Lovely cottage

Lovely cottage, warm and cozy. Comfortable beds and quiet location. No rear access to the garden you access through the side gate. Parking in front of the garage or in the garage (which is small I couldn’t park my Audi Q3 in there, but the T Roc fitted - just!) underfloor heating downstairs and a separate WC. The over bath shower isn’t great if you are over 4ft tall, suggest using the hand held. The welcome pack was lovely and so was the welcome pack for the dogs.

Our housekeeping team work very hard to make sure the properties are clean, warm and comfortable for guests arrival so they will be very pleased with the 5 star review. I hope your dogs enjoyed playing in the enclosed garden (with the toys supplied in the welcome pack) whilst you managed to enjoy the peaceful setting and fell views. We appreciate your helpful feedback regarding the shower, and we'll certainly look into whether anything can be done to improve the shower head arrangement for future guests. As you are probably aware, parking is a premium in Keswick so we are pleased to hear you managed to fit both of your cars next to the property (even if it was a bit of a squeeze [Emoji Removed]) We hope to welcome you and your four-legged friends back again soon [Emoji Removed]

Return visit

This is our 3rd visit to Shelly cottage. It is comfortable, romantic and well located for Keswick town centre and very quiet. On other occasions we have been a bit disappointed with the cleaning under the bed in the double bedroom and rotting food stuff in the kitchen cupboards but on this occasion all was acceptable. I have emailed Keswick Cottages about small problems before but have never received replies. The cottage is priced for 4 people but as a couple it works out expensive but that is our problem. Parking is adequate but a bit tight if you have a bigger vehicle. It is now advertised as having an EV charger but when we stayed a random vehicle occupied the charger all night so was not available to the cottage residents. All in all a pleasant cottage which we would like to return to again.

Excellent location and lovely property internally. Could do with a BBQ and some of the outdoor area is a little tired. Brilliant stay though and the decor and feel of the property is very homely

great relaxing place to stay in wonderful location

We had a wonderful stay in Shelley Cottage, great location, comfortable and incredible views! Very comfortable and relaxing, just off the main road but still felt peaceful! we enjoyed the garden as well!

Had a fantastic time ! Great location and Keswick is such a great place day and night

Stayed for 2 nights in Shelley Cottage. Great location and Keswick is my favourite place in the lakes. We had great weather and the garden was lovely with the summer house that is a real sun trap. Views from the Cottage are stunning.

A beautiful period upside down cottage in a stunning location, only a 15 minute walk into Keswick. Large secure garden for dogs.

Lovely Shelley Cottage

Beautiful cottage.

Loved everything about this cottage. So cosy ,comftable and clean. Garden veiws amazing and perfect location to explore tbe lakes.would definitely recommend and hopefully return. Just stunning!

Fantastic cottage in a great location

Gorgeous cottage with fantastic views from the rear garden. Great location in Keswick, only a 10 minute walk to the town center. The cottage was spotless and had everything needed for my stay. Highly recommended and will be booking again

Lovely location for a short break

Pretty little cottage with adequate parking. On a reliable, regular bus route into Keswick or other parts of the Lakes. Easy walk into Keswick on the cycle route about 100 metres from the cottage, away from busy road. Very relaxing few days.

Gorgeous Cosy Cottage

We had a lovely stay at Shelley Cottage. It has been recently refurbished to a very high standard with lovely fully equipped kitchen. It was very cosy and warm. The location was great being a short walk to the old railway line path which goes into Keswick. We had a very relaxing stay and would definitely recommend this cottage.

Delightful

A cosy, tasteful and well equipped cottage decorated beautifully for Christmas. It also has a lovely garden which would be great in the summer - mind you, this is Keswick so it may rain then too!!

January stay at Shelley’s Cottage Keswick

Beautiful cottage in really handy location. Well equipped, warm and comfortable. Garden would be brilliant in the summer and on a dry day there would be really good views. On site parking a huge bonus. With just a short walk to the centre of Keswick and all the amenities but far enough out to be peaceful the cottage is in the ideal place. Would certainly book again!

Lovely stay at Shelley Cottage

The cottage is lovely, with stunning views from the sitting room and kitchen. It is well decorated and furnishedThe kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed. Lovely bathroom. The summer house and patio could do with upgrading, but we didn't use either as it was so nice in the cottage. Customer service from Keswick Cottages was excellent.

Beautiful cottage

We had a fantastic stay in Shelley Cottage. Immediately, it felt warm and inviting. The lounge was lovely for cosy evenings and we slept well in the bedrooms. About 20 minutes to walk into the centre of Keswick. We also walked to Walla Crag, which wasn't too far from the cottage. Didn't get to explore the gardens, but they looked beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful characteristic cottage

10/10! We had a lovely stay at this cottage which is immaculately clean and decorated beautifully. The cottage is very cosy and in a fantastic location with a lovely garden and views of the surrounding fells. The beds were very comfortable and we will definitely be returning. Communication with the owner was very easy and stress free and any questions we had were responded to very quickly. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Character dog friendly period cottage. Comfortable but limited outlook on busy road with scary acces

Comfortable and ok, but the main bedroom had a damp smell on arrival and we bought scented candles to improve. No local or welcome information on arrival other than on the web site. Good heating. Cosy. Dog friendly. Garden a bit overgrown. Characterful but dark and no outward views or outlook. On a busy road, itself not a problem so long as dog on lead outside front door but the access on the busy corner is pretty hairy and easily missed when arriving first time! Satisfactory but wouldn't go again. Kitchen ok but small. Not enough dish washer tablets.

Perfect base for exploring North Lakes

Shelley Cottage is a cosy, well appointed cottage in the beautiful town of Keswick. The cottage had everything that we needed and beautifully clean throughout. Only a short walk into the centre of Keswick but far enough out that it was lovely and peaceful - the views from the cottage are quite special! We booked through Keswick Cottages who communicated well throughout the stay and the personalised tablet was a nice touch with lots of great local information. We'll definitely book again in the near future. Thanks!

Beautiful cottage with stunning views. Only 2 criticism slight damp/drain smell on the lower floor/bedroom area. Constant dripping noise when raining in the bedroom with double bed from the ledge outside the window.

The dream holiday cottage!

This was our second year staying in Shelley cottage, having loved it so much last year, and have already booked again for a week next summer! The house is ideally located a short walk from the town centre, which makes parking and driving in/out easy, and is utterly perfect in every way!! The house itself is stunning; beautifully furnished, gorgeously decorated and with a fabulous garden with a view (great if it ever stops raining!) The beds are incredibly comfortable, and they’ve thought of everything you might need for your stay. In short - book it!! (But not when we want it )
