The space
Vintage furnished flat, very quiet with view on Acropolis and surrounding hills from its 2 balconies. Located in Koukaki district Just 7' walk to Acropolis, 3' walk to subway and 20' walk to Syntagma square or Monastiraki. Bus stop just down the building entrance. Ideal for romantic couples, families, friends or business visitors.

Other things to note

First of all our host Thanos is amazing, he provided some provisions unexpectedly so thoughtful. He is prompt to respond to any questions you might have and his recommendations for dinner or any meal was well worth the trip. The accommodation was very clean well lit and close enough to walk to many attractions, we felt safe walking everywhere. I highly recommend the Acropolis vintage style apartment to anyone looking to enjoy Athens. Thank you Thanos you're the best.

Thanos was very accommodating and hospitable. We would definitely stay here again! The property makes walking to everything very easy and the area is lovely. Most historic sites are walkable and the restaurants near the apartment are amazing! Highly recommend!

Perfect location to explore Athens! Walking distance to the Acropolis and directly on a bus route for checking out the city. Our host was very responsive and welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed.

The neighborhood was wonderful and the people friendly , very social and welcoming. The location was perfect for walking to many amazing points of interest. Thanos himself was the heart of what I’d hoped Greek people exemplify. Many of the small shop owners in the area are actually more interested in interacting than selling their products, but they don’t mind if you buy . It’s helpful to them if you pay cash and I strongly advise learning a few Greek words, it’s appreciated. When walking don’t rely solely on street signs and you’ll be fine . The price of the apartment was excellent and the furnishings comfortable.

Overall it was good, great location, great communication, the bathroom could maybe be cleaner and the last couple days the lift was down, and my 70 year old mother had to climb 5 flights of stairs. Not the hosts fault, but effected our experience nonetheless, overall if you’re young and don’t need the fanciest place, it is good!

The apartment is very well situated, in a neighborhood with good restaurants and cafés, a short walk from the more touristic areas without being right up in them. The AC proved to be helpful to our sleep.You can see the parthenon from the balcony! The apartment itself is functional and decently kept. The host was very kind and responsive! I'd go back there if I went back to Athens.

Thanos was an amazing host and so accommodating to our arrival times and needs. His home was exactly what we were hoping for in Athens, safe, clean, centrally located but it also felt like a truly authentic experience in his home. We felt like we were in the city and able to experience it more like a “local” vs staying in a hotel that could be plopped anywhere in the world. The A/C worked well in the heat and having an in unit washer was amazing. The fresh croissants from Oliver’s were a highlight for our kids each morning. Honestly, I can’t say enough good things about our stay. Thanos provided some extra breakfast and lunch staples which were so helpful for getting us up and going.

Thanos is an amazing host - very warm and friendly and extremely kind and generous. Koukaki is a great area of Athens - everything is very walkable. The apartment is quiet with two balconies with views to the Acropolis and Lycabbetus. Great communication from Thanos and he met us for checking in. He provided lots of provisions for breakfast and was incredibly flexible on checkout as we had an evening flight. Wonderful traditional Greek hospitality.

Thanos was an excellent host. He was there to help me settle in, provided groceries for breakfast, and was always prompt in returning my messages when I had a question. The apartment is in a convenient and safe location. Great for travelers on a budget. Close to bus, trolley and Metro. Walking distance to the Acropolis and many, many restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. The little shop on the corner sells a wide range of things you forgot to bring - hair brush, kitchen utensils, school supplies, etc.

I'm grateful to this incredibly helpful local host devoted to serving his guests. Convenient walking location to all things central and awesome view at an affordable price. If you don't mind an older space (note that it is definitely vintage), I recommend this stay!

Beautiful vintage home just steps away from the acropolis museum. Thanos is a great guest! Very welcoming! He makes you feel at home with his hospitality and helps you with directions. Groceries, restaurants and pharmacy just steps away from this place. I would 100% recommend this place and willl be coming back in the near future. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Great Location with Many amenaties near by

I have stayed in this apartment several times. The house is clean and well-organized for guests with all the amenities. Thanos is a great host and very accommodating!! The location is in The Tourist center of Athens and is very accessible to nearby archaeological sites like the Acropolis, as well as a multitude of bars and restaurants. I highly recommend this apartment for couples or those who have a small family as well, you won't be disappointed.
