Iron Pear Tree farm has been family run for three generations. Restoring the unused farm buildings has been a labour of love for us, and we wanted to make sure that we provided unique accommodation whilst maintaining the history of the buildings. The farm is a working one, so guest will be able to relax and enjoy the country setting, as well as get to know our animals. Views out across the farm provide the perfect backdrop for a country get-away whatever the season.
The space
The Horse Box is a beautifully converted horse lorry located in the wild flower meadow of our working farm. Hand crafted inside, The Horse Box boasts a spacious double mezzanine level bedroom, open plan kitchen/living area and separate bathroom. The uniquely rustic and eclectic decor inside has been wonderfully thought out and includes all hand made cabinets and curtains, as well as a log burner. Outside there is a private seating area with BBQ, fire and wood fired bath tub that overlooks the rolling fields and woodland.
All with gorgeous country views out across the farm.
*Please Note* 1 medium/large dog or 2 small dogs are welcome and we are happy for you to walk them across the farm, but The Horse Box does not have a secure garden.
Guest access
Access to and from the surrounding villages and towns could not be easier with our very own bus stop situated just outside the farm entrance. Just a short drive into the village is a lovely pub, and if you are looking for somewhere to eat there is a variety of pubs, restaurants and eateries just a short drive away.
Free onsite parking for up to TWO cars is provided right outside your accommodation.
Other things to note
Please Note: Our outside Tub is wood fired. It will be filled ready for guests arrival but guests will need to start the fire and heat the water themselves. All logs and firelighters needed are provided free of charge for the duration of the stay, and full instructions on how to best use the fire and tub are in our welcome books and laminated sheet by the tub itself.
The tub must be emptied and refilled between uses, and instructions are provided for this also.
Living on site we are also available to assist if needed when we are home and our contact information is also listed in the welcome book.
