Let us add our strongest possible recommendation to those that are already here. The contacts were incredibly responsive and helpful, and the landlady and her son were amazing hosts. As some have said, even with all the activities within a short walk, drive, or bus ride, the property is so wonderful that you will find it hard to spend any time away from it. The grounds and pool, in particular, were so amazing, we spent at least a few hours every day relaxing and looking at the view of Ischia/Procida/Naples. It's quite convenient as well; the bus to Sorrento or Massa Lubrense (and other villages on the peninsula) runs frequently and is a fraction of the price of a taxi. Do not miss the Regina Giovanna natural bath and Roman villa ruins!

Excellent villa with amazing accommodation, beautiful surrounds (both indoor and out) and such an enchanting pool overlooking the sea!This visit was the highlight of our visit to southern Italy. Roberta was so welcoming upon arrival, with great local insight and assistance. Without a doubt, this destination is a lifetime memory of goodness! If you are looking for a home base to explore the area you cannot go wrong with this location - public bus travel down the lovely residential hill will take you all over. However, you may not want to leave the comfort of the villa and the gorgeous pool overlooking the sea!Thank you, thank you Roberta! We can only hope to return soon!

Incredible Stay!

This was such an incredible property and stay. We loved every minute of our time at this beautiful oasis! It was just as the pictures show, but better. The pool was so magical, our son loved it. So many hidden parts of the property made it so special. Would reccomend!

Amazing location and views

We had a fantastic experience at this property. The location was perfect for us. There is a bus stop right down the hill from the house that takes you into town. Roberta was an amazing host and her son, Diego, picked us up at the port when we arrived. The property is stunning with amazing views of the sea. The pictures do not do it justice! Highly recommend this location and hosts.

Beautiful Sorrento

The property was truly amazing and the host charming and very helpful. After a hectic day out exploring the wonders of southern Italy we both looked forward to returning to our oasis for a swim and rest relaxing in the beautiful garden. I cannot rate this property highly enough and will definitely be going back there. Great place to use for a base as its so convenient…truly special.

Amazing Sorrento vacation

We stayed in Roberta’s house for a couple of days. The views are amazing, the garden and the pool stunning and everything is decorated nicely and comfortable. It’s very private too away from other touristic places. Roberta is absolutely helpful with anything you need. The only thing is the place is hard to find, and parking is for experts only because it’s on a very steep street. Definitely coming back, best stay ever!!!

Incredible property and wonderful hosts

Simply one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed in. The apartment itself is fully renovated top to bottom. There is air conditioning and wifi which also work great. But the reason I would recommend anyone to stay here is for the property. The view is breathtaking and there is a beautiful infinity pool. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay then look no further. We spent most of our time in Sorrento at the property and would walk into town for an evening stroll/dinner. The hosts are also a pleasure to speak with and are incredibly accommodating. Diego (son) in particular recommended multiple restaurants and called to make reservations for us. If we return to Sorrento we will 100% be staying here again.

Piece of Paradise close to town.

My family and I (spouse, 13yo and 7yo) were lucky enough to stay at this property June 26-29. Communication and help from the host leading up to our stay was fantastic. The property itself was a dream. Indoor area with 2 large beds, great for our family. We spent most of our time outdoors - with many relaxing areas, the pool, and outdoor kitchen, such a nice change from our hotel stays. Although it was very easy to grab a 5-8 min bus into town from the end of the street (tickets sold here too), 2 of the days we cancelled our plans and stayed at the property. There is a small shop with basic groceries as well as gelato at the end of the street. The shop makes great sandwiches. It is an uphill 4 min walk back to the house, so that could be challenging for those with mobility issues. It is right at the parking lot of Bagni Regina Giovanna if that is on your list. I would not hesitate to return to this property or to share it with friends. Wonderful stay!

Amazing Place in Sorrento

Hello Roberta, thank you so much for sharing your beautiful space with us. We really enjoyed our time in Sorrento and your place was perfect for us. It was nice to come back after a busy day and relax by the pool overlooking the sea, watching the kids swim. It made for a terrific compliment to all the sightseeing we were doing. Loved our stay at capo di Sorrento. The house and property are located between Sorrento and Massa Lubrense. The owners live in the main house located above what appears to be two lower level apartments. We stayed directly below the main house which had walk out doors to a lovely patio/backyard. I would note that the property is located up a steep street from the main road between Sorrento and Massa Lubrense. We did not have a car and would walk up and down the hill to get to and from the bus stop which was located directly at the bottom of the street. Walking to Sorrento would be a tall task and the bus is easy to navigate using google maps to identify stops plus its only 2 euros a person. Cabs can be 30-40 euros from Sorrento. Our hostess was so nice and super responsive. The house and the property have an amazing view and beautiful backyard includes a pool, a kitchen and several places to just chill out to enjoy the scenery. Inside our apartment was nicely appointed with two bathrooms and a small kitchenette. Perfect for the two of us.Highly recommend the property and the host/hostess but if you intention is to be in walking distance of Sorrento, then this may not be the place. Car, Bus, Vespa or Cab will be you best bet.

Just wow! Impressive rental unit that is a part of a very nice house in a clean and quiet neighborhood. The check-in process was very easy as we met with the property owners in front to help us in. They are a very courteous and friendly group. We were offered car rides and helped with dining options on our first night in to help us get settled. I couldnt thank them enough for that gesture. The VRBO agent sends a very nice list of "to-do" in the Sorrento area that was helpful. The unit itself was very clean and very organized. The bathrooms were stocked with soaps/lotion and the kitchenette area was well stocked with dishware and cookware along with complementary Nespresso pods. The beds were comfortable for a sound night of sleep. The common outdoor area and view was spectacular, my 7 yr old boy just loved every minute of the property. The pool area was just amazing, its not a heated pool but ended up jumping in to cool off, I believe they close it off in Oct/Nov. The wifi works well, the only concern I had was the TV in the room wasn't connected but we didn't have time to watch as we all had full days and early bed times. I'm hoping to come back to this place in the future and will be highly recommending the location to other future Sorrento travelers. 5 out 5 stay! Grazie!!

This has been our favorite VRBO we have ever stayed at. The property is ran by Roberta and Mario, who live above this converted basement. The room was clean, and there is a pull-out sofa in addition to a large (and comfortable!) bed. There are two large full bathrooms as well, with a waterfall shower and a handheld option as well. The outdoor area is stunning. The patio had a table with seating, an outdoor sofa set, and then plenty of outdoor lounge seats - at least ten seats. There’s an outdoor kitchen with two large kitchen tables - our trip highlight was sitting here, drinking wine, and enjoying the gorgeous scenery. I believe the pool is a saltwater pool, and it was well kept and the temperature was perfect. The property gets the most amazing sunsets, and it was incredible watching them from the pool deck or lounge chairs. There are two dogs on property that are extremely friendly! There is another unit on the property, but it’s far enough away and there’s plenty of shades to make your space feel private. The home is on a steep street. We read reviews before booking and agree that it could be very difficult for people with mobility issues. At the bottom of the street, there is a bus stop that is a quick ride into downtown Sorrento, and a quaint shop selling sandwiches, wine and bus tickets. Roberta and Mario were very communicative, and made our check in/out so easy. We loved staying here and hope to be became soon!

Hillside apartment with great views...with the emphasis on HILL.

My wife & I truly enjoyed our 5 days on Roberta's estate; a unique compound built on what once was a tiered olive grove. The late April weather was nice, but, unfortunately, not warm enough to avail ourselves to the beautiful pool. Our hostess, who lives on the property with her husband, grown son and 2 large dogs, was very gracious and helpful in suggesting local activities and dining options. The views are incredible, but you can look down at the Capri ferry boats best on the lower tiers by the fire pit or pool, where they are not obstructed by the olive trees. Our unit was extremely clean, with a firm comfortable bed, and a well outfitted gally kitchen. (The property description says there is an over, but this is incorrect.) There is a small market down the hill, about 300 yards, that provides a good selection of dry goods ( no fresh meat or dairy), sandwiches and cold drinks. This is also where the local bus stops. Because we were planning to explore the countryside during our stay, we rented a car and drove from the Rome airport. I soon learned that I had not appreciated the steep topography of the area. After leaving Naples, the roads become narrow and serpentine...and eventually steep. The steep road in front of the house is essentially one lane, with very limited parking due to the many gates and doors that can't be blocked. The property description says there is on-site parking, but this is incorrect: the best place I found that was wide enough to not risk being side-swiped by another car was about 300 yards further up the hill. The HILL! This property really has amazing views, and is an incredible place to kick your shoes off & walk barefoot in the grass and drink limoncello in the shade..but getting to and from it can be a challenge. The walk from the bus stop required us to stop to let our 60 year-old hearts and lungs catch up. Other reviews mention walking into town as a "challenging" option, but I would never be a pedestrian on that narrow, curvy road with no sidewalk or even a shoulder. Mixing it up with large tour buses, trucks, cars, bicycles, and scooters, for about 3 km, where you cannot step off the road because of guardrails or walls seemed somewhat suicidal. (Yet, we saw it being done) Bus tickets can be pre-purchased at the small market, or on the bus from the driver for a couple of €s. Our taxi ride back from the marina was about €25. Overall, a beautiful place, to veg out away from crowds.

A truly special place

What a gorgeous property. The photos do not do it justice. Despite the rain that followed us to Sorrento we had an amazing time at this villa in the hills of Sorrento. Roberta was so kind and accommodating to us the entire time we were here, including getting us out of a pickle with transfers to the airport for the next leg of our trip. We loved walking the grounds, saying hi to the pets on the property, and snuggling up in our cosy guest house. The bus is a short walk from the property so it was no problem to get into town. Don't hesitate to book this rental!

Family stay in Sorrento

This property is truly amazing. The reality is even better than the pictures, which I have not experienced at most other rental properties. The pool and other grounds are really amazing, and the pool is bigger than it looks in the pictures. The kitchen in the unit is well appointed, great beds and bathrooms. We had no issues with our entire family, including kids 4 and 7 years old. The hosta were fantastic, and even ordered pizza delivery for us one night. There is a great mini market at the bottom of via pantano, which is less than a 5-minute walk. The villa is up a steep, narrow road, so walking up from the main road was a great calf workout! My only complaint is we had some long days of tours, and I wish we spent more time at the property by the pool.
