This apartment was a 20 on a scale of one to ten! I really can’t say enough about it. It was in the best location in Bologna—right next to the two towers yet it was silent inside the apartment despite the sea of humanity passing underneath nearly all day. It was plenty of room for a family of 3 adults. The host, Francesca was extremely responsive. We had no issues with the rental other than upon arrival we noticed very low water pressure, which was resolved within the hour. We are traveling Italy for 7 weeks so we are noticing a pattern. Unlike US rentals, you can expect no amenities like paper towel or tissues and that was true here. But the grocery store was less than a 5 min walk and that was fine. We all cam down with a 48-hr bug and had to spend at least a day and a half in bed. I am SOOO glad that we were in this light filled, nicely appointed, quiet apartment and not the one we are in now in Florence….I highly recommend this apartment.

Located in a very centralised part of historic Bologna, the apartment was perfect for our 5 night stay in the city. Very clean, quiet and the small kitchen & sitting area was ideal! Highly recommended!

Amazing location!

We really enjoyed our stay in Bologna and at Residence Petronio. The location was just perfect, centrally located in the historic district , just a few steps from Piazza Maggiore and the 2 towers. The apartment had everything we needed for our family of 4. Highly recommend this place.

Unbeatable location, and just as advertised

The apartment has the feel of a hotel suite with a kitchenette. Everything was clean, the contactless check-in was easy, and the location is truly unbeatable for walking around Bologna. It was the perfect situation for our family (2 adults, 2 kids).

The apartment was fantastic. I dont think it was the one in the pictures i originally saw but there are a few in the building. Location is amazing, right in the centre. The windows keep a lot of noise out but be prepared for some noise at night particularly at the weekend. Beds were very comfortable. We would stay again and would recommend.

A winner in Bologna

We were very pleased with our stay at Petronio Residence. The apartment is not fancy, but it is totally adequate. The location can’t be beat. It’s a bit noisy, but it quieted down to allow good sleeping. The windows are remarkably soundproof! Definitely recommend if you want to be in the center of the action in Bologna.

Great Bologna apartment

Apartment is in an excellent position. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The washing machine is downstairs but was readily available. Note if you're catching a taxi tot he apartment they need to drop you just around the corner as they aren't supposed to stop in the street.

Great stay to visit Bologna!

We had a great stay, the apartment was clean, fantastic location next to the towers! Everything you need for your stay. Laundry room was right in the building, so convenient! Elevator up, busy location but almost completely sound proof! Only drawback was that due to construction on the towers, taxis and cars are not allowed for close pick up and drop off. The host will let you know all details you need :)

While this property was extremely clean, it was not as pictured in the VRBO photos. I selected this apartment based on the interior design, with the fresh green themed interior providing major appeal to me. It turns out that the apartment was a completely different color scheme - reddish with off white, which was not appealing and made the apartment appear more dark and dreary than the online photos. I likely would never have selected in if i saw photos of the actual apartment. Some of the furniture was different than the VRBO listing photos, which also made the apartment not as attractive - primarily in the living room; there was a different couch, dining table and book case. the rental agency said that the apartment had recently been remodeled, and the paint job did appear fresh, but we also noticed that the fridge was missing its front panel which really downgraded the quality of the kitchen area. Given that this was not a cheap rental, I would not have expected to these disapointments. Despite all this, the rental agency had excellent communications and did allow an early check in.

Dear Lisa, thank you for your detailed feedback and for your kind words about our communication and early check-in — we truly appreciate it. We would like to clarify that the apartments at Residence Petronio have been very recently renovated, with the aim of improving both their aesthetics and overall functionality. The photos online have been updated only recently, and we are sorry if this caused any confusion or if the new style did not meet your personal expectations. Regarding the fridge panel, it is currently missing due to a delay from our supplier, and it will be installed very shortly. We are sorry that some aspects of the apartment did not fully meet your expectations, and we thank you for your feedback, which is always valuable for us. Kind regards, Bologna Residences Team
