Essence of cotswolds

Beautiful cottage with well appointed features and Cotswold charm. Adults and kids both loved it. As a fan of the Father Brown series the fact that the lovely village of Blockley doubles as Kembleford was an unexpected bonus.

Sage cottage was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. We had a great stay and it was handy having an off street parking space. Would book again.

Wonderful!

Safe Cottage was an idyllic place to stay. Blockley was a fabulous village, and the cottage provided a beautiful, clean and comfortable base for our family. We would definitely stay again.

Wedding Weekend

We enjoyed the most wonderful stay in Sage Cottage, just beautiful place and delightful weather to boot. The house is so well thought out, comfortable, with all appliances and working equipment to make it a home from home. We will come back. I would like to add though, slightly disappointing after a long drive, not to have even a pint of milk or loaf of bread ... would make it so much easier on arrival to be able to at least make a cup of tea. There is a village shop so we were able to dash out and buy things there, but helpful after a trip on M25 to have not had to do this. Would happily pay another £25 for this service if cost was the issue!

Excellent short stay

5 adults and 2 dogs for a 3 night stay. Very comfortable, warm and nice for us to be split over 3 floors with a bathroom for each bedroom. Plenty of space, nice and clean and nice garden for the dogs and humans alike. Village nice and well located. Would recommend

Unbelievable Stay

We had an amazing stay here. It was even more spacious than the pictures appeared to show and we had plenty of room for 4 adults, 3 children and a dog. Would definitely consider returning. We loved it!

Perfect cottage for a weekend with friends

This is a first class accommodation with a great layout, comfortable bedrooms and space enough for 6 adults. We were a group of 4 so had lots of space to relax and enjoy the house. The communication from Bolthole Retreats was excellent and everything was very clear, would book with them again and would highly recommend Sage Cottage.

Beautiful cottage in a lovely village

We enjoyed 2 nights in this very spacious and quiet cottage that is within walking distance of 2 pubs and the cafe. There is plenty of room for 3 couples and your furry friend. The fittings/fixtures/decor are of a high quality and the kitchen is well equipped. It is cozy and warm and we would highly recommend as a perfect base for your Cotswolds touring. Would definitely stay again.

Sage Cottage

We had a very comfortable stay at Sage Cottage, we would highly recommend the cafe/restaurant in the village, excellent food. The cottage is handy to see plenty of the Cotswold villages and is only 40 minutes to the Cotswold Safari Park, well worth a visit. The cottage would benefit from additional plates and mugs so the dishwasher doesn’t have to be put on every day, but otherwise the cottage is excellent.

Christmas stay

This cottage and village was just perfect for Christmas! The cottage was very clean and so cute. We cooked our entire Christina’s dinner there. Everything was available to get it done. They even have two ovens! It is a great size too. We had five adults so with three bedrooms and 3.5 baths it was perfect.

The sweetest cottage

It was better than what we expected. I loved this place so much. Our family made so many precious little memories. It is cozy and quaint, has its quirks but so does every home with character. We loved the location as it's tucked away at the end of the road, the walk to 'town' was a highlight of mine every morning. If you're questioning about staying in Blockley I say book the place and you won't be sorry.

Family stay in the Cotswold

I stayed here for 3 nights with my family of four and the grandparents. We were thrilled with the property - it certainly felt 5 star! Everyone had their own space, it was so much bigger than photos showed, we were pleasantly surprised with the quality of every room and bathroom. We had beautiful weather so even made use of the garden terrace for sunset drinks. We made use of the recommendations, walking to the cafe, kids park and country pub. We would definitely stay here again and will certainly use the bolthole portfolio for our next stay.

Lovely cottage in a quaint village

Blockley is a quaint village nestled in rolling hills with a fabulous cafe to get your coffee fix and walks around the local hills galore. Lovely and clean cottage, perfect for our group of 6 and twin babies. Only negative is the company makes you check in after 4pm and check-out before 10am with no flexibility which we found a bit unreasonable.

We loved our time in this pretty little cottage. Well equipped, very comfortable and great to be able to park outside. Blockley is beautiful, we've visited a number of times. The village cafe is wonderful and sadly the only decent place to eat in the village, but there are so many great eating places a short drive away. We struggled with TV connectivity in the rear room until we moved a WiFi router from the bedroom into there.

Gorgeous cottage in the perfect location

We loved everything about our stay in this cottage. It's a beautiful, quaint home in a charming village with stunningly beautiful countryside surroundings. The cottage has been updated with terrific modern amenities, but maintains its charm. We had a minor issue with water pressure when we arrived and the management company was quick to respond and resolve the issue. If you are looking for the perfect Cotswold vacation rental, we highly recommend this property.

A visit by UK and USA

What an enjoyable village, but most importantly what a dynamic cottage to enjoy our visit. While the cottage entrance stresses its historical significance, however once you enter, you are immediately confronted by up-to-date charm, amenities, and relaxing floor plan to accommodate your stay. An additional gem to the cottage is the parking slot immediately in front of the door. The village is perfectly located to enjoy the exploration of the Cotswold's.
