So very sad that these guests have resorted to leaving such an inaccurate review. All the condos at Inverness are the same size-around 975 sq. ft and most are reserved by 6-8 adults. Mine clearly states that it only sleeps 4 adults because it has two bedrooms and no sleeper sofa. In addition, there are no blankets provided during the 100 degree heat in the summer season but only in the fall and winter, like most hotels, etc. I had absolutely no knowledge that these guests had not been following the rules by wearing their provided wristbands until she called me after they were being escorted off the property by the NB police on their last day of their reservation. After they left, we arrived at the property and spoke with the security guard and several other people who confirmed that these guests had been asked repeatedly each day that they were there by the security guard to wear the required wristbands and each time they had made excuses or refused. On the afternoon that they were asked several times to wear them again, the security guard told them politely that he would have to call the police to have them escorted off the property if they didn’t comply. At this time, the guests husband stood up, folded his arms across his chest and said, “I dare you to do that!” It was only then, with the approval of several board members that had been witnessing their rudeness and refusal to follow the house rules, that the police were called and they were escorted off the property. They only put on their wristbands when they saw the policemen arriving. In addition, they left a huge trash can full of beer cans along with other trash in the kitchen which spilled beer all over the floor, instead of taking it to the dumpster as required in the house rules. After we arrived, we found that the guest had left her belongings in a drawer in the bedroom and some other items in the pantry. I immediately called her and asked her if she wanted us to meet them somewhere to return them to her. We did meet them and returned these items. Don’t understand why they stated in the review that I was rude? Several days later I received a message from VRBO saying that the guest had disputed the entire reservation cost, including cleaning fees(over $1000) and they had removed the deposit from my checking account. Luckily I easily proved that they indeed refused to adhere to the rules which are plainly stated in my listing, the check in instructions and posted in several prominent places on property and VRBO did the right thing in reversing their dispute and re deposited the funds in my account. . In regards to the cabinet door falling off the minute they opened it, my cleaning crew had just been there and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it when they finished cleaning. It is astonishing that these guests refuse to admit any wrongdoing. Had they just put on their wristbands like everyone else, there wouldn’t have been any issues. I have been very fortunate to have mostly 5 star reviews since 2017, except for one 1 star review left by a guest a couple of years ago by mistake but said that they really enjoyed their stay and didn’t know how to fix the star rating once submitted. 🥰
