With stunning views of Troutbeck valley this cosy and welcoming holiday lodge offers fabulous accommodation for up to 6 guests plus a little one. With families and couples in mind plus the family dog, you will be sure to feel at home and relaxed in this delightful holiday lodge.

Affording breathtaking views from the spacious terrace along with floor to ceiling windows in the living area to make the most of the amazing location and view! A wonderful three bedroom holiday retreat in the heart of the Lake District..

Badgers Rest is accessed by 5 stone steps. All the deck is one level
Travel cot and highchair are available to rent on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided)
Hen and Stag parties are not permitted at this lodge or on the Park
A security deposit is required at this property for all single sex groups under the age of 25 and for a group booking of 3 or more under the age of 21

Nice stay

Thanks for leaving some basic essentials, much appreciated. Nice comfortable stay for the weekend. Quiet location not far from Windermere. Only improvement would be WiFi onsite which the kids would have appreciated.

Really pleasant stay.

Ideal for a family. Lovely views across the valley and great as a base for walking. The site was also good for touring the southern lakes. The lodge was well laid out , warm and cozy. The bedrooms were spacious and clean and had plenty of storage. In better weather the decking area would also be well suited to small children. Would definitely book again.

Great stay at these lovely place

It's a lovely place with a stunning view, complete with all amenities to make your stay comfortable and fun. Location is great reasonably close to a lot of attractions. It's a place where you would be happy to come home to after a busy day on the lakes. I highly recommend this place. The only thing that needs to be fixed is the WiFi as there's no broadband connection and the mobile signal is poor, the only one that works is the O2 network.

Unfortunately the Wi-Fi is the parks Wi-Fi and not direct to the lodge and this does not always prove so reliable. Great lodge and location, let down by cleanliness

Lodge was great and as expected, only downside was lodge cleanliness was not great. Floors noticeably dirty in corners and edges, especially in main bathroom and kitchen equipment put back in cupboards poorly washed etc. Just feels like the lodge needs a deep clean and the regular cleaning regime increased/more attention.

We have spoken with the independent cleaner responsible for Badgers Rest to ensure that the lodge is kept to the standard that you, and we, expect from this privately owned lodge. On a more positive note, thank you for recommending the lodge to others. With fantastic views and accommodation that sleeps up to 6, Badgers Rest is a superb place to stay for a relaxing break in the Lakes. We do hope that we welcome you again soon.

Lovely lodge

We stayed in the lodge for a few days at new year. The lodge was in a perfect location on the site with lovely large windows overlooking the hills. The beds and bedding were clean and comfortable. Our only complaint would be the cleanliness of the lodge. Othe bathrooms weren’t very clean corners of the bathrooms around the toilet etc. a lot of ornaments and nick naks on surfaces dusty. I feel like the cleaners are not doing a thorough job between visitors which is a shame for the owners of the lovely lodge. Everything else about our stay was perfect. If it was cleaner I would definitely recommend the lodge to others
