The Shallows - a stunning property

The house, grounds and facilities were much enjoyed by guests of all ages. The house was immaculate, comfortable and very well provisioned. Prompt help from the housekeeper regarding arrival arrangements was much appreciated as were the thoughtful touches for our stay. All contributed to the property providing the perfect location for a family celebration.

Wonderful venue for a family holiday.

Exquisite architecture, floor to ceiling windows allowing superb views of garden and seashore. Furnished with panache. Extremely well appointed kitchen/ pantry/cookers and microwave. Comfortable bedrooms and Exquisite bathrooms.

Amazing holiday home

I can’t say enough positives about this home, it’s incredible. The house itself is spectacular but equally the care and attention we received from Allison was superb. We will definitely be booking again!

A great stay away from home

Huge living spaces and lots of different social spaces to choose from. The pool was great and a good temperature. A huge garden and lots of extra spaces to explore outside too. Everything was spotless. The kitchen was well laid out and no expense spared in terms of crockery / cookware / glassware. Especially liked the cocktail space! A great stay away and would book again.

Perfect week

The Shallows lives up to its fantastic photographs. The house is stunning, with high ceilings and enough space for big families. The grounds and views over towards the marina are a beautiful finishing touch. Alison and Pete were both helpful and attentive. We stayed for a week, with both sets of grandparents and it was the most perfect sanctuary of fun and calm!

An amazing house.

We stayed here for a family celebration (10 Adults), and we were blown away by the house, it was amazing. It looked great in the pictures, and it certainly did not disappoint when we arrived. The house is so spacious and perfect for a large family gathering, the location is perfect, tucked away at the end of a lane, it's very private, and the views were fantastic. We stayed in October when the weather wasn't great, so we didn't get to use the pool, I'd love to come back in the summer to enjoy all of the outside space.

Fantastic Property- so spacious and bright

I hosted my family to celebrate my 50th birthday and we could not be more delighted with the property. The photos online do not do it justice. It is so much more spacious! The rooms are all large and bathrooms were spotless and well appointed. The sun shone for us so we were able to make use of the garden, hot tub and sauna! So peaceful.

The best house that we have rented so far

Renting a large house with sea views for our family of three generations and two dogs is an annual, long weekend, event. There are 9 of us. The Shallows is by far the best yet. Grandchildren are two 20 year old girls and two 18 year old boys. The Shallows is a beautiful palatial home, well equipped, spacious beyond our expectations, beautiful spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds and luxurious linen. The pool table, heated swimming pool, hot tub, and sauna, were all well used. The hot tub is in a fantastic position next to the sea with unobstructed views. Several lounge areas with their own TV’s enabled groups with different interests to separate. Apart from going out for Sunday lunch to The Ship (well recommended) and walking the dogs along the beach, we stayed in and around the house for the whole weekend.

Incredible home

We had the most amazing 4 nights at the Shallows. The house is absolutely perfect, beautifully furnished with enormous rooms and everything you could need for a large group. There is a beautiful garden with a fantastic swimming pool and the tidal water comes up to the end of the garden twice a day. We swam each day at high tide and used the jacuzzi and sauna to warm back up. We spent some time in Chichester and Bosham as well as walking along the beach at Hayling island. We also visited ‘Sam’s Sunflowers’ which is a short walk away and really beautiful. You get 3 sunflowers each included in the entry price so the house was full of them! You really don’t need to leave the house much so we didn’t plan many activities. We took two dogs and the house was really well set up for them with their own room including a shower to get the mud off. Allison was fantastic and really responsive when we had any questions - even lending us her own coffee machine! We would definitely like to return in the future.

We simply don’t have words ‘enough’!

Booked as a big family celebration, and it did not disappoint! The pictures cannot do it justice! As an extended family ranging in age between 20months and 83yrs, it catered for everyone! From swimming in the pool to paddle boarding in the sea. Quietly reading in the library to playing pool. Cooking in the vastly equipped kitchen or barbecuing in the garden. The list could go on…and on! It simply had it all! Our only niggle…which is a slight niggle in a week of pure bliss! Was that the pool was a bit cold for our toddler (we’d suggest increasing the temperature by a few degrees if you know babies are staying), and the house didn’t have a highchair (or cot). Which, as ‘families’ are encouraged, rather than ‘parties’, we were a little perplexed by. Though we knew this, and just brought our own. Fabulous communication from the house manager, perfectly discrete daily pool maintenance and a spotlessly clean, luxurious weeks stay…we simply don’t have words ‘enough’, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
