This property is adorable and comfortable. It is located right in the center of the village, yet quiet in the evenings. It was a great stay!

Perfect holiday home and conveniently located near places of interest in The Cotwolds. We will certainly stay at Buckthorn Cottage again.

Great stay at this lovely cottage, shaded by a couple of birch trees and bushes. This was very welcome as it was during recent high temperatures. Downstairs, with its stone floor, stayed nice and cool. Great location in the centre of Chipping Campden with easy access to many of the top sites/villages in the area.

Accommodation was excellent, perfect location just off the high street with easy access to shops and restaurants. Wouldn't hestitate to recommend and will definitely be returning again - thank you for the complimentary milk and cake very thoughtful

Ideal stay. Convenient and comfortable. Lots to do in the area. Plenty of places to eat. Cottage was charming and good location, surprisingly quiet and perfect for exploring the town. We would stay again.

Ideal location, easy walk to local shops, pubs etc. Easy parking. Property was equipped with all the things you need for a lovely stay in the Cotswolds. Decor in keeping with the Property, comfy bed. Wifi code didn't work needed to be printed not written.

Perfect spot in Chipping Campden!

We loved everything about this cottage. Location- Comfort - Can’t fault it! 11 nights here were a very memorable part of our trip in the uK. Chipping Campden is a lovely ancient village and a great base to see all the Cotswold district has to offer. Would love to come back someday.

Location and charm

Steps to the centre of Chipping Campden and a charming cottage. Fresh milk and tea and chocolates when we arrived. We arrived early and were able to check in. Would recommend this delightful cottage for your Cotswold adventure.

Chipping Camden

Fantastic location with the Noel Arms in stagger distance. The cottage was immaculate and catered even for our dog with dog bowls and treats. No negative comments, would definitely stay again as the cottage and Chipping Camden were wonderful.

Absolutely perfect spot to stay for a long weekend in Chipping Campden! We were visiting for a wedding and had everything we needed. The chocolates upon arrival made my husband’s day after our long trip. There was even a handy iron! We loved walking to Bromley’s in the morning for coffee and a light breakfast and then meandering around town. Plenty of restaurants a stone’s throw away, but the home was still quiet as could be. Thank you so much!

Beautiful quaint little cottage in the heart of the town

Immaculately clean cottage which is in the heart of the town and easy walking distance to shops, cafes and pubs. The kitchen is well stocked with all the utensils you will need, the bed is very comfortable. A really lovely stay. Our only small issue was with the parking on arrival as it seems that hotel guests tend to use the space and don't look at the private parking sign allocated to the space. The hotel staff weren't very helpful as they don't keep a record of car number plates for their guests. Apart from that, we had a wonderful stay over New Year and enjoyed the pubs in the beautiful town. Thoroughly recommend the property.

Lovely location but NOT as advertised

This cute apartment was listed as a 2 bedroom, which it is NOT. It also said that there was a sofa bed with futon which was not the case. VRBO did not give me accurate directions to find the place. The name of the cottage "Hawthorn" would've been useful. We tried several cottages' lockboxes with no luck and with the help of another guest we found it. Ali, the host was helpful once I complained about the lack of linens for the hard sofa. Kitchen was nice, quiet, clean and recently updated. People just need to know it's a ONE bedroom and the name is Hawthorn. I'm souring on VRBO.

Delightful Cottage In Excellent Cotswolds Location

My family spent a wonderful weekend at Buckthorn Cottage in May 2022. The cottage is in the lovely village/town of Chipping Campden and was very central for shops/restaurants etc but tucked away off the high street with no passing traffic and therefore very quiet for its central location. The cottage, ideally suited to a couple, but my son spent a night on the sofa bed which was more than acceptable for short stays. Although the cottage only has 1 parking spot, there are no parking restrictions in the high street. Immaculately clean and finished to an excellent standard with every need catered for. The kitchen was very well equipped. Fabulous walks directly from our door and dog friendly too. Purchased a breakfast hamper which was truly amazing and fantastic value for money, I would highly recommend you purchase one to sample the wonderful local produce. Also had a lovely roast dinner at The Eight Bells in the town later on a Sunday evening when most places were shut. Can't praise Grey Dove Property Team for their attention to detail and attentiveness. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

What a wonderful base for a holiday in the Cotswolds. Firstly the property manager, Ali, who could not have been more helpful. Advising we arrived at Heathrow at 7am and could we have earlier access she wrote come straight here! Only later did she realise that we may be there at 10 did she ask what time we might arrive. I appreciated her kindness and said midday . We arrived at 1pm, parked in our designated spot (ours for the duration) and went inside to find everything neat, clean and welcoming (particularly the cake and milk). From this comfortable, well appointed, home we toured, walked and relaxed. The Noel Arms is so close that hot chips were still too hot to eat when we brought them to eat in the small but secluded garden. The narrow steep staircase is not a problem and the ceiling is anything but low. I am elderly and still over 6feet tall but had no problem. The bathroom was not an English bathroom of old with intermittent hot water and indifferent drainage The shower, with plentiful water, came from above your head. It is tempting to give a rotten review so that we can come again easily in the future; that would be unfair but we do intend to do so. Don’t tell your friends until you have secured your booking.

We loved everything about this little cottage! The pictures truly did not do it justice. Very very clean. It was in the absolute perfect location. You can walk onto the high street within minutes. So many cute shops, and yummy restaurants! We would absolutely visit again. Chipping Campden is such a quaint little town. Bed was very cozy. 10/10 experience!
