovely flat and a perfect location.

This was not a case of routine maintenance or a pre-existing issue with the lock. Nevertheless, we worked to resolve the situation as quickly as possible to restore access to the apartment. While we operate professionally as a property management company, we strive to provide attentive and responsive support to all our guests throughout their stay. This was a major disappointment. I needed two things, air conditioning and wifi. The air conditioner did NOT work. They had staff check it, but I was the one who slept there in the heat, on a very uncomfortable bed, with only a fan to help, because the air conditioner never got cold. I also notified with anticipation (weeks) that I would be leaving a day early and did not get a refund for the night I didn't stay there, which was the bare minimum considering the state of the apartment. The fridge door fell off, the shower had hairs in it when I got in to shower, the door downstairs was very hard to open to the point where some people would leave it open. Honestly wish I had stayed anywhere else. The only good thing was the location.

Unfortunately, during your stay the city experienced an exceptional heatwave, which caused significant difficulties and reduced the effectiveness of many air conditioning systems. We also apologize for the cleanliness issues you encountered. Had we been aware of them during your stay, we would have gladly sent our housekeeping team back immediately to resolve the situation. This is not the standard we aim to provide. We appreciate your comments.

Nice apartment, convenient location

This is a very nice, comfortable apartment in a great location for access all the sites of Florence. The only downside is, the owner does not communicate through the VRBO platform and passes you to 3 or 4 other people that you have to text directly or text through another app. This was confusing and removes protection from the guest.

Hate to leave bad reviews but there was no water

It is a great location, but there are too many bad elements for me to recommend this place. There are ongoing water problems that are occurring on the street that we were not informed about in advance, and are not mentioned in the listing. We were surprised to discover that there was no water in the apartment when we arrived, so it was impossible to wash after our travel day. We mentioned it to the host and he told us to report it to the company handyman, and only then did we find out it was a recurring issue. Additionally, the aircon doesn’t work well and woke us up in the middle of the night with incredibly loud banging so we just turned it off for the rest of the trip.

Good location…no water or AC!

This was our first bad experience during our two week stay in Italy. While the location is great, the AC barely worked so we had to open the windows to cool down at night - which meant both of us got covered in mosquito bites. There was absolutely NO water in morning and evening hours (sink or shower). I reported the issue to the host, they gave me a WhatsApp number to contact. I received no response to my messages even though the app showed the person read them. I see another review for this property mention that this is an ongoing issue. There was no warning about the water issue during check in and no apology for the inconvenience from the host. Would not stay here again!

We were very excited to visit Florence and booked the suite for 3 days. It was confusing to locate as the numbers go up and down on the street. The sidewalks are very small and we had to wait a long time for our host to send someone to open the gate to check us in. The Wi-Fi was not working and we had to pay the city tax on the spot before we could take the room. There were a lot of broken things - the kitchen door, the fan, and the unusual set up of having the sink in a closet with a hotplate to cook was surprising. The kitchen amenities were sparce but the bedroom and sitting room with a convertible bed was good. Wonderful bathroom and good location. Tiny elevator to the 5th floor and unusual set up with the AC unit that could not be left on without the padlock key to the front door.
