A lovely stay for our first family visit to the IoW

We loved the apartment, it was plushly furnished and the most well-equipped we have ever experienced in terms of kitchenware etc. It's a beautiful old building away from the hustle & bustle of Shanklin but just a short walk from the old town / restaurants / shops / beach. Also right next to a playground and duck pond that was perfect for our 2yo. And bunnies and red squirrels to watch on the lawn! Thank you for a lovely stay. Not a requirement by any means but we have stayed in places where they have had a small box of toys for young children tucked away somewhere which were much appreciated when you don't have a lot of room to bring your own. Just a suggestion for a nice / welcome addition!

Lovely Stay at Shanklin Manor

Lovely property on a lovely island. Spacious. Well equipped with everything you might need for a stay. Well situated for Shanklin, Sandown and Ventnor. Highly recommended!! The late availability of check-in information spoiled the start of the holiday. Had I not called the office on the Thursday for information, I would have had to leave home on the Saturday without the knowledge that I could actually get into the property. This is just plain unacceptable. While I understand security concerns The Island Holiday Company must find a way to send customers check-in information at least a couple of days before the start of the holiday. Other holiday property providers seem to manage this!!

Fantastic stay

Really nice place. Spacious, quiet, relaxing, beautiful surroundings, clean, everything you need, nice big kitchen. Super cozy and not least the cutest rabbits everywhere outside

Our happy place !

Our second visit to 6 Shanklin Manor and like before we found it spotless with everything we could possibly need for our stay. Peaceful and comfortable - a home from home. Not a thing !

the service we received from booking to arranging the ferry to arrival instructions and finding the place was excellent and the quality of the accommodation were better than we have experienced in many places we have visited the quality and finish of the property was of a very high quality in fact outstanding thank you

Comfortable apartment in a good location

The apartment was well-equipped and comfortable. We were cold in the mornings. There was no option for turning the heating on earlier. As we get up early we found that a bit uncomfortable.

Beautiful property in a fantastic location

We had a wonderful stay at Shanklin Manor and were incredibly lucky with the weather which meant we could go to the beach every day! The property was perfect for us as a family with a 16 year old daughter who had her own spacious bedroom and bathroom and we had an equally spaced bedroom and ensuite. The property was cool enough at night for us to be able to sleep comfortably and the kitchen and lounge area were very well equipped for all our needs. The bonus was the bunnies outside which were so cute and the walk to the beach and Shanklin Chine is very doable.

Lovely accommodation in an excellent location

The apartment was clean and spacious and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. It's also really nicely furnished and decorated, and in a great location. Loved the fact it was very peaceful there too, with lovely views over the hills. It was also easy to reach the Old Village with its restaurants and pubs etc. We certainly plan to return. The heating came on at 7:30 am every day - as we're early risers, it would have been better if it had come on slightly earlier

A great holiday at 6 Shanklin Manor

We have spent 3 holidays at No. 6 Shanklin Manor and we have always found that the apartment is spotlessly appointed - clean, and with everything you could possibly need for a break away from home. (The housekeeping/cleaning staff are superb) Everything is of the highest quality which makes for a very comfortable, enjoyable stay. Situated within walking distance of the village, beach, Chine and Rylstone Gardens it is convenient but also peaceful. Truly our happily place that we will continue to visit each year. Nothing at the property itself. Our only disappointment this year was to find scaffolding erected on the whole building which made it impossible to fully open some windows. A must in this hot weather. A warning would have been a good idea that work had been carried out. On our first visit there was wine and milk in the fridge, the second visit, wine only and this year neither. As the rental for this property is at the top end a little welcome extra would be appreciated. Having said that it wouldn’t deter us from booking next year as long as the rental has not risen.
