The creek access was priceless, and we were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable daytime temps (pretty cold some nights and mornings!) and lack of bugs. The hot tub, grill, and easy indoor/ outdoor lifestyle was all really lovely.
There are certainly quirks about the place one should know — the shower has quite limited height, no dishwasher, small kitchen, quite limited lighting for reading in either bedrooms or common room, and bedding/ towels and furniture are pretty worn — but we still found it quite charming and appreciated the unfussy atmosphere given the dusty grounds (dirt not lawn). It was well stocked with essentials like laundry and dish soap, toilet paper and spices, which was great since proper stores are 30 min away.
Overall we found it a bit more remote than anticipated, but were enchanted by the creek.
