Ideally situated

Lovely clean and well set out shepherds hut, ideally positioned for exploring the Cotswolds. Very close to GWR steam railway, Studley castle & Hailes abbey. The host is very friendly & helpful. Very peaceful weekend had by all.

A perfect place to enjoy the silence

The best accommodation we ever had. Lovingly and tastefully furnished. With a beautiful landscape around, a BBQ, the marvelous hot tub and steam locomotives passing by, the hut is the perfect place for taking a break from daily life. And not to forget the owner, always charming and happy to help.

What a gem of a property. We had the most wonderful weekend. The hut is so beautiful and well done, the location is lovely and the hot tub was just brilliant. David was such a good host, there to greet us and set the hot tub up each day. We will definitely be returning.

Luxurious Stay

A lovely stay in a beautiful location. David was so welcoming and friendly. He has done an absolutely fabulous job of the Shepherds Hut and the hot tub was just divine. Would love to return in the summer because I can imagine the exclusive decking being a right little sun trap. The bed was so comfy and the duvet was cosy and kept us warm. Stayed in many Shepherds Huts before and this is by far one of the most luxurious ones.

Fantastic 4 night break

This is the second year we have stayed here and yet again had a fabulous stay. The shepherds hut is in a beautiful location with the steam train virtually at the bottom of the garden. It is beautifully maintained and the hot tub is to die for. Beautiful and quiet location convenient for many of the local attractions. David, the owner, was extremely helpful but very respectful of our privacy. His local knowledge was invaluable. 10/10 will definitely stay again.

Fantastic, Peaceful Trip Away

We had the most wonderful stay at this charming shepherd’s hut in the Cotswolds. The hut itself was spotless, cosy, and beautifully thought out, with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The hot tub was such a treat – perfect for unwinding in the evenings – and the BBQ made for some lovely dinners outside. The location is fantastic, tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private, yet only a short drive to lots of picturesque Cotswold villages. It was the ideal base for exploring. Our host was absolutely brilliant – so helpful, polite, and genuinely welcoming. Communication was excellent from start to finish, which made everything completely stress-free. All in all, a perfect countryside escape – we honestly couldn’t recommend it more highly and can’t wait to come back!

Bets escape you could imagine!

This little shepherds hut is a perfect escape to the Cotswolds. It was clear, well kept, with everything you could need. The hot tub and the view is excellent and made it a delight to come back to every night. The village is quaint and peaceful, with excellent historic churches to visit. The host went above and beyond to accommodate us and make sure we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Thank you for having us, we recommend this location very highly and hope to be back!

A little place of calm

David the host was there to great us, familiarised us with how to use the hot tub and told us about the local area. The shephards hut was clean and incredibly comfortable, the king-size bed was a perk, and the TV perfectly placed for resting after a long day. The hot tub was glorious, a 4 seater so incredibly spacious. The hut had everything you needed, including bathrobes and towels for both showering and the hot tub. The local area was lovely, with some gentle walks surrounding. It was very peaceful and could see a full sky of stats at night. Seeing the occasional steam train go past was cool too! Would definitely come again!

A dreamy solo break for peace & quiet!

My stay at the Outbak shepherds hut was just a DREAM! I am a 26year old personal trainer/ fitness instructor and this was a break to take a breathe and have some calm time as life at home is very chaotic! This was just the perfect place to stay! The weather was perfect! Beautiful and PLENTY of local walks and footpaths to venture off during the day! I was only 15 mins away from cheltenham to visit a gym I know well. The fruit farm was a walk away to visit and was a perfect coffee break and to pick some fresh fruit for my breakfasts and a visit to the farm shop to buy some lovely gifts for those back at home! I visited Bourton on Water which was just a 20 min drive away and what a beautiful place to go! I would have loved to have stayed longer to visit more of the recommended places in the extremely informative booklet in the cabin! The stay at the cabin was perfect! It had everything I needed. The hottub was set up easily each day to be able to use with clear instructions! It was lovely to have a table and chairs outside as well as the sunbeds too! Inside the cabin the bed was so cosy, plenty of pillows, lovely chairs to sit and chill on as well as the dining table to eat from! Having wifi and a smart tv was perfect to still be able to have contact online and chill out with my favourite programmes! The kitchen area was perfect to fit for my dietry needs; I did not eat out or local as I just wanted to be in my own comfort in the evenings but there were lots of choices to eat out even though I chose not to and the cooker was perfect and then having the toaster and microwave too! Dish washing facilities were great with plenty of utensils! It would have been handy to have a pair of cooking tongs and scissors though! The bathroom was perfect and clean and lovely pressure with the water. Lovely towels and gowns provided for the shower and hottub too! I am very refreshed since getting back and I am without a doubt going to come back for another visit!

Couldn’t ask for better!

Me and my girlfriend had an absolutely wonderful long weekend in the outbak shepherds hut! Dave was such a gentleman and a sweetheart, offering to pick us up from the pub and recommending walking routes for our stay. The hot tub was stunning and the beautiful wood smell was unreal, the hut itself was very comfortable with a comfortable bed, a very clean and well looked after shower and everything you could need. It was very private and we felt very safe, very central within the Cotswolds. We will definitely be coming again!

lovely peaceful stay with everything we needed

The Outbak shepherds hut was a lovely well equipped hut in a very peaceful location. The trains occasionally coming by was lovely and added to the idyllic scene. It felt very private but not too remote and not far rfom local towns if we needed anything. The hut itself is very clevery designed to give storage and space for relaxing indoors if the weather should not allow you to sit outside. We had wonderful weather so we were able to make use of the hot tub outside and the spacious decking area.

A fantastic escape in a beautiful location

A wonderful shepherds hut with everything you need in a peaceful and beautiful location. The wood fired hot tub was fabulous and the outside space perfect on a hot summer weekend - although we could see that the hut would be cosy on a winter break. We will be back! Highly recommend.

Weekend Away

The location of the property was very good and easy to find. The layout was compact and bijou and had everything needed for the weekend. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a day walking and the bbq worked a treat. It was within easy walking distance of Hayles Farm Shop and cafe which is well worth a visit. Overall a great place to stay and would highly recommend it. Thanks

Fantastic

We needed a break and a break is what we got! Perfect location, views and place. Hut is furnished to a high spec, attention to detail is fabulous with everything you could possibly need. BBQ and hot tub were an added bonus and appreciated, even the weather stayed lovely. Definitely recommend Outback, perfect for a relaxing break.

Fantastic getaway hut

Well maintained hut in beautiful location. All facilities exactly as required. Friendly owner David explained all we needed to know on arrival. Hot tub was fantastic once we got to grips with lighting and maintaining the fire. Wished we could have stayed longer.

First time in the Cotswolds

4 night stay location ideal for short stay walking car req for further attractions steam railway virtually within touching distance local pubs within 10 mins driving all do excellent food at reasonable price . Shepherds hut unique experience very comfortable and peaceful location with nice modern bathroom wood fired hot tub a nice touch . Ideal place just to sit out and re charge batteries and de stress .
