We had a wonderful stay and loved the location! There were 3 of us so having the additional bathroom was great. The property was big and clean, and beds very comfortable. Check in was smooth and were were met immediately upon arrival. We would book this apartment again in a heartbeat! Loved everything about it.

Good location BUT still way too much money AND the only reason I picked it was for the advertised dryer when, in fact, there wasn’t one. Trying to find a laundromat close by anything is difficult and I’ve been to Edinburgh several times. This wasn’t my first go. If I’d known there was no dryer, in fact, I would not have picked it and gone anywhere else much more quiet. The place was dusty, you could clearly see water damage in the ceiling, it was not sound-proofed from the obnoxious circus going on in the Royal Mile all day long, and there were connectivity issues. Needs refurbished - this one is definitely outdated based on the chance I had to look at other apartments in the same location.

Perfect location!

Great property and great location. Communications throughout the process were exceptional. Would highly recommend this place. In the heart of the Old Town, no need for a car.

We had a mixed experience staying at this apartment. On the positive side, the location is absolutely unbeatable and the apartment itself is very large and spacious. Having one full bathroom plus an additional half bath was incredibly convenient for our group. Furthermore, the property management team from Mason and Carr was excellent—extremely responsive, helpful, and quick to communicate throughout our stay, and provided us with fans we had requested within half an hour of our request. However, the apartment itself is showing its age and needs maintenance. The carpets are quite old, and if you dont wear footwear you will feel little poky things. We experienced several functional issues during our stay: the toilets need to be flushed atleast twice for clearance, , multiple electrical outlets do not work, and the Wi-Fi is very slow and cuts off entirely for periods of time.If the management team updates the carpet and fixes these utility issues, this would easily be a five-star stay given the amazing location and space. Please note this review is for 5 Parliament square, they are very honest about the stairs, - the climb is steep and bringing up the bags and taking the trash out was not easy but again you cant beat this location and space.

Great location. The flat was clean and spacious, nicer than in the photos. Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but that is the only possible critique - and didn't bother our group much at all. Based on other reviews, we had fully been expecting issues with noise at night. However, even though we were there during Fringe, the nights were surprisingly quiet and peaceful.

In the heart of all…noisy and busy.

Spacious. Each guest gets 1 towel, 1 facecloth. Washer though no dryer. Great location and space. High energy area both fun and loud. Very old pans that need to be tossed and replaced. Excellent communication with Sacha.

Noisy by fun....

Everything was good about the apartment it self and the location was fantastic. In the description it did mention that since your on the royal mile in the center of town there would be city noise. However, it didn't prepare us for the constant singing, reveling and shouting that lasted over the weekend that we were there - until 4am! Very hard to get a full nights sleep...

Beautiful apartment, fully equipped with everything you will need. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the Royal Mile ( it’s almost right in the middle between Hollyrood Palace and Edinburgh Castle. Communication was excellent and responses almost immediate! We were three adults and two children and it worked perfectly. Very clean and well maintained. However we were in apartment 5, that means five winding flights up the stairs hauling luggage…difficult ! I have to say those stairs were not for the faint of heart. The apartment overlooks the Royal Mile so you can look out the window and watch the daily events, which was fun but a bit loud at night if you are a light sleeper. Otherwise beautiful apartment and I would stay again but on a lower floor.

A gem and saving grace, all at once.

This review is a long time coming. We've only just returned home from our UK tour with our two small children and of all the places we stayed - and even though both of our kids ended up with a stomach virus during our stay in Edinburgh - this stop was by far the very, very best. First off, the team is outstanding as is the owner. They were knowledgeable and sympathetic to our exhausting travels leading up - and stellar in supporting us when the kids also went and got a stomach virus! They constantly went over and above to serve! We hardly felt that we deserved such royal treatment bringing two sick kids into their flat. But we were made to feel safe and at home - invaluable when you're stressed and a long way from your own home. Now for the flat itself - the brightest, cleanest, most spacious amazing space with the best views! As New Yorkers, we shy away from touristy locations but, though technically this apartment is right smack in the middle of it all, it did not feel overwhelming or crazy. It was *perfect*. We could easily access any place we'd want to go on our quick stop (two nights, one full day) in Edinburgh by a 15 min walk in either direction on the gorgeous at every turn Royal Mile. We gazed upon Arther's Seat from the kitchen window. The kids watched the street performers with gusto from the living room window. The windows were huge, the linens perfection. We *loved* this place AND the community that manages it. So grateful for the stay. We hope to return one day!
