A stunning two bedroom traditional lodge with open plan lounge and dining area with doors leading to the decking, a double bedroom with French doors to the decking, a twin room, shower room with a sauna and there is a well-equipped kitchen. Outside is a private decked area with a sunken hot tub and seating area. Adjacent parking and electric charging point. The perfect location for a family holiday with your four legged friend.

All the lodges are built to a traditional timber style and nestled around the edge of a small lake. They are well equipped and offer guests a high level of comfort throughout. There is a local pub just a short walk away which serves home cooked food. Each lodge has a private decked area with furniture and a private bubbling hot tub.



The park located just a couple of miles from the centre of york and is easy accessed by either public transport or by well connected cycle route. York offers guests an array of things to do including a vast collection of museums and experiences including the Jorvick centre and the national railway museum. The streets are lined with cafes and restaurants offering superb food and a great atmosphere or perhaps wander down the Shambles or explore York Minister, what ever your looking for York has something for everyone.



For guests wishing to explore the East coast with its beautiful seaside towns and small fishing villages all of these are just a short drives away. A very relaxing weekend, the lodge was lovely and tidy, the surrounding area just topped it off.

A very relaxing weekend, the lodge was lovely and tidy, the surrounding area just topped it off. I would recommend this for couples retreat. The only negative was the shower, it didn’t really have much pep it took 5mins to rinse your armpits. The beds were really comfy but on the small size. I like how you don’t have to book in at a reception, you just have your key codes and away you go straight into the lodge no problems

Peaceful evenings

Beautiful lodge. Clean, including the hot tub and sauna. Very close to local amenities. A little too close to building sites so not super quiet until after 7pm. After 7pm, a beautifully peaceful little area.

We had a fabulous weekend at Holly Tree Lodges.

We had a fabulous weekend at Holly Tree Lodges. They had everything we needed and we loved the hot tub and sauna. There was tea, coffee sugar and 2 pints of milk provided along with tea towels, dish cloths, washing up liquid, cling film,, tin foil and salt and pepper which is all very handy when self catering! The lodge was very clean and the hot tub was hot and ready to use when we arrived around 6pm. We parked up the car on Friday night and didn’t need to use it again until going home on Monday as the bus service (number 6 from St Thomas’s Church) was every 15-20 minutes into York. We ate at the local pub The Derwent Arms which we enjoyed and we tried the Brew York Tap Room too, the staff were all very friendly. We will definitely return.

These holiday lodges are an absolute find.

These holiday lodges are an absolute find. Such a peaceful location which is well looked after and tendered. The lodges are really comfortable and fully equipped with all kitchen needs such as microwave, pans, crockery and cutlery. Also other useful items like an iron, iron board, hairdryer but worth knowing there is no dishwasher or washing machine. I love that the hottubs are at floor level so i found them much easier to get in or out and the fact that they are also adequately secluded. It was lovely just to relax on the balcony and watch the ducks on the pond in the evening. We only used the sauna once which was a nice change. The lodges are in the lovely village of Osbaldwick, a friendly local pub the Derwent Arms (quiz nights Tues & Thurs), breakfast at The Kitchen, chinese takeaway at the Top Wok (closed Mon) and the Brew York HQ cask ales and street food (Thurs-Sun), all highly recommended and within 10-15mins walk. York city centre is approx one hours walk along a pedestian/cycle path, or 3 mins drive to the park and ride at Grimstone Bar. We will definitely be coming back here and my daughter and her boyfriend have already booked based on our recommendation
