We stayed in Ghent as our base for our week stay in Belgium. The location is excellent and walkable to all of Ghent’s sites and train stations. The apartment itself is wonderful and spacious. The kitchen is well appointed with all of your needs. Joost was a wonderful and communicative host. We would recommend this spot to anyone and would stay again ourselves.

We loved our stay at Joosts apartment. It was super clean and cozy, a great kitchen and very comfortable bed and just a 10 minute walk into the main tourist area, so the location was fantastic. Joost was so kind and made us feel very welcome. If we ever visit Gent again we would stay here again without hesitation. Thank you so much Joost!

This apartment met all of our expectations, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ghent! We are giving it 5 stars because the owner met us right when we arrived and was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. He was always available by phone or email and answered all of our questions promptly. The apartment is wonderfully located in a fantastic neighborhood, giving us a perfect 'lived-in' feel while remaining incredibly close to great food, shopping, downtown attractions, and public transportation (which is absolutely amazing in Ghent). We couldn't have asked for a better home base for our vacation!

Great Location; Well Supplied

Very nice place, and the owner was helpful. The only problem was the very hot days made it tough to keep the place from being an oven. We were grateful that the bedroom at least had AC!

Excellent accommodation

The modern and cosy flat is ideally situated , the old town center is within easy walking or cycling distance. The host kindly offered his support repeatedly and we received all the necessary information. The flat contained everything we wished for so we were completely happy with our stay. All in all it is highly recommendable.

Gent

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. The apartment was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with every kind of gadget you could need. My only concern is that there are two sets of fairly steep stairs which might be a problem for some people it wasn’t for us, and our stay was terrific.

Nice place, pretty town

Very simple and clean. Joost, a nice guy, lives next door and was very kind to two stupid guests who locked themselves out and had to call him on Sunday morning to get back in. The apt is maybe 10 minutes' walk from the beautiful center of town on a reasonably quiet street. We had a terrific time in Ghent.

Appartment city escape

A lovely stay in this well equipped appartment. Short walking distance into the heart of Ghent. Bed very comfortable and great shower facility. Note to anyone booking with knee or accessibility problems, the stairs are quite steep. But we thoroughly enjoy our visit to this clean and welcoming home. Suggest booking the car parking which is near by, as parking is hectic in Ghent. Thank you for having us.

Ghent a base to explore Belgium

The space was spacious, modern and bright with A/C in 3rd floor BR which was very welcome with 30C days. The stairs up to the 2 storey apt are steep by N Amer standards. Easytransit to the train station for exploring beyond Ghent especially with the E7.40 round trip for 65+ after 9AM. Interesting Himalayan food store nearby + 2 bakeries. Genial host.

Wonderful Stay in Ghent Townhouse

We met Joost at his business next door, parked our rental car right in front (free parking), and were able to check in early. Everything was spotless, nice sized kitchen, comfortable living room, excellent bed, and amazing bathroom. There were no surprises. HIs maps of the city were very useful as we explored the neighborhood and Ghent Centrum. We walked everywhere, buses were available nearby though. A small grocery was nearby for meats, cheeses, and wine. Recommend this place without hesitation.

Our stay in Gent and the apartment were better than we could have imagined! Joost has thought of everything you need and the kitchen is stocked. The apartment was beautifully clean, the mattress is new and comfortable and the bathroom and shower are modern and big. The apartment is only a short 10 minute walk from the center of Gent, which is awesome and a 10 minute Uber ride to the central train station, making it a perfect place to stay and easily be able to get to other cities like Brugges, Brussels and Antwerp. Truly the perfect location! Joost was easy to reach and responded immediately with any questions we had or help that we needed. It was a wonderful trip and if we find ourselves in Belgium again, we will definitely stay at this beautiful apartment again. I highly recommend this beautiful apartment for a truly lovely stay in Belgium!! Thank you Joost!!

A fabulous apartment with a nice luxe touches

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this new and modern apartment, a quick 15 minute walk in to the heart of Gent's old town. We enjoyed some nice luxury touches (such as fluffy towels, a divine bed, doona and pillows). The apartment was spotless and the kitchen was fully equipped - we may have even been the first to use the oven! There was cable TV which we barely watched. Joost (the host) was very friendly and quick with all communications. He also allowed us to park for free outside his shop downstairs. The area was safe, but looked very run down. However, all of Gent's finest attractions are a short walk away. Note that this apartment is split over three levels; 1 - entry, 2 - kitchen/living/dining/terrace, 3 - bedroom and bathroom, so keep this in mind if you don't like stairs. I'd recommend this apartment and would stay here again if we ever return to beautiful Gent.
