For those who enjoy the outdoors, the location is fantastic. On the other side of the River Esk, you'll find the gorgeous Solway Firth and the Solway Coast AONB, which will keep you busy. In addition to the attractive Scottish cities of Dumfries, Lockerbie, and Langholm, you may cross into England and discover the lovely county of Cumbria, which offers excellent locations like Carlisle and Brampton.
