The nightly rate is for the apartment, which features one (1) double bedroom with an attached private bathroom. Depending on the number of guests or their specific needs, the second double bedroom with a bathroom is available for an additional fee. The apartment is 75 square meters and has been completely renovated; it consists of a living room with a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms feature private bathrooms with spacious showers and balconies furnished with chairs and small tables. Major historical attractions are within walking distance: the historic Ballarò Market is a 5-minute walk away, where you can enjoy traditional dishes and Palermo street food; the Central Station is 10 minutes away; the Norman Palace is 5 minutes away; the Cathedral is 10 minutes away; and from there, continue along Corso Vittorio Emanuele to reach Palermo’s nightlife.

Access is through a main entrance on the first floor; after climbing two flights of stairs, you’ll find a welcoming foyer featuring a faithful reproduction of an oil-on-canvas painting by Giovanni Boldini, signed and dated 1924. today the original is located in Palermo at Palazzo Mazzarino, owned by the Marchesi Berlingeri family. This painting depicts the refined elegance and great charm of Donna Franca Florio Jacona. She was an Italian noblewoman, a descendant of a Sicilian aristocratic family, and is credited with shaping the history of Palermo. Family anecdotes: the very long pearl necklace she wears in Boldini’s famous painting—365 pearls, one for each day of the year—and, as the cynics say, one for every tear she shed over her husband Ignazio Florio’s constant infidelities. She certainly had no shortage of jewelry, some of it so precious as to put a queen to shame. She was called “The One and Only” by the poet Gabriele D’Annunzio. Hence the name “JACONA 365,” given in her honor. But let’s continue: the entryway leads to the living room with an adjacent dining area and a comfortable kitchen equipped with all modern conveniences. There are two double bedrooms, named after Donna Franca Florio’s daughters, Giulia and Igiea, each with a private bathroom. The two rooms are very bright and feature balconies overlooking Via Porta di Castro.

Upon request, a travel crib equipped with a mattress and all necessary items for children up to 4 years old can be provided for a fee. If young children sleep in the same bed as their parents, no additional charge will apply. You may provide an advance list of everything you may need for your children during your stay with us (baby food, diapers, etc.), and we will be happy to cover the costs in advance; guests will settle these expenses upon arrival at the apartment.
