It was our second time at the Penthouse, spectacular views feels like home from home and Denis is a wonderful host - you could not get a better place to stay in Melliha. We will be back again!

Amazing penthouse- better than in the pictures! Two big bedrooms with very comfy beds, nice kitchen and living room. We were two couples and enjoyed our stay very much! There is a heating as well as air condition- so you can adjust the temperature as you like. The whirlpool and swimming pool is the icing on the cake! The pool is big enough to swim some laps and the view is amazing! You can see the sea, ships passing by and the whole coast line. Restaurants and shops are a 3 minute walk downtown. If you have a car you can reach the sandy beach with its fish restaurants in 5 minutes or 25 minutes walk. The host is available 24/7 in case of emergency and our questions were answered immediately even on Sundays! Thank you Barbara for your support and the very nice communication and the opportunity to stay at this true gem!!!

Expectations fully met 😊

We had a wonderful short break in Malta with our two adult sons and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the penthouse. Our expectations were fully met. The flat was clean and everything we needed was there. The terrace is simply perfect, the view breathtaking, and there was nothing better than enjoying the jacuzzi after a lovely day out. Melliena also proved to be a wonderful base. We found the north of the island the most beautiful part for our taste and were glad we hadn’t ended up in the Valletta/Sliema area. One comment, however, regarding the flat. The limited number of sockets was a bit puzzling. They were particularly lacking by the washbasins – but perhaps there are specific regulations here. In the hallway, there is a socket near the mirror that can be used for blow-drying your hair.

This is a beautiful property and we genuinely enjoyed our stay. The views overlooking the city are absolutely stunning, and the location is fantastic—within walking distance of several excellent restaurants, making it easy to enjoy the local food and atmosphere without needing a car.The apartment itself is spacious, giving everyone plenty of room to relax. The pool was one of our favorite features and was the perfect place to cool off after spending the day exploring Malta in the summer heat. We also appreciated the thoughtful welcome touches from the owners, especially the complimentary bottle of wine and the excellent coffee that was provided.That said, for a property at this price point, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. The beds were simply basic mattresses and weren’t particularly comfortable, and the bedding felt more budget than luxury. Upgrading the mattresses and higher-quality linens would make a noticeable difference to the overall experience.The other issue was the air conditioning. During the hot Maltese summer, it struggled to keep the bedrooms comfortably cool, especially overnight. Stronger or more efficient A/C would significantly improve guest comfort.Overall, this is a beautiful property in a great location with incredible views, a wonderful pool, and thoughtful hosts. With more comfortable beds and improved air conditioning, it would easily deserve a five-star rating.
