We spent a very enjoyable week in this house. It is beautifully furnished, and contains everything you could need. The pool and multiple outdoor seating areas are lovely. In addition there is the games room, a basketball hoop, boules set and table tennis to keep everyone entertained. We enjoyed the rural aspect and peaceful surrounds. We will be returning!

What a fantastic house, we had the most amazing week stay. Everything has been thought of, lots of activities in the cave to keep the kids busy. The pool is amazing especially with the view. We were there when the wild fires were happening so wasn't allowed to do a bbq which was a shame as there was 2 fab bbqs to use. Very peaceful area, but towns about 17mins drive with lots around. Would highly recommend this beautiful house, Ellie was very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed.

Beautiful House

Mike and Ellie have set an exceedingly high bar for their competition with this house. Everything you possibly think off has been provided with wonderful finishing touches to make the house a real home (if only for your holiday). The pool area has been positioned so that the sun is on it all day, beds for everyone, dining table and chairs and settees to relax on. The perfect location for a relaxing holiday for a small family of for two couples. ten out of ten!

We had a wonderful holiday at this lovely house in the tiny hamlet of Masquieres. The weather for the most part was warm and sunny so we took full advantage of the swimming pool and loungers. Everything about this property is first class, from the decor and furnishings to all the incidentals and amenities, we wanted for nothing! During our stay we did venture out and visited local towns including Puy l’eveque, (especially worth calling at the cafe Cailleau) Tournon d’ Agenais, Rocoucor, Penne d’ Agenais (try Cafe d’ Art) and Montague d’ Quercy all worth a visit as they boast nice cafes and shops. Ellie the owner was extremely helpful for which we are very grateful. We’ve been to a number of VRBO properties in France and so far for us this tops the lot!

We had a perfect stay in Le Tournesol. The house and location is just perfect, rural and calm. The swimming pool area is just fantastic to relax. Our kids had a blast in the cave playing pool. We totally loved this place and wil go back next year. Lovely place to spend your vacation and relax. Some tips:- The cleaning up on arrival could be a bit better but acceptable since it’s an old house in the middle of nowhere. - We had bad luck that the pool light was broken so no evening swimming, the owner apologised and gave us a portable pool light which either didn’t work unfortunately. - The poolside patio could use something to cover the roof so you can sit or eat there during the day when it’s hot. - The housemanager on site was very friendly when asking some questions during our stay but the last day she arrived punctional at 10AM and was not so friendly anymore. Looked like she was not pleased we did not left yet but 1min later we where gone, pitty to end the vacation like that. These are just some personal points and are subjective. Overall we had a magnificent stay in this lovely home and all credits to Ellie and Mike for letting others enjoy their lovely vacation house. Absolutely brilliant house.

Thank you for the 10/10 review We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Just to address the cleanliness point raised, you did mention some dust settlement on the pool bottom on your arrival. The pool was cleaned for 6 hours by the pool robot the day before your arrival but as the land surrounding us is so dry at the moment, a small amount of dust does get into the pool and settles along the edges but this quickly dissipates once in use and stirred up. Re check out being punctual by 10am this is due to other guests arriving later that day so there is a lot to do and the manager has other properties to turn around also so they are on a very tight schedule. The pool light was supposed to have been replaced before the start of the season but we were let down. Whilst the remoteness is a positive with the peace and quiet, it can also be difficult to get trades out especially during busy periods so we do apologise. It will be sorted soon. We take your comments on board re the cover over the pool dining area but we thought if any guests wanted shade there is the covered dining terrace outside the kitchen just steps away and also the large parasol over the pool seating area. However we will look into a sail shade for the pool dining table too. Apologies that we couldn’t accommodate your request to stay longer but we had guests arriving on your original departure day. Thanks again for your comments and we look forward to welcoming you back next year. Enjoy the rest of your summer.

A Piece of Paradise

We have just returned from a truly magnificent week at Tournesol. The house is absolutely stunning with exquisite attention to detail, and so many different areas to explore. My husband and I stayed there with our two children (6 and 3 years old). We spent most of our time at the house as it was so relaxing and beautiful. Our days were filled with swimming, sundowners on the balcony and bbqs on the terrace. My daughter was obsessed with the foosball table in the cave, which was great fun, as well as the many other unique games that were provided. We visited the nearby village, Tournon, which was only a 5 minute drive and very beautiful to walk around and have lunch in the square. Montcuq, which is about a 20 minute drive, was also a lovely trip out with the kids for an alfresco lunch. We hope to come again and also visit one of the nearby vineyards. Thank you for a fab holiday!

Wonderful Tournesol 😍

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful property. From the moment we arrived we were blown away by its charm and its tranquil surroundings. The house is absolutely stunning, every detail has been carefully thought out. From the tasteful decor to the high end appliances. One of of highlights was undoubtedly the pool, we spent lots of our time lounging on the sun beds watching the boys playing in the water. Even stargazing some evenings as the sky's were so clear. Most evenings were spent on the veranda, barbecuing, drinking and playing cards or one of the board games that are provided. Such quality family time. Not to mention the odd pool tournament in the cave which was a real hit with the kids. The house is situated close to lots of charming villages and vineyards and Mike and Ellie were so helpful throughout our stay always on hand to give advice and recommendations on places to visit and restaurants to try. We had such a wonderful relaxing family holiday, with 2 teenage boys who (for once) never said that they were bored!! We will definitely return to this beautiful property x

Calme et repos

Nous avons passé de reposantes et agréables vacances dans cette magnifique maison, rénovée et décorée avec soin et beaucoup de goût. Les équipements sont nombreux et de grande qualité, aussi bien à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. Le coin piscine est vraiment fantastique et on peut se prélasser sur de nombreuses terrasses ou balcons. La jolie salle de jeux permet de passer d'agréables moments à jouer au billard ou au babyfoot tout en prenant l'apéro au frais. Le jardin est fleuri et arboré, et nous nous sommes régalés avec les délicieuses prunes. La maison est située au calme, à quelques centaines de mètres du village de Masquières, et il faut compter moins de 10 minutes pour accéder aux premiers petits commerces à Tournon d'Agenais, et environ 30 minutes à 1h00 pour se rendre sur les principaux sites touristiques de la région (Lot, Lot et Garonne et même Dordogne). La voiture est donc essentielle. Enfin, le contact avec les propriétaires était excellent, ils ont su répondre rapidement à nos questions, que ce soit avant ou pendant notre séjour, bien que n'étant pas sur place. En résumé, nous ne pouvons que recommander la location de Mike et Ellie.
