A beautiful cottage

The cottage was gorgeous with plenty of outdoor space. Kitchen/diner very spacious and all equipment needed was available. Additional fridge by back door handy for drinks. Sofas in living room are too low and deep (very awkward to get out of especially with knee issues). Bedroom's very comfortable, plus a big open entrance area with lots of light. Plenty of room for all 6 of us and only 15 mins drive from Stow or Moreton

Faultless accommodation

Superb, comfortable, high class accomodation. Kitchen has every amenity and utensil you could think of. Lounge, very comfortable with a large TV. Fast internet, excellent shower, we really cannot find any fault. However, my 20 year old has a minor complaint in that there was no full length mirror. In conclusion, highly recommended and justifies the comparatively high price.

Barn End was perfect for our mini break

Barn End was the perfect location for our mini break. The house was very clean, bed rooms very comfortable and overall had everything we needed. The sofas in the lounge could do with replacing as you sunk into them when seated but other than that it was perfect.

Wonderful place

Absolutely loved our accommodation. Stunning setting, quiet and peaceful. The decor was beautifully done and everything was thoughtfully presented. And the beds….well, they were absolutely sumptuous!! Thank you for a wonderful stay which I wished had been longer.

lovely quiet location yet surrounded by great walks , towns and restaurants . very comfortable and roomy with lots of light and space for a family .

Everything you need from a short break stay

A wonderful property in a wonderful rural location. The property had everything you needed and the kitchen is well equipped. Lovely outdoor spaces too. We had a great stay with our family and would definitely return.

Lovely short break

We had a very nice stay at Barn End, a family get together. All facilities were good, access clear and straightforward. Everything we needed was provided and plentiful, and everything worked and it was very clean. We would have appreciated a later check out but it got us up and about.

Stylish, peaceful setting

We absolutely loved our stay at Barn End in Paxford! From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The barn conversion is beautifully done—spacious, clean, and full of charm with a perfect mix of traditional stonework and modern comfort. The bedrooms were cosy with luxurious linens, and the kitchen was incredibly well-equipped for cooking meals during our stay. The location is ideal: peaceful and quiet, yet just a short drive to Chipping Campden, Broadway and other lovely Cotswold villages.

Family reunion

Barn End is a lovely place in which to relax and explore the Cotswolds. The location is very peaceful with many walks direct from the door. Well appointed and very comfortable with lovely outdoor spaces (for when iit's not raining!)

Overall, we were delighted with Barn End. We are a family of four with two teenage girls. The three bedroom setup was ideal. The third bedroom was a little on the small side but adequate for our needs. The primary bedroom was spacious and had a large en-suite. We did all use the family bathroom because it was the only one with a proper shower. The en-suite only has a bath with shower attachment (as shown in the marketing pictures, so it didn't come as a surprise). The downstairs is both spacious and well appointed. The living room was a ample with double door access to the lovely garden with seating area and table. We especially liked the spacious kitchen/breakfast room setup, with access both to outside and the glass conservatory. We didn't use the latter simply because it was very hot during our stay but it looked beautiful. Speaking of hot weather, the house ventilated well with doors and windows open, including the skylights in the upstairs bedrooms. Those skylights all have shades that can be closed at night to keep the bedrooms from glaring brightness in the early hours (though it does mean closing the windows). The welcome package was probably the most comprehensive I have seen in a rental! 37 pages of information, things to do etc. Very useful!All in all we had a wonderful stay. The only rather minor downsides were the lack of a second proper shower, and car parking. There really is only space for two vehicles and street parking is difficult.

It is a lovely property in a good location for visiting many tourist attractions. It was clean and well equipped. There was plenty of outside seating and a big garden. Possibly not suitable for people with mobility issues.

Long weekend with friends

A very comfortable home from home like property in a quiet and unspoilt location. Rooms were lovely and beds very comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed. Spacious and homely. A few issues with wasps and flying ants in the property.

A lovely cosy cottage

Our Easter break was truly delightful, thanks to a charming cottage that served as the perfect springboard for family adventures. Nestled within a picturesque village, the cottage offered a warm and inviting atmosphere, ideal for relaxing after our daily explorations. We embarked on numerous family walks directly from our doorstep, discovering the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding countryside. With its rolling hills and landscapes, the area provided endless opportunities for outdoor enjoyment. And when we craved a traditional pub meal, a short, scenic drive led us to welcoming local establishments.

A lovely barn in a beautiful location

A beautiful location - lovely gardens -calm and peaceful. The barn is very comfortable and well equipped and spacious. We thought the living room was rather dark - but a few more lamps would brighten it up. It was a shame that the local pub kitchen had burnt down as it had had good reviews . However, Chipping Campden is only a couple of miles down the road has a good selection of eateries , pubs and little shops and is a beautiful little town .

Nice property

Some areas were very clean. All communication was automated so difficult to assess customer service. We found the dining chairs uncomfortable. Mainly in good decorative order. All essential facilities available and as described.

Beautiful property thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience

Stayed for two nights. Good quiet location with free parking. near villages, so it was convenient. Beautiful and aesthetic. V clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked and equipped. Design and facilities made Cooking and dining a really pleasant experience. Lovely sun-filled conservatory and beautiful garden for strolls and quiet reading. Great location for walks and runs too. Staff of Bolthole were also amazing and responsive. Thank you so much for making our stay such a lovely one

Very nice place in the country

We shared this very cute place with our friends. It was clean and cozy. We wished it had a clothes dryer, but we made due. Normally that would not be a big deal, but we were on a 3 week road trip and were ready to do some laundry. It was also too bad that the pub in the village was closed due to a fire. It would have been nice to walk to a pub. But, it was a beautiful setting and there was designated parking (which is huge for the Cotswolds).

Warmest of welcome

The warmth and quality of the interior was the first thing that struck me about this property. The kitchen was so well equipped .lots of herbs spices etc it was like being at home . We were all in need of a relaxing break and we certainly got that . We barely left the cottage as it was so cosy . If I had to critique anything it would handy to have a small welcome pack of bread, butter and eggs . Our welcome pack consisted strangely of a packet of Oreo’s and a pint of milk . I would come back and stay at barn end in a heart beat .

Great stay at Barn End Paxford

Just had a lovely few days with my sisters at Barn End Paxford. Tucked away in a lovely quiet village, pretty front garden with views to the valley in the distance. Good location to visit plenty of lovely places in the Cotswolds, we only had a short time but managed to visit Coughton Court, Hidcote and Batsford Arboretum. Don’t miss out on the breakfast at vegatable matters farm shop, Ebrington and we had a lovely lunch at The Roebuck Inn at Alcester, fabulous food with very generous portions and super friendly staff, also stopped off in Broadway and would recommend the Swan Inn for food. Just a shame we only had 3 days. The only addition I would make is maybe have a look at the directions in the arrival information to the property as it definitely says turn left when approaching from Blockley and it is actually a right turn into a drive with a Yew tree in the middle.

Fantastic

We had a lovely stay. It was the perfect weekend with friends. The house is beautiful, clean and very well equipped with everything we needed. We will definitely recommend the property to others and I'm sure we'll be back. Just one small suggestion: The "Welcome Guide" is brilliant. Our only suggestion would be that the written instructions to find the house were incorrect and it took us at least 15 minutes to find it. It was also night-time and it was very hard to find the house name. We don't usually use what3words so we didn't know how it worked. It would have been great to have a map with the location marked on the pdf, or maybe a Google Maps pin. Everything was absolutely amazing! Thank you!

A beautiful home and perfect weekend getaway!

Barn End is simply gorgeous! We had a wonderful weekend - the house is set in a small and tranquil Cotswolds village which is easily accessible. Set away from the main road, the property feels safe and secure with a private garden. We were really impressed with how immaculately clean the house was, the quality of the furnishings and the little details that have gone into the house. There are great communal spaces and the kitchen is very well equipped. We would definitely recommend this property - it's not too far from places like Chipping Norton, Moreton in Marsh and Daylesford Farm. Just one recommendation, pre-book taxis ahead of your stay if you need them.
