Gorgeous stormy stay

We recently stayed at heather mere cottage and just wow. What a lovely house, perfect location to walk in and out of the town centre. The house was perfectly clean on arrival, little amenities provided which were a lovely touch. There were plenty of things to do in the house, even with the weather being awful, lots of games and blankets to keep us cosy. We will definitely return next year when hopefully we pick a weekend without a storm! Highly recommended x

Lovely cottage in a great location

Lovely cottage and beautifully decorated with everything you need. Great location with easy access to shops, restaurants and the lake. The team at Tarn and Fell were also extremely helpful with great customer service. Would definitely recommend property and company.

Birthday Weekend Break

Lovely clean comfortable cottage had everything you need. It is in a great location for getting to Bowness or Windermere. The only issue we had was the parking but we managed to park up Biskey Howe Road so not too far away.

Lovely stay

The cottage is in a great spot in easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Beautifully decorated inside with everything you could need, we will definitely look at revisiting.

Stunning modern and clean property in the heart of the Lake District. The property had everything you needed and more, with a fantastic attention to detail, from the visual cottage guide book and the unique cottage labels on toiletries, tea & coffee, etc. A real gem of a place to stay. Also communication with the host was first class.

Excellent cottage, perfect family holiday!

We had a wonderful stay with Tarn & Fell Escapes. Nothing was too much trouble, offering highchairs/cots for our children. The cottage was beautiful, every detail thought of and very clean! We will definitely book with Tarn and Fell Escapes again! Thank you!

Absolutely beautiful

From the moment i booked this you could not fault the service from tarn and fell They were brilliant. They called me on day of check in to say the cottage was ready early and even helped us out with additional car parking as we had 2 cars. The cottage was absolutely incredible! We go away once a month and this was honestly the nicest accomodation iv ever stayed in! Everything in the cottage was done to such a high standard. We will 100% be booking with this company again you couldn’t fault anything and all there properties are stunning thankyou for such a wonderful trip

Our amazing stay

We had such a wonderful stay here and honestly couldn’t have asked for more. The property itself is amazing—modern, beautifully designed, and finished to a really high standard. It felt both stylish and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The hosts went above and beyond with thoughtful touches that made a big difference, like milk and chocolate in the fridge, plus sweets, coffee, and tea all provided. They even included books for our little one, which was such a lovely gesture. One of the highlights for us was the TV in the bath—our toddler absolutely loved it! It made bath time so much fun and really added to the experience. We also really appreciated that it’s dog-friendly, complete with a welcome pack for our pup, which made us feel so welcome as a family. The location is perfect too—just a short 5-minute walk to the lake and surrounded by plenty of great restaurants. We would 100% stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and thoughtful staycation.

Amazing

We booked this for our staff team at Pebble Healthcare to thank them for their amazing work and the feedback from them was phenomenal. The property itself was beautiful and ever little detail had been thought of. The whole place was spotlessly gleaming. The service we received excelled anything we could have hoped for. The location itself is excellent too. We could not find a single thing to improve on. Thank you so much Tarn and Fell, you will forever be our go to.

Wonderful cottage in the perfect location.

Heather Mere cottage is an absolute gem. It felt like being in a high end hotel with the addition of having your own home within it. Ross and the team were very helpful and approachable. The provision of milk, tea, coffee etc made life very easy on arrival and there were little treats which were a lovely surprise, as was the provision of dog bowls etc for our little pooch. The toiletries in the bathroom were excellent. It is a short 5 minute walk down into Bowness and its water front which is stunning and provides lots of great eateries for anything from breakfast to dinner. You should try the local ice cream! All in all we had a fabulous stay and would certainly book through Tarn and Fell again.
