We felt really lucky to find and stay at this wonderful cottage. Idyllic setting. We had dinner reservations on Saturday night but chose to cancel so we could eat dinner on the doc and enjoy the beautiful quiet and beautiful sunset! The cottage is wonderful - clean, well appointed, and incredible views. The host was responsive and helpful. We will be back! In fact I already inquired about future dates!

Cozy Cottage

The cottage was really cute. The views of the water were wonderful. Lots of Osprey doing their fishing and tending the nest right outside the cottage. Very clean and well maintained property. Very peaceful place to unwind but close to things to do and to things you need.

Lovely long weekend

Cottage was a perfect couple's getaway. Immaculately clean, snug, great views, and above all, peace and quiet. The ospreys on the property were so entertaining! Janelle was a great host, and we had a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived, and a fridge full of water. I look forward to going back someday!

Quiet cottage on the water

This is an ideal location for a quiet get away. The cottage was perfect for two people. Everything we needed was provided by Greg and Janelle; kayaks, chairs, ducks, wine... A very nicely decorated cottage with incredible views of the Choptank River. Enjoyed kayaking along the river, sitting on the pier and along the river shore, and sunrise greeting us in the loft. We will definitely come back.

PERFECT!!

The scenery, location, accommodations & company were absolutely perfect. (Not sure Janelle can control that last factor. 😉) The house is simply decorated and lovely. Views —spectacular views, mind you — in every direction. We saw bald eagles, loons, herons and fish. What a great opportunity to unwind, relax and enjoy nature. We’ll be back. Count on it!

Waterfront Escape

I booked this property as a extra long weekend trip for my Husband's birthday. I was looking for a place on the water and with access to fishing spots. The house itself has a dock we fished off of, and it’s close to other local fishing spots. The views from the house are great, there was even an Osprey family nesting right by the dock. It’s a perfect getway for 2 people. The house was clean and well stocked. Waking up with the sunrise over the water was amazing. There are a lot of windows, so if you are sensitive to light when sleeping, bring a sleep mask. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay again.

Perfect

This cottage was the absolute perfect getaway for us. The host was so kind, accommodating and very responsive. The house is immaculate. Views are relaxing and beautiful. We were happy, comfortable, relaxed. What more can you ask for? We also loved the history of the house! We arrived by boat and while our weather wasn’t perfect, we still were able to explore the surrounding waterways and visit suicide bridge restaurant. We both felt like this cottage was exactly what we hoped for and needed for a quick get away. We will hope to return as soon as we can. Thank you, Janelle and Greg!

Charming cottage in beautiful waterfront setting

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage very much. The cottage is cute and cozy and the views from every window are amazing. The Choptank River is so peaceful - it was perfect for kayaking We brought our own kayaks and it was so easy to launch them from the beach on the property. It was the best kayaking we have ever done. - water clean and calm, tree-lined shoreline. We enjoyed the fire pit and use of the grill too. It was relaxing sitting on both piers and watch the fish jump out of the water and the fishing boats pass by. The owner couldn't have been more accommodating and welcoming. She was always quick to respond to questions to make our stay enjoyable. We have recommended this property to friends and family, and plan to return ourselves. A great getaway for a couple :)

So peaceful and tranquil

We stayed for one night as a quick getaway to celebrate our anniversary. The cottage is brand new, very clean, and the owners are more than accommodating. The property is a gem, tucked away on a private lane just steps off the water. The whole house is flooded with natural light and when you wake in the morning, you are facing the beautiful waterway. There’s a private dock to sit enjoy your coffee, a fire pit for roasting s’mores (they even provide firewood and toasting sticks!), and kayaks. The owner even brought us over a lighter a moments notice when the one we had wouldn’t work. She left a lovely bottle of wine for us to celebrate our anniversary. If you are looking for privacy and beautiful water views, this is the place for you!

I was here for the Ironman Maryland race. My wife and I stayed here and it was perfect. The place is beautiful, and the house design is perfect. Location from race is 15/20 mins.

We loved our stay at the cottage! The property is beautiful and very peaceful.Inside or outside, this place has what you need for a nice relaxing visit! Inside, it’s beautifully rebuilt with big windows to watch the boats go by and enjoy the view any time of day!And outside, the docks are great for sunsets or sunrises, or just relaxing! Kayaks, fire pit, and more to keep you busy!We brought our boat and were able to launch from a ramp right near the cottage and tie it up to the pier in front of the cottage for our stay!Janelle is a great host and very communicative. Her family was even ready to help us when we almost had an issue with our boat!If you’re looking for a great getaway spot right on the water…this cottage is it!!We had a great weekend, and hope to return in the future!!

Quiet, scenic getaway

Beautiful cottage on the water! Host was very friendly and provided delicious “welcome” cookies and bottled water. The property is small, but with the amazing picture windows it feels bigger…it was exactly what I wanted.This was my second stay, and I was glad for the quiet break. Thanks again!

Adorable little A frame

We love this little a frame home right on the water. The owners are helpful and communication is great. The location can not be more perfect as it is 5 minutes from family. Only thing we would like to see is updated living room furniture. Not one piece in this space is comfy and inviting.

The cottage is an absolute jewel. Right on the water, easy to paddleboard or kayak right off the bank. Private dock. The view is amazing and wildlife is everywhere. The cottage is very cute and well stocked with essentials. The host is a great woman who is attentive and helpful. We love this place

40th wedding vow renewal stay

Gorgeous views and very quiet area. It rained our last morning and even that was peaceful watching the storm while we drank our coffee.

Wonderful weekend

My wife and i went up for my birthday weekend. This was our 1st experience using vrbo or any if those sites. We were wecolmed with a bottle of wine from the owners. The cottage is beautiful, the area amazing! The restaurants that were recommended were delicious..A+!! A great spot for couples to be alone and enjoy the time there. Would definitely stay again!
