The Stables - Spacious Cottage with Hot Tub

A large spacious kitchen, living and dining area, with tall ceilings and oak beams creates a light and airy modern cottage, but retains a cozy and romantic feel.

As a level bungalow, it is suitable for wheelchair users or guests with limited mobility.

Perfect for couples, with a massive Superking-sized bed, although the bed can also be made into twin single beds if required.

The cottage benefits from a ‘dog friendly’ fully enclosed patio.

The side patio is a sun trap, and perfect for sitting outside to eat alfresco or enjoy a glass of wine.

Excellent stay

Another great stay despite the few days of rain. Already booked again for 2027. Within easy reach of Newquay and perranporth, 2 of the places we love to visit. Clean and well stocked. Everything you could possibly need with the advantage of a very warm hot tub which is lovely for relaxing your aching muscles after a full day out. X

Our 2nd stay with Harrods Cornish Cottages in 2024 having stayed at The Forge in June. Perfect week away. Lovely time in The Stables. Excellent place to stay and a great base to visit Cornwall

Excellent cottage, best adapted and spacious we've stayed at. Would book again. Hot tub was a bonus.

Had a wonderful stay at this amazing cottage for 7 nights. Was so spacious and clean, quality wooden floors for easy wheeling, big bedroom and a very large, well adapted wet room, bighest bathroom we've ever seen. Would stay again and recommend to anyone.

Great accessible accomodation

2nd time we’ve stayed in the Stables, it meets our needs perfectly. The space is great for anyone like my husband who uses an electric wheelchair, a profile bed and riser recliner chairs were also available to us. Great countryside location too it’s very peaceful but close to the seaside resorts of Perranporth and Newquay.

Wonderful stay at Harrods cottages

Cottage was beautiful, woodland walk behind the cottage was perfect for dogs. Accommodation was perfect, luxury bedding, thick towels - simply perfect in every way. We will be back.

Brilliant

Wheelchair and dog friendly lets in the south west are quite difficult to find, and we didn't hold out much hope of being able to get a last minute break in August, but fortunately for us Harrods had some late availability on the dates that we needed. The Stables was clean and tidy, with everything I needed to make the stay a home from home. It is well appointed and there's plenty of room to get around in a wheelchair even with 2 medium dogs doing their best road block impressions. It is in a lovely quiet and secluded area, but close enough to visit all if the usual Cornish tourist spots as well as some hidden gems that we discovered along the way. We all thoroughly enjoyed are stay and look forward to coming back again another time to visit some more places.

Exemplary as always

Multi time returning customer and as per our previous visits everything was perfect, real home from home with everything you'd need for a holiday. My wife and I, along with our dog Herbie, really enjoyed our Easter weekend stay. Highly recommend.

Fantastic cottage

Amazing cottage very clean and everything you could possibly need. Lovely fenced in garden for our dog and woodland walk. Great location for exploring Cornwall. Very helpful hosts and the hot tub was a bonus. Would highly recommend.

A relaxed and comfortable trip

Thanks, we had a very pleasant 4 nights stay and owners were very helpful with changes we required during the week. The Stables offered a comfortable environment and provided easy access at all times. Having access to a grass area and small woodland was lovely for a short wander with the dog, and the strawberry jam was delicious. Will certainly return for another stay.

Excellent accessible accommodation

The best accessible accommodation I’ve ever stayed in !! The Stables is spotless clean throughout, all level access, outside is a lovely patio area with a table and chairs, to the side of the property is the hot tub and room for your own sun lounger’s should you want to bring them it’s a nice sun trap Thr kitchen it very well equipped and modern and a nice living area, the bedroom is very large with plenty of space for wheelchair access, bedside tables , dressing table and wardrobe and also a nice comfy chair The bathroom/wet room is huge with two different styles of shower head , everything has handrails, the shower, the toilet Whatever your accessibility needs are just let Rebecca know before arrival and they’re met It really is a wonderful place to stay , a perfect base you’ve got peace and quiet if that’s what you’re looking for, or the beach a 10 minute drive away

Perfect home from home

A beautiful cottage, immaculately clean throughout ,a lovely cream tea awaiting us upon our arrival, all the disability aids we requested were there ready, anything we needed a quick call to Rebecca who was on hand and so very helpful and a lovely lady, nothing was to much trouble We would highly recommend Harrods’ , we've booked again to return next year

Great break

The Stables is a fabulous place to stay. Contact with Rebecca was brilliant and nothing is too much trouble for her. The cottage is amazing, clean, comfortable,well equipped ,accessible and the hot tub with the hoist is amazing. The location is great for exploring the surrounding area. I would highly recommend staying here.

Great place to unwind and enjoy pretty garden

Very happy with my stay. Comfortable and relaxed cottage in very quiet area. Nicely furnished throughout with everything I needed to hand. Great wet room , tv supplied in both bedroom and living area. Added bonus of an accessible hot tub. Will be back.

Fantastic accommodation

We stayed in The Stables for 10 days, and we both wish it was for longer. Great facilities with all requirements thought of and provided for, very clean and tidy, quiet and great location for exploring the beaches on the North Coast. Rebecca and family a pleasure to deal with. Have no hesitation in highly recommending to anyone as all the cottages are to a very high spec.

Beautiful and enabling

I could not imagine a nicer or more enabling place to stay..I have several complex health issues that severely restrict my mobility and The Stables gave me the most wonderful, stress free environment to have a holiday.

Birthday stay

The Stables has been done to a lovely standard and it was very comfortable and warm. The outside area is well maintained with the hot tub being the icing on the cake. If I could add anything it would be to request a small grass area (even astroturf) around the side for the dogs :-) We would definitely stay again and loved our stay.

Great accessible accomodation

Excellent accomodation for us, riser recliner chairs, a profile bed and shower commode chair were all supplied at no extra cost. The outdoor space is lovely and peaceful and the bungalow itself met our needs perfectly. From experience of other accessible rentals that we’ve stayed in over the past few years I think you’d be hard pushed to find better than this . We hope to return next year.

Ideal stay for disabled visitor

We would thoroughly recommend this bungalow for anyone travelling to Cornwall with mobility issues. Everything is provided for a comfortable stay including a profiling bed, riser/recliner armchair and even a Sara Stedy to aid transfers to bed or to the fully adapted wetroom. The location is perfect for visiting all that Cornwall has to offer with sites such as Lands End and the Eden Project an easy drive away. An added bonus is the private patio for a dog to wander around safely and the hot tub (if you have the weather for it). Really enjoyed our week here.

Good place to stay

A well designed layout ideal for wheelchair users, clean, bright and comfortable. The wet room is perfect with ample room, well-placed grip rails and seating. Outside area easy to use in a wheelchair. The overall impression is that the owners thought carefully about accessibility rather than just saying it's wheelchair friendly because there aren't any steps.

Beautiful Accessible accommodation close to Perranporth

This accommodation is very accessible for a wheelchair user. The additional free to hire equipment was a bonus for us and Rebecca was very helpful in arranging this. Perranporth was very accessible and even had beach wheel chairs to hire. It would be great to have a couple of oven dishes to add to the kitchen equipment. We would definitely come back and recommend to friends.

A good stay

The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable and we had a good break thank you. We forgot not to use the postcode for the Sat Nav but Rebecca helped us to find the property ia the phone.
