Lovely weeks stay in stunning cottage

We had a great weeks stay at the cottagr, myself & 2 children. House was fantastic, had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Lovely little village and some great walks to be had.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful village

A comfortable, beautifully renovated, well appointed cottage in the heart of Flushing. Excellent information on the local area from the owner. Perfect as a base to explore the coastline and the Fal River.

We appreciated the owner emailing us with details of the house and advising us we can contact her

We know Flushing well and love staying there. Short ferry trip to Falmouth, it had it own little food shop and three eating places

Super cottage in a lovely billage

The cottage is very well appointed, everything you could possibly need. Good kitchen, 2 good bathrooms, all very comfortably furnished. A real gem is the little garden, great to relax in the evening sun with the smell of roses in the air! Thanks for a great stay

3 Phd's needed to work the Tv but we only had one!no microwave to reheat my cup of tea which was always cold by the time we had found the News on the tvhad to ask for towel rails to switched on and heating to be turned up. Falmouth was cold

So sorry you found the TV difficult. Next time by all means contact us and we can talk you through the controls. We will make sure there are clear instructions in the house for future stays. The design of the kitchen means we can’t accommodate a microwave (see amenity list) - the induction hob works well to heat things up quickly. Sorry you found it cold - Cornish weather can be unpredictable! We put the heating and towel rails up as soon as you mentioned - we hope this was some help. We hope you otherwise found the house, Flushing and the local area enjoyable.

Everything we dreamed of

Our stay in beautiful Albatross was everything we had wished for and dreamed of. Jackie had made everything very easy for us, and the cottage was lovely, clean and inviting. We have had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed every minute. We also loved Flushing, the ferry trip to Falmouth, the Flushing Store and The Riverside pub/restaurant. We give this place 10+ stars.

Fantastic property. Clean, modern and everything as described. The space was really well thought out and very well appointed. We had a fantastic week and communications with the owner were really clear and very helpful. We thought this was a brilliant place to stay and look forward to hopefully visiting again.

Great place to stay to explore Cornwall

The holiday home is equipped to a high standard and the layout was suitable for us (3 adults). It was pleasantly quiet (no noise from the road or the neighbours). The village has everything you need and you can set off on walks along the coast directly from the holiday home. The location is good for trips to the famous gardens. Communication with the landlord was easy. All in all, a very successful holiday.

Exploring South Cornwall and Fal Estuary

Fantastic stay - in a pretty fishing village Everything we needed and a great location to explore the south Cornwall coast and the River Fal valley. Spotlessly clean and plus extras that we didn’t expect - such as a welcome bottle of wine. 😀 Great communications with the host and whole process went smoothly. Would recommend a visit if wanting to Falmouth and the Roseland area .

Simply perfect

Fantastic location, lovely cottage, clean, high standard of decor, linens, towels etc. Good powerful showers, This is the fifth time that we’ve stayed in Flushing, each time at different houses. This one we would be happy to stay at again. Great communication from the owner and some well thought out things such as a second set of keys. The courtyard is a sun trap, and despite the high winds outside, the courtyard was still and peaceful. If you haven’t booked yet, what are you waiting for, you won’t be disappointed.

Highly Recommend!

Just returned from a fantastic stay! The cottage was perfect - we felt so at home! The cottage had everything we needed and was very nicely furnished and decorated. Communication with Jackie the host was excellent. Overall a very happy and comfortable stay! Flushing as a village we loved. With family staying in Falmouth, we caught the water taxi but driving round was no issue either. Enjoyed the costal walk to Mylor Harbour from the cottage and a walk to the Saturday morning Farmers market. Had a fantastic group meal at Castaways in Mylor harbour too. Would highly recommend a stay, you won’t be disappointed!

Family Holiday

We had a very enjoyable stay in Flushing. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed, we were particularly pleased with the over abundance of fluffy pillows and loo roll! Jackie was super helpful with advice about the area and really made sure we felt welcome with all the information and a bottle of chilled wine. Although parking directly outside the cottage wasn’t always available (as advised) it was easy enough to find a space in the village and everyone was kind and friendly, so not a problem at all. Highly recommend and would very happily return. Thankyou for a lovely holiday.

Beautiful house for a relaxing vacation

The cottage is very cozy, lovingly decorated, and welcoming. You feel comfortable immediately and can relax wonderfully. The kitchen is fully equipped, so you can easily self-cater. There are two bathrooms with showers and a washing machine. In the beautiful garden, you will find a barbecue and comfortable seating. The house is located in a very quiet area. Flushing is a pretty little village with a small shop, restaurant, and pub. From here, you have a perfect starting point for hikes and trips to the surrounding area. The contact with the landlady is very nice. We felt very comfortable and will definitely recommend the cottage.

Ein sehr hübsches gemütliches Cottage, das mit allem ausgestattet ist, was man für einen schönen Urlaub braucht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das gemütliche warme Bett und die dicken, weichen Handtücher. Obwohl das Haus direkt an der Straße liegt, ist es super ruhig in der Nacht. Die Kommunikation mit Jackie war sehr angenehm. Sie hat uns viele Tipps gegeben für Ausflüge und Restaurants.Wir hatten trotz schlechten Wetters einen sehr entspannten Urlaub im wunderbaren Flushing. Bei schönem Wetter hätten wir sicher auch den sehr gepflegten und geschützten kleinen Garten zum Grillen genutzt. Ein Hinweis: Wenn man ein altes Häuschen am Meer bucht, sollte man wissen, dass es dort schon mal leicht muffig riechen kann. Das hat uns aber schon nach dem ersten Tag nicht mehr gestört.
