Golden Wedding

2 Queens Houses is in a great location. The house is of a high standard and is well equipped. Unfortunately our stay was cut short due to wildfires. Priory to that we had a great time with our family.

Family Holiday

We love Glenmore so we knew the location of this property was excellent. The property is spacious and well equipped and was perfect for our group of 7 adults and 1 toddler. Garden, sauna hot tub were fantastic.

Two Queens Houses

We were relieved when the road opened up on the day our holiday was due to start following the wildfires, phew! This was our 3rd visit to the Two Queens Houses , we've stayed here in the winter for ski season, spring and now summer for hiking & water sports. Had a fabulous holiday, the Two Queens Houses ticks all the boxes for us and we love the hot tub and sauna these are 'bliss!'. The house provides everything one needs, it's so comfortable and spacious, it's a fabulous/stunning location and it accepts dogs . Thank you again for a fabulous holiday.

Ideal holiday home with stunning views

Two Queens Houses is a well equipped and comfortable home for a family holiday. The location, views and facilities are ideal with the bonus of a large hot tub plus a sauna. The house layout with comfortable beds, plenty bathrooms, utility room and open plan kitchen/dining make it the ideal place for a family spending time together. Lots to do in the surrounding area too make it our new No 1 .

Nice but room for improvement

Great location - not cheap, but it’s well appointed. We enjoyed our stay and will book again. I won’t bother with “the good” stuff because that’s already good, so to the improvement required….. House not clean enough. Soap and debris under taps , dust in lots of corners - better cleaner required. Not enough logs left for the stay. Log burner not adjustable and needs looking at as it incinerates only . Broken shelves in fridge. That’s it.

A wonderful place to explore thr Cairngorms

We had a fantastic stay exploring the Cairngorms from this location. The house is perfectly positioned for accessing Aviemore and the Rothiemurchus estate, Loch Morlich, Loch Uaine and the funicular uo to the Ptarmigan top station, with further trips by car up to Loch Ness, Inverness, Balmoral and the wider Cairngorms park. The house itself is well equipped, with a hot tub and sauna that are well maintained. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds. We brought our bikes which could be locked away securely and there are an abundance if options for outdoor pursuits. We will definitely look to come again!

Three Generations Family holiday

A great location. We all had a great time. Tasty steaks from Rothiemurchus shop in Inverdruie ( chips from nearly youth hostel) MTB routes superb, Burma path, Ryvoan pass and numerous forest trails. Sauna and hot tub a bonus after an active day. Would return tomorrow!

Excellent week at Two Queens Houses, Glenmore

A stunning rural location a short distance from Aviemore with a small shop and pub within walking distance. The house was very comfortable and equipped to a high standard. Family that visited all commented on how comfortable the beds were. We had a group of 6 adults and a toddler and found the house was ideal. Great storage for outdoor kit and excellent hot tub and sauna. Ideally located for walking, cycling and most other outdoor activities. Communication from GNL was excellent. We would definitely return.

Excellent Cairngorm holiday home

All three generations really enjoyed staying here. The children especially loved their bedroom and the nook under the stairs. The house is equipped with everything you need. The beds/bedding were very comfortable. The location is excellent, easy walk to Loch Morlich and a short drive to many places. We found there were plentiful attractions and activities in the area and 2 Queens Houses provided the perfect base.

Great place

We had a family get together .. there were 10 of us. The house provided ideal accommodation and everything we needed. The hot tub was a great bonus and was much enjoyed. Would definitely recommend as a base for large families/groups, set within beautiful countryside.

My family and I had the best week. Beautiful lodge, all amenities you need, great location, highly recommend ♥️. Fun packed week and nice to relax at night in the hot tub and sauna. Loads of lovely wildlife. Couldn’t ask for more. Miss it already. Sad to leave

Me and my friends booked this holiday for the nine of us and it accommodated us perfectly, the house was perfectly clean, great location, and lovely neighbours. I would highly recommend this place to anyone interested and I will definitely be back :)

Great Holiday House

We were a family grouping of 7 adults and all found the house very comfortable. It is in a perfect location. The highlights are the kitchen and hot tub. The outside area was the best set up we have seen. Would be very happy to return.

We had very good relaxing time.

The Lodge was lovely, enough space for all of as. Kids had great time in the hot tub. Everything was there what we need it. Unfortunately neighbour on the left wasn't so friendly, he was actually very rude to us but apart of that we loved every minute if it and we would recommend it.

Beautiful home in a great location

Positioned in Glenmore this was an ideal location for my outdoors mad family. The beautiful Loch Morlich is a short walk away and there are numerous wonderful trails on the doorstep. We enjoyed the peaceful setting and the house and garden are luxurious. Having a hot tub and sauna with wonderful views was amazing. The house is spacious, comfortable and well furnished. Only grumble was a patchy phone signal in the house and as the WiFi kept dropping out we were more 'secluded' than we wanted. However, Aviemore is only a 10minute drive away, Rockiemurchus even closer and with lots to see and do in the surrounding area you can come back to switch off and relax in beautiful surroundings.

Excellent weekend stay

Our second time at Two Queens and would definitely visit again. House is spacious and great for a weekend away with friends and loads of amazing walks on your doorstep. The previous time we visited robes were provided for getting to/from the hot tub but these are no longer provided despite being advertised. We understand great north lodges are now going to edit this. For the next time we would appreciate oven gloves, washing up liquid and spare bin bags, especially as everything into one bin. Not major items but easy to fix and make future stays run without a hitch! Thanks and look forward to returning.

Stunning View

A gorgeous house, beautifully extended and refurbished. The beds were very comfortable and the bedrooms bright and spacious. The kitchen diner had a real wow factor with plenty of room around the large table to eat and play board games. The utility room was handy for drying clothes. The kids room was magical and I would have loved to sleep there if I was a child. The bunks and mezzanine level and the nod to Harry Potter made it so inviting. The hot tub was pure luxury with beautiful views. The sauna was great too. The location right opposite Loch Morlich was perfect for walking the dogs. The only criticism I would have is that the couch in the living room is not comfortable - too deep and back too low (everyone in our party agreed) and the gate at the side could be lower as our Houdini dog could get under it! I’d definitely go back. Cracking house for a family holiday.

2 Queens Houses, Aviemore

We had a wonderful week in 2 Queens Houses, Aviemore. Thé location was perfect for walking and cycling. The views from the house are spectacular, watching the weather changes on the Cairngorms was fascinating. The house itself was very comfortable and very well equipped. Having a hot tub and sauna was a huge bonus, the family loved relaxing there after a day out walking. The house is very spacious with plenty of room to be together or having your own space. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone who loves this part of the country. A very minor disappointment was the furniture in the living room, perhaps it could be replaced with something that could be wiped clean as it seemed to attract dust and fluff. All in all we had a very positive experience and would have no hesitation in returning again. Also the next door neighbours were very friendly.

Two queens house girls of location for Loch Morlich

After a very long journey all we wanted was a cup of tea, to our disappointment great north lodges no longer do a starter pack which is a little disappointing when your accommodation is so far from a shop. The next morning I washed my hair expecting there should be at least one hairdryer in the property no there wasn’t one.this issue was never resolved so had to buy one. The property is of a good standard the utility room for drying the clothes is great, the hot tub and sauna was lovely and the view’s stunning.

A fabulous house in a wonderful location

We booked this house for my Mum's 70th birthday weekend. 10 of us stayed, including 2 children and 2 dogs and we all loved the property. The beds were super comfy, the quality of the furniture and furnishings were luxurious and all the rooms were spotless and clean. Everything was provided and in working order with no issues at all. The hot tub and sauna were a huge hit with everyone and we made good use of these facilities each day. I don't think there is anything I would change apart from the elderly folk found the stairs a bit slippy and thin but they should have brought their slippers! The location is perfect with a short walk to Loch Morlich and also into the hills. We all walked up to the Green Lochan and then enjoyed a soak in the tub after. We also walked along to the Pine Martin for some scran which was awesome. All in all, this is an a fabulous house in a superb location and we have only positive feedback. Loved it. Thank you.

A white Christmas with family in a magical spot

We had a lovely Christmas holiday at Two Queens Houses and were very lucky to have snow falling on Christmas Day followed by a gorgeous and sunny Boxing Day. There are a loads of fantastic walks on your door step including the Loch Morlich Circular and the walk to An Lochan Uaine (Green Loch). The house is very comfortable, tastefully renovated, and with magnificent views from the window especially after snow. There are loads of bathrooms which was great. The walls are a bit thin so you can hear everything between rooms but with a family group it didn't matter. The house is very well equipped - probably better than most holiday homes although there were a few things missing that I would have liked - oven gloves, apron, more tea towels (I took my own). I also really missed having a big soup pot. We were 10 people but there was really nothing to make a big soup in. There's a coffee plunger but no coffee machine however you can get coffee at the delightful Rothiemurchus Cafe near Aviemore. We lost power for about 24 hours due to Storm Gerrit but the wood fire kept us warm. However, it was very dark (no candles and the torch had flat batteries) and we foraged in the Christmas leftovers as there was no way of cooking either. Both sets of neighbours were very nice with one of them coming to check on us during the power outage and offering to make a cup of tea since they were equipped for it. That was nice of them.
