Just a stone’s throw from the gulf in the La Puntata area (simply cross the street and you’re on the beach)—an ideal and renowned spot for windsurfers and kitesurfers— it will also appeal greatly to those who simply enjoy walking or biking, perhaps all the way along the gulf to the picturesque little port of Talamone. Nearby, you can also visit the beautiful villages of Montiano, Magliano, and Capalbio, as well as the Argentario Peninsula with Orbetello and its lagoon, Porto Ercole, and Santo Stefano, or discover the many beautiful beaches in the area: Bengodi Cove, Bagno delle Donne in Talamone, Osa Beach, or venture a little further to the beaches of Feniglia, Macchiatonda, or L’Ultima Spiaggia at Chiarone. Also not to be missed is a visit to the Uccellina Nature Reserve, which stretches from Alberese to Talamone and Lake Burano—Italy’s first WWF nature reserve.
