Great vacation!

We are building in El Prado, above Beach Town, so needed a smaller place in Las Catalinas for our 7-day stay. This place was perfect! Just steps to the ocean and Beach Club and very comfortable accommodations. The bed was wonderful, too! I have a Tempurpedic at home, so it is rare that I sleep well when I travel, but I slept like a baby!

Compact flat in a prime location

Amazing location and price. Could use better maintenance but I reported all glitches to vrbo so hopefully they will be corrected. Las Catalinas is extremely expensive so this flat was a great find.

Nice

Beautiful property; majestic surroundings . Only issue; would recommend the house have golf umbrellas available for guests for afternoon rains and beach chairs.

hi there! thanks for staying at our home, we appreciate the feedback. we encourage our guests to bring a compact umbrella and rent chairs from pura vida rentals…as just like our umbrella’s they seem to go missing frequently. :)

Amazing stay at Las Catalinas!

The place is as described on the listing. The beach, which is not crowded and really amazing, is about a 1 minute walk away. It was nice having food and market options on property while having the option to take a short drive to Surfside, Potrero or Flamingo for different options. The only thing to watch out for is that if you are driving and planning to park in the lot, it is included in the cost of the rental. The attendant was trying to charge a daily fee, but once I reached out to the property management team, they were able to resolve the issue promptly.

Beautiful vacation home

It was a great getaway with the family at Las Catalinas. The amenities and resort were amazing, with a private beach and beautiful homes. There are restaurants inside which made it convenient to grab a bite only a few steps away. Unfortunately, it's worth mentioning that there was construction happening all day every day from early in the morning to late in the evening in the entrance which made it very difficult to leave and explore the vicinity due to the traffic, dust and accessibility to the parking lot. This was completely outside of the control of the property manager though. Can't complain about the service and attention received. Would go back again once the roads are hopefully fixed and construction subsides.

Lovely spot.

We enjoyed the condo very much. It was comfortable and had everything we needed. When we had a small glitch at check in, Trev was immediately responsive and everything went very smoothly otherwise. We did need to lower the blinds when we we wanted privacy as the condo windows line up with other condos windows but that was fine. We would happily stay again.

Great location in a cute town

Easy walk to everywhere in town. Very nice boutique, grocery store right near by was very convenient. Walk to the beach in about 3-4 mins. Great place to stay.

Great stay in Las Catalinas

Beautiful community and great apartment. Well stocked. It had everything we needed and grocery store right across the way. We loved Las Catalinas. Ventured out for some shopping, fishing, surfing and sunset sailing. But make sure to take time to enjoy the pool and the beach. So nice they have a beach bag and towels for guests! We hope to be back soon.

Great location in a beautiful Costa Rica beach, small town with all conveniences near by. Excellent for mountain biking and hiking.

Love Las Catalinas

Staying here reminds me of Positano in the Amalfi coast, Italy. It is perfect. The village, the beach. All the hiking trails. We went paddle boarding and snorkeling. We had some fine meals at the Beach Club, Ponciana and at Sentido Norte But about our Condo. We were able to prepare many great meals here as well. The kitchen had everything you will need. Just bring the groceries! The beds are a 8-10. But that is subjective. Everyone’s idea of comfy is different. The owner is fantastic and we had an absolute wonderful time. So much so we stayed an extra 10 days. Thank you Trevelynn and thank you Las Catalinas for the awesome and never to be forgotten memories!

It was great!

We really enjoyed Las Catalinas and this flat. The location is very convenient and the view from the patio up top is beautiful. We would have coffee up there every morning. The staff at the beach club, restaurant and shop were very friendly. The concierge service, Tropical Homes, was very helpful in planning activities. It was a great vacation!

The villa was lovely, but not convenient to activities

My wife and I have 2 teens and a 7 year old. The Villa was beautiful but Las Catalinas is not for us. The Beach Club is not great, and you are far away from snorkeling (Flamingo), good restaurants (Tamarindo), good beach club (Playa Langosta), good surfing (Playa Grande), Etc. For our family, we felt isolated. I got a car which helped, but wish we would have known. Next time we will stay in Playa Langosta and be able to walk Tamarindo for meals and fun. This will save us a ton on money for fishing, snorkeling, etc. If you want to isolate yourself, then this is perfect. But if you have teenagers and like a fun active vacation, I would recommend another spot. If you do stay here, make sure you connect with Roxane at Tropical Beach Properties (Property Manager). She booked us great tours, Finally, I enjoyed working out each day at Surfside CrossFit. About a 30 minute drive, but this box is great. Coaches Nate and Sam(female) are wonderful for the novice (like me) and the expert (not me).

Beautiful place in Guanacaste, one of the best spots on Costa Rica. Flamingo, Potrero, Las Catalinas

The condos are beautifully equipped, the beach town at Las Catalina’s is a Colony-like style, private and very secure. You can have a restful trip and adventures are at hand. The only lowlight for the trip was the staff at the Recepcion the day we came in; the attendant didn’t show good attitude; however the rest of the crew was nice and respectful. Definitely recommend it.
