Amazing vacation at Villa Cicogna

We had an amazing time during our time at the villa. The house was clean and way bigger than what it looks like in the photos. The terrace was huge with lots of seating and the pool was regularly cleaned. In the middle of the week we had the pleasure to meet Columb and Michelle who were very friendly and gave us many recommendations for places to visit. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again!

Truly wonderful stay

What a wonderful find. A fantastic, rustic villa only made better by Michelle and Columb, who are truly wonderful hosts. They are absolute pros at making guests feel welcome and always available for queries. The location is fantastic for Chianti and is easily accessible by car. Well looked after and comfortable.

Great hosts and incredible Villa

My family and I wanted to thank you Columb and Michelle for having us in their Villa, the villa is incredibly spacious, clean and beautiful, we absolutely loved . The communication with them was great, clear and straightforward. Lots of tips and recommendations! We would highly recommend and would love stay in the villa again!

Our third stay and we love this place, our Italian home.

We have had three summers in the villa - this year for two weeks - and we love it and the ambience thar the owners bring to the visitors. Columb and Michelle are great hosts! We like the simplicity of the Villa, its old with real roots, it not being redone inside to something top-modern is something we really, really like - and come back for.

A perfect Tuscan getaway

Our family stayed here for a local wedding and enjoyed the charm of this quiet town and comfortable villa. The hosts were super responsive and welcoming, making sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Our toddler loved running around and swimming every day in the pool. The location is perfect to drive to nearby cities with parking provided. Would love to visit again!

A fantastic stay in old style villa in Tuscany.

I have been to this location yearly for several years now for family holiday and loving it. The villa is old style, if you want luxury this may not be for you, but if you, as me, want the authenticity of a Tuscan villa dating back to the early 20th century, this is for you. The villa have several large and beautiful bedrooms, a simple but well functioning kitchen, a large common room and several toilets. The location is magnificent, with a beautiful view over the Tuscan landscape. The owners are even more magnificent. This year, I went to the villa in early spring for a writing retreat and in was a splendid time.

Fabulous week.

Villa Cicogna gave us a very warm welcome and the rest of the week lived up to every expectation. Tuscany is beautiful, the views from the Villa are stunning, from the quiet, lazy village to the bustle of glorious Florence we enjoyed it all. Michelle and Columb are the perfect hosts, making sure that we were all comfortable and suggesting local must do . Thanks for a lovely relaxing stay. We would highly recommend Villa Cicogna Susan and Michael.

Fabulous villa with breathtaking views

We had a fantastic week here. The villa is spacious and comfortable and full of character with many period features, We particularly liked the upstairs terrace. Outside, the huge terrace with its breathtaking views over the countryside was very much appreciated by all. Our hosts, Michelle and Columb, went above and beyond to help us enjoy our stay - from bringing pastries to our door on our first morning to providing yoga mats! The village is great and the area quiet and picturesque but convenient for restaurants, supermarkets and some of the most iconic Tuscan cities. All in all, a near perfect week and a villa we would all wholeheartedly recommend.

Unforgettable stay at Villa Cicogna

From the moment we arrived at Villa Cicogna, we knew our stay would be unforgettable. The property is stunning, blending authentic Tuscan charm with modern comforts. The villa was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and offered breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of – from the fully equipped kitchen to the inviting outdoor spaces perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. The swimming pool and outdoor spaces were immaculate and created the perfect atmosphere for rest and enjoyment. A special thank you to Michelle for her guidance and help throughout – she truly made our stay seamless and even more memorable. Villa Cicogna is the ideal place for both relaxation and exploring the beauty of Tuscany. We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly special holiday experience.

Short but meaningful stay with Tuscan views and creature comforts

Visiting with family on a packed itinerary, really happy to find a beautiful villa in the Tuscan hills with great views that is still centrally located and (relatively) close to the A1 autostrada for easy access to Firenze, Chianti area, Sienna and to continue our journey southward to Rome. Cicogna off the Valdarno exit provides just that: just a short 15 minute drive up from the valley into the hills, Villa Cicogna is well positioned in a rustic hilltop village with gorgeous views overlooking the valley. Hosts Michelle and Columb were friendly and hospitable, providing a clean, well furnished and comfortable stay on the upper floors of their lovely villa equipped with plenty of rooms. Bathrooms (3) were clean, stocked with basic amenities, and plenty of towels. Rooms were all equipped with fans, beds were comfortable. There is an aboveground pool providing some much needed cooldown in the hot Tuscan summer. Long story short: would totally return here for another stay in the Valdarno area!

Staying in an Italian Palazzo

I booked Villa Cicogna as a base for a group, we were driving around Tuscany visiting villas that we rent with my agency, and Villa Cicogna was ideally placed for us to get around the region, and to drive down into Umbria. I'd spoken to Michelle and Coulomb, the owners, and was struck by their love story and how they'd bought the house, but wasn't prepared for quite how imposing it is. At the end of the small village by the same name, Cicogna, the villa sits on impressive ramparts, once part of the village fortifications, that support an enormous terrace, and contain some magical old wine vats and cellars - ask the owners to show you around! The villa itself is both simple and grandiose in equal measure, with some old-fashioned furniture and fittings and a simple kitchen - but everything works. Large bedrooms with enormous windows look out over the countryside and in the evening fireflies dance among the cypress trees below the terrace.

La quiétude dans une superbe demeure

Nous nous sommes sentis comme des italiens d'avant et d'aujourd'hui dans cette ancienne demeure cossue, une sensation à la fois de domination par l'altitude de la propriété puis d'une certaine richesse de vie, conséquence visible d'une puissante histoire de labeur dans un village toscan d'une quiétude quasi absolue. Merci à Michelle et Columb pour leur réactivité quant aux réponses à toutes nos questions très variées, merci pour leur chaleureux accueil ! Christian and all the team!!!
