Our perfect stay @ Upper Vobster Farm

We loved our Courtyard Cottage. The views, attractive koi carp pond with seating area for evening aperitifs. Lovely to visit the farm animals & walks around the estate. Ideal base for local attractions. Natalie was very helpful & made us feel very welcome. The cottage was spacious, modern & well equiped. A perfect place for an enjoyable family vacation. We will definitely recommend to family & friends.

Exceptional accommodation

Coming home, was the first thought when entering the farm. I never lived on a farm but it felt very welcoming. The payed attention to detail is exceptional. Never saw similar cottages. The beds are like sleeping on clouds (usually i have problems with beds, either to hard or to soft)! Thank you for this welcoming experience. Will definitely come again!

Wonderful weekend retreat

We had a lovely time at Upper Vobster Farm - we were well-looked after by our very helpful host and our cottage was spotlessly clean. Our daughter loved feeding the animals and playing by the stream and in the forest. It was a perfect base to explore the area.

Tranquil and beautiful place to stay

Courtyard Cottage is incredibly comfortable with all amenities (full kitchen) good heating and everything needed for a stay to explore the local area as well a beautiful walks around the rural property The beds were super comfortable and it is quiet and peaceful We would love to visit again it is an exceptional place to stay

Lovely stay at Vobster Farm

Had a lovely stay again at Vobster farm . The cottage is beautiful and very well appointed. Natalie was very welcoming and extremely helpful giving us great recommendations for eating out and trips . It’s a beautiful setting with all the animals and gorgeous grounds. The perfect place to unwind . Can’t wait to return.

Always an amazing place to stay

We have stayed many times at the Courtyard Cottage and every time we feel more than welcomed and cared for. The area around and the wonderful service 24/7 from the manager and the owners are incredible. You can really feel this place is run by absolute dedication of service to people and their wellbeing. Beautiful Vobster

I love staying here. The attention to detail is exquisite and everyone is so welcoming . Facilities are gorgeous. Loved the spacious , well appointed kitchen ready for any amount of people . Stay at Upper Vobster Farm

We had a wonderful stay at Vobster Farm and a truly magical and memorable time . The farm is stunning and the cottages are are beautiful . We were shown amazing hospitality from the moment we arrived from a welcome hamper to lots of suggestions for eating out and days out . We were invited to feed to animals each morning too which was a great experience and really made our trip every special . Vobster Farm totally exceeded our expectations and we miss it already .

A beautiful stay

Had a brilliant time in beautiful Vobster farm. The surroundings are gorgeous. So peaceful and beautiful. The attention to detail in the accommodation super supportive for a very relaxed stay. Everything about our stay at Upper Vobster Farm was absolutely incredible. Every detail was attended to with care and warmth and nothing was ever an issue for the staff in supporting us with our stay. The communication in the lead up to our stay was exceptional and we knew everything we needed to know to ensure a smooth and easy arrival process. I hold high standards about the quality I enjoy and expect from an accommodation and this surpassed all my expectations - I could not fault a single thing. It was beyond exceptional in every way. Upper Vobster Farm

Staying at Upper Vobster farm is always an absolute joy - the standard never drops and has remained consistent through all the years of staying here previously. The location is stunning with great walks up through the woods and fields (the abundance wild garlic and bluebell time in the woods in springtime is beyond beautiful) There is absolutely no hesitation in recommending Upper Vobster Farm with its various types of accommodation, for all to stay at.

Courtyard Cottage Review

We had a fantastic stay at Courtyard Cottage. The the standard of accommodation and attention to detail was excellent. It was both luxurious and welcoming. The staff were extremely helpful and the location and surrounding countryside is superb. We had catering on our evening of arrival and during the workshop and the food was amazing. The workshop was excellent, really well run, informative and fun. We would definitely like to return at some stage.

Easter weekend break

We had a wonderful Easter weekend break staying in the Courtyard Cottage. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a home away from home. It was thoughtfully equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need. The cottage was stylish and very comfortable. My girls were absolutely delighted with the Easter egg hunt. It was such a magical and memorable touch that really made the stay unforgettable. Feeding the animals and collecting eggs every morning was another highlight. In fact it is difficult to list what was the best as there were so many. The walks in the wood, sitting on the swing listening to the birds and the running water or just sitting in the summer house reading a book. The team at Upper Vobster farm were all lovely. A special thank you to Natalie - your warmth and attention to detail made all the difference. It truly wouldn’t have been the same without you. We would love to return!

Attention to detail was excellent, we had fluffy robes and were welcomed with delicious home made treats, freshly baked with the duck eggs from the farm. We enjoyed feeding the hens, ducks, bantams and sheep. Our grandson especially enjoyed collecting the freshly laid eggs too. We thoroughly recommend Upper Vobster Farm, for so many reasons, the stunning cottages, the location and tranquillity, the attention to detail and service from Nat the farm manager. The photos are amazing on the website, however in reality it’s so much better.

With my parents we look after 55 acres of land in the Somerset countryside. Growing up at the farm since 1991 over the years we have restored the buildings and the land back to its glory, so now guests can enjoy all the farm and area has to offer.

Upper Vobster Farm is a beautiful country property lovingly restored and created to help you take a rest from the stresses of life. There are so many pressures around us that take away our space and time. Upper Vobster Farm is somewhere where you can allow yourself to have a moment to be yourself again. We have 55 acres of land, including a 6 acre wood, which is a nature conservation area and preservation area for birds of prey. Nature, the woods and the sounds of the birds will make you stop in your tracks and feel the magic around. As well as the buzzards, kestrels and red kites you may well see the resident kingfishers on the stream or by one of the lakes, or hear the woodpecker at work in the ancient oak tree.

As our guest you are welcome to enjoy all that we have to offer. There are wonderful walks, places to sit and time to be. From the buildings the land slopes down to a stream in the valley below. There are two small lakes with damsel flies and dragonflies, one with a beach with logs and rocks to sit on that also harbours a large number of newts and the other one which is near an old stone bridge that leads you on to the old drovers way. But please remember that playing in or by or with water is what children like best and it is your responsibility to make sure that they are supervised by an adult at all times.

You’ll find a flock of North Ronaldsay rare breed sheep, pygmy goats, various ducks which live in their own castle, many varieties of hens and other wildlife. Grasses and wildflowers are abundant in summer, bluebells and wild garlic in spring and numerous fungi in autumn. Winter frosts leave an enchanting feel to treasure when you’re all wrapped up and can come back to a warm fire.

We are close to Longleat, Bath, Frome, Cheddar Gorge and many other Somerset attractions. Babington House is just around the corner.

And whilst here you can still work and keep up with the world as we have dedicated fibre internet upto 100 Mbps.
