Excellent base for exploring Connemara

Lovely house (some sites have it listed as a 3 bed when it is a 4 bed) which was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. You do ideally need a car but it’s a perfect base for exploring Connemara or you could spend a lovely few days just relaxing in/around the house, we had a wonderful time!

What is not to like

A very well equipped home, all you need for a comfortable stay. Great ‘Swallows and Amazons’ garden for children and adults. The beds were of good quality and very comfortable.

Nice cottage

Very nice and cosy cottage well located. A good place to stay to discover Connemara. Everything was perfect.

House was perfect home away from home

Definitely the best property I have stayed in by far, location is perfect so close to Clifden, Will definitely stay here again if available

Nice house, great location, good atmosphere but cleaning routine needs a bit of work.

Great, quiet location but still close to shops and bars in Clifden and a perfect start to explore the area. Cosy house with a great atmosphere, albeit a little dated, makes you feel at home. Son loved the CD player, nice to be able to take the kids back in time. We found the cleanliness however, primarily in the kitchen, to be subpar: the coffee machine hadn't been cleaned at all and we found a lot of plates, glasses, dishes and bowls to be a little dirty. Also a lot of dead flies around the house that were obvious and should have been found while cleaning. Apart from that, after doing some extra cleaning ourselves, we had a very good time here!

Terrific house in an area of outstanding natural beauty

This house is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It has everything you could possible need. It is conducive to relaxation, clever design, comfort and amazing gardens with spectacular views and wildlife. We didn’t want to leave.

Immersed in Nature ... A Home with Every Comfort You Could Wish For

This house truly has everything that is good for the soul. It is set in beautiful natural surroundings, offering a peaceful retreat where you can fully unwind. The entire property is exceptionally well maintained and wonderfully cozy. The beds are an absolute dream! Incredibly comfortable and perfect for restful sleep. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need, making it easy to feel at home right away. The view into the garden is simply breathtaking and adds to the calm, relaxing atmosphere of the place. We unfortunately needed emergency medical services on one day of our stay, and even in this situation we received immediate, kind, and uncomplicated help. A special thank you to Lisa for her support. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable escape into nature.

Home from home

This was our 2nd stay here and once again it didn't disappoint. I love the location just outside Clifden. The house is so well equipped. Lovely hot nice pressurised showers. Such a cosy house between the heating and wood burning stove. Beds extremely comfortable. The children love the space outside for exploring and kicking a ball. We will for sure be back again. It has become my go to for when I visit Clifden. Great communication with host and booking agent.

Pluses outweighed the minuses

Excellent base for visiting Connemara. We particularly liked the space and brightness of the house, the comfort of the beds, the showers, the information provided about the Clifden area, and the parking arrangements. I will e-mail Love Connemara Cottages separately about the defects: not enough wine glasses when we arrived, one toilet was blocked, one shower didn't drain properly, a difficult front door lock, and the rather unkempt garden.

Great location but water in bathrooms was a problem

This is a lovely property in a great location but our stay was ruined by a lack of water in the bathrooms. Lots of our time was wasted dealing with this problem that wasn't resolved during our stay. At times there was no water to wash hands in the bathroom and the water pressure was insufficient upstairs to shower. The person in the office was extremely helpful but unfortunately was unable to resolve the problem during our stay despite the plumber coming out to the property. We were offered a voucher to compensate for our poor experience but it didn't even cover one night's stay so was of no use. Very poor experience.

Dear Fionnuala, Thank you for your review and feedback on your 4 night stay in Cottage 435 Clifden. I would like to again sincerely apologise for the water issues you experienced during your stay. I did have a plumber organised to go to the property on a few separate occasions and he had told me the issue was resolved on every occasion which unfortunately was not the case. We have since had a different plumber to the property who confirmed that the pump and filters were all blocked up with sediment and that the pressure is up now throughout the house. He explained there was hardly any pressure before as the Pump was starved of water. We have since checked and we are now assured the issue has been resolved. We pride ourselves on good customer care and quality properties and I am sorry that on this occassion this was not the case. We hope this will not deter you or other guests from booking this cottage in the future.

We really enjoyed our week at Robin Hill & would love to return there in the near future.

The house was very cosy with very comfortable beds & sofas. We really appreciated the spacious garden & the choices of outside seating areas, as were blessed with sunny weather. Kitchen is very well equipped for self catering too. The nearness to Clifden is helpful, with all amenities. We had a small issue during our stay but Love Connemara Cottages dealt with it immediately & efficiently. Would recommend this house without hesitation.

Très bonne semaine dans ce cottage

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine dans ce cottage situé à quelques km de Clifden. Nous avons eu un problème avec le four qui ne fonctionnait pas. Après avoir contacté James qui a été très réactif, dès le lendemain un four neuf était installé . Nous sommes très satisfaits de cette location gérée par Love Connemara Cottages
