A favourite local attraction is Castle Howard, with its magnificent house, gardens, and grounds. The beautiful Yorkshire Wolds, made famous by the paintings of David Hockney, are right on the doorstep and offer wonderful opportunities for walking, cycling, and enjoying the countryside.

A public footpath runs alongside the property, leading to nearby Birdsall, while other routes provide spectacular views across the Wolds. Cyclists will appreciate the quiet country lanes and scenic routes suitable for all abilities.

The surrounding fields are rich in wildlife, where guests can enjoy the song of skylarks, watch buzzards soaring overhead, and often spot deer grazing nearby.
