I can highly recommend this apartment. It’s very comfortable, with lots of light and has two balconies with great views of the lake. We really enjoyed having dinner there while watching the sunset over the lake. There was enough space for us and our two teenaged sons. Liz is a lovely host who made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks again for everything! We wish we could have stayed longer!

Lovely apartment that is well equipped and spotlessly clean. Excellent communication with the host and lots of helpful prompts throughout the booking process and whilst staying in the apartment. Ideal location that is close to the ski lift and the local shops, bars and restaurants. Really comfortable and highly recommend.

Perfect little Chalet

Fabulous lake view!

The apartment was very clean and well stocked and Elizabeth was very responsive. We especially enjoyed the recommendation for the fromagerie in the village!

Great place

Very welcoming place to stay, near all accommodations for the ski (20m from the télécabine) with a view on the Lac Léman. Very well furnished appartment with a unexcepted DVD collection for adults and children. The owner of the place (Liz) is a very nice person answering very quickly to any kind of demand. We enjoyed very much our stay and will definitely come back next year

Great apartment, situated in a lovely spot.

The apartment is positioned in an excellent spot, right by the new lift and you can ski all the way down to the apartment off the Black run at the bottom, to the North are amazing views of Lake Geneva, a great view to wake up to before hitting the snow. Thollon is a really nice quiet resort that held plenty of snow for us even late on in the season.

Enjoyable holiday

The apartment was quite smaller when compared to the photos , but we had a nice time enjoying the views from the balcony. Nice restaurants nearby. Local people were very friendly. Apartment needs better cleaning however. Liz was very kind and replied always on time . Overall nice stay in Thollon.

I'm really sorry that you thought that the photos were not a good reflection of the apartment as most of our guests remark that the photos and description are accurate. We also usually get really positive reviews about the cleaning, so I am sorry that you think the cleaning needs to be better. This is our first 3 star review since we started to rent the apartment in 2011. I will send you a direct message about this as I would like to know how we can improve. We are pleased however that you enjoyed Thollon and the views.

Well equipped, smart and comfortable - with a great view!

Elizabeth was so helpful when we had to find a new place to stay last minute! The place was easy to access, the apartment was well equipped with everything we needed. The movies and heated towel racks were a nice touch too! Only suggestion is to get a WiFi unit in the apartment as the connection to the local “Free WiFi” was spotty. Thanks to all of her help up front, we had a smooth 2 week stay. It was lovely!

Excellent Apartment

Thollon is a wonderful family friendly resort complimented by a great apartment. We are a family of five which fitted comfortably in this superb apartment with great facilites. The location adjacent to the ski lift was great for us especially with a young family as it took only a moment to get to. The facilities in the apartment are excellent and comfortable,we even cooked a full Christmas dinner in there for 8 people and sat comfortably around the table to eat! Great views,Great village,Great skiing and best of all a GREAT apartment. Mr and Mrs H (England)

Our holiday in Thollon

We traveled to Thollon for about a week and were thrilled by the wonderful view from this apartment. The apartment is perfectly furnished and offers glasses, cups, pots, dishes, a kettle, a coffee machine, a microwave, a washing machine and a dishwasher, as well as board games, DVDs and books. Even a parasol, several tables for the balcony and a sun lounger are available. So there is nothing you need to bring with you. There is a small supermarket nearby (200 meters) where you can buy a lot of things. The only drawbacks are the rather small bathroom/toilet and the mattress on the bed, which was very soft for me. All in all, we had a very nice and quiet holiday, with a fantastic view over Lake Geneva.

Fantastic apartment, highly recommended.

The apartment is very well appointed with a newly fitted kitchen and modern furnishings. We had 8 people staying which was quite cosy but the sofa bed in the lounge was very big and comfortable and there's plenty of storage for all the luggage. The location was ideal, a 30 second walk from the bottom of the gondola, and it was great having a downstairs locker for all the ski gear. There was also a good DVD and games selection which was perfect for the evening! Thollon itself is a great little resort, perfect for beginner skiers and families but also with a few decent longer runs for the more adventurous, and with it being a smaller resort the lift passes were very reasonable. The snow machines made a big difference as they were able to maintain a decent covering the whole time we were there despite a couple of rainy days lower down towards the village. If you are looking for lively nightlife it's probably not the place to go but there are a few nice restaurants and with a mini supermarket just across the road it's very easy to self cater. We certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend Le Schuss and the service from Liz was excellent! Many thanks.

A very pleasant stay!

Liz provided plenty of information before our arrival, so we had no trouble finding the apartment and the keys. Everything is as described on the website, the apartment has a fabulous view on the lake and is close to amenities. It is very functional and perfectly equipped with lots of cooking utensils, a large fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, induction cooktop, oven, and washing machine/dryer. The master bedroom was lovely with a king bed and plenty of storage space, plus its own balcony. Our 3 children shared the other bedroom. It was a bit cramped but they were fine with the bunk beds and sofa bed. Everything was clean and modern. Lots of little touches were added to make us feel welcome, like guide books, board games, a ton of DVDs, and all the essentials not to feel one had to rush straight away to the supermarket because of totally bare cupboards (oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, herbs, tea, etc, in the kitchen, toilet paper, tissues, even soap and traveling shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom). It felt like a home away from home. We were too late (or too early!) in the season for the use of the telecabine to either ski or enjoy mountain hiking but we had pleasant walks along the lake on the promenade of Evian and visited Yvoire (medieval fishing village) which is a must in the area. A big thank you to Liz for all her efforts, we couldn't fault anything! Highly recommended for those who wish to visit the lake Leman and its region.

Excellent location with fantastic facilities.

The apartment is very well located, with excellent views over the lake and towards Switzerland. The facilities and equipment within the apartment are brilliant, with just about everything you could need for a comfortable stay. It is also nice to go to an apartment where the cupboards are not completely emptied before you arrive, as you often get with agency bookings. There was olive oil in the cupboard, sugar in the jar and some washing up liquid (but you should always replace what you use). The area is quiet enough for young families, with plenty to do during the day and low key entertainment of an evening. When we went, the pound was post Brexit vote weak, which meant the restaurants were even more expensive than usual. Going up in the telecabin is a must, for some of the most wonderful views in the world, and the freshest air. We expected it to be cool at the peak, but we were in short sleeves and shorts worrying about sunburn. We enjoyed a day at Indian Adventures, Plage de la Beunaz, which although expensive, was fun. They could do with fixing some of the equipment though. We watched the fireworks in Switzerland from the balcony, on the Swiss National Day. Great to see from the elevated position, and it made up for the hour spent in traffic heading to the beach in St Gingolph due to that particular day's border control. Thollon is lovely. They had a couple of evenings of entertainment on at the local green while we were there. The band sounded quite good, but I was not sure about the Arab costumes being worn in a couple of the songs. However, not speaking the language proficiently meant I could not tell what the lyrics were.. I would wholeheartedly recommend this area and particularly this apartment to anyone. The owners are great, with excellent communication. You can tell they care about the place and it is set up for their family use, not just a business. We hope to return in the near future. Absolutely fantastic place!! We can't thank Liz enough to rent out this place and give others the opportunity to have this wonderful holiday.You feel right at home from the very first minute, and EVERYTHING you could possibly need in a holiday rental is there. The absolute highlight for us was the lake view from the balcony. Stunning from morning to evening. We have absolutely fallen in love with the area and the flat and hope to come back soon.

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön. Wir waren angenehm überrascht über die Sauberkeit des Appartements, über eine schnelle Möglichkeit die Gastgeberin zu kontaktieren, als wir ihre Hilfe angewiesen waren. Und darüber, dass wir zum ersten Mal nicht enttäuscht waren durch die schöneren Fotos als es in Wirklichkeit aussieht! Der echte Ausblick war viel schöner als auf den Fotos zu sehen ist! Vielen Dank an unsere Gastgeberin Elisabeth Tough!!! Und wir haben uns echt gewundert, dass die Ferienwohnung so komplett „aufgefüllt“ war! Wirklich Respekt!

Emplacement idéal et une vue incroyable

L’appartement est idéalement situé au pied des télécabines, au cœur de cette charmante petite station. Tout est à proximité, commerces, location de ski, départ pour les balades ou juste du farniente sur le balcon face au Léman. Très bien équipé, tout est propice à des vacances réussies.

Mais nous avons eu un bon été cette année et nous espérons que les magnifiques paysages ont compensé le manque de soleil. Veuillez noter qu'en été, il fait toujours plus beau à Thollon qu'en Angleterre !
