Was delighted with the property initially. Lovely sitting room, well-appointed, pretty view. Kitchen was complete, though we only used the toaster and the kettle, so cannot comment on the other appliances. We did initially notice a musty smell when we went downstairs to the bedrooms. Thought that might be normal for the area. First night my husband commented on a bit of congestionin the morning, but it cleared up during the day outside. The second night it became unbearable for him and he ended up sleeping upstairs on the sofa. We notified them during breakfast that we found mold growing on the wall paper, drapery and carpets. But we were scheduled to check out anyway. The agent for the owner said they would contact owner - I wanted assurances this would be remedied before the next tenant. And a refund for the discomfort of having to vacate the bedroom in the middle of the night. After a week and a half, I received an email from the agent, that they were offering 10% discount, but no mention of remedied premises. I wrote back and said my review would reflect our experience. According to UK hotel laws, mold is not to be tolerated and should not be rented as it is a serious health issue. I'm not usually a complainer, and I don,'t handle these confrontations well, but I believe health and safety issues for Travellers is important.
