Ideal for family get-together

The Old Laundry was an ideal place to celebrate a family birthday. It is spacious and in beautiful surroundings. The bedrooms are lovely and great that each one has its own bathroom. We enjoyed dining in and also walking into Winchcombe for an evening meal. The hot tub was a popular place to relax after completing one of the circular walks. Visiting Sudeley Castle was also one of the highlights and it was great to have free entry.

Gorgeous place

We had an absolutely lovely time at The Old Laundry celebrating a big birthday. We had plenty of space for all of us, and we never felt like we were on top of each other. The entry to the castle was such a nice touch and was thoroughly enjoyed by the group. There were some loose flooring in the kitchen, which I’m sure will be fixed. But we had an amazing time. Thank you.

Fantastic spot for a group of 3 families to relax and enjoy the amazing surroundings. Excellent amenities, short walk to the village, and the perfect spot to relax. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Early Christmas Catch Up with Friends

Perfect accommodation in a gorgeous location. The views from the house are stunning. House is so well appointed, beautifully warm and well maintained. We loved our time at the Old Laundry and would stay again.

The Old Laundry is a fantastic house, with large, elegant rooms and is well furnished. There was plenty of room and circulation space and a lovely garden and hot tub. As stated in the details, there is an easy walk to Winchcombe. The bedding and towels were of great quality and there were extra towels for the hot tub. The kitchen was well equipped and had dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid, cloths and a very nice welcome pack. Unfortunately, only one of the double ovens worked and the other seemed not to reach the required temperature, which impacted on the private chef we had, and on our own cooking. We did not report this when we were there. The minor incovenience of no firewood being provided was resolved within 30 minutes with a generous supply. Two bathrooms had a few pieces of black hair on the floor, but the porcelain etc was spotless. We'd be very happy to use a Bolthole Retreats propery again.

Fabulous location for multi-generational celebration

Wonderful, peaceful location with idyllic views. Great facilities for a family group of 12. Easy access to Sudeley Castle and wonderful walks from the door. The beautiful town of Winchcombe is a few minutes drive.

A brilliant stay

The Old Laundry was absolutely perfect for our needs. We stayed for our wedding weekend and it was the perfect backdrop - from hosting a gathering the evening prior (enjoying fantastic views, sitting under the awning and using the top notch BBQ), to hair and makeup on the morning of (plenty of light and airy spaces) to debriefing in the green room afterwards. The only minor thing we missed was a second fridge, we struggled to keep everything cool considering the number of people in the accommodation. The Old Laundry was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and any small issues were handled by the maintenance team immediately. I’d highly recommend!!

Amazing family Christmas break in the Cotswolds

The house was everything and more we were hoping for. It has everything you could need for a large group including 2 dishwashers and plenty of glasses, crockery and cooking equipment. The decor is perfect for the property. Location wise was great and we really enjoyed walking around the castle grounds. Overall 5 star rating. We loved it.

Old Laundry

A lovely well decorated and furnished large house in a wonderful quiet location. And lovely Winchecombe just a short drive away. However for a house of its size and potentially for twelve people, one standard size fridge is not anywhere near enough.There are two dishwashers, but the one in the kitchen is clearly getting old and often didn't clean properly, or dry. Great hot-tub, BBQ and fabulous views, and proximity to the Castle and its gardens for free a real bonus

Cozy Cotswalds

Amazingly tranquil location with great attention to detail making it a dream house although be it a short stay for us. Definitely coming back for a longer stsy next year

A beautiful property in a beautiful corner of the Cotswolds

The property was immaculate, spacious and everything was to a high specification. It was incredibly comfortable and there were lovely additional touches such as the toiletries in bathrooms. The location is beautiful and peaceful and we had such a lovely time.

Not a luxury property anymore

We have been coming to the Old Laundry many times for family gatherings and have always loved it. The location and views are idyllic. This time, however, the cleanliness and service were not as expected. Hair in the hot tub, chipping paint and signs of wear throughout suggest a need to redecorate soon, and service not as before. We were surprised to learn that no cooking oil or salt/pepper were provided, which is very unusual for a luxury property. We also had a poorly baby and asked for a late checkout so she could nap - which was denied - and then the cleaning crew arrived before even the agreed checkout at 10am. I am torn because I love the property and want to keep coming back with our family but felt very let down by this latest experience.

Great house, very new. It would have been great to have had some more outdoor furniture like sun loungers or a big outdoor table. Although there was sitting provided. Really enjoyed the stay.

Lovely accommodation in peaceful setting

Our group of 7 ladies really enjoyed our stay at the Old Laundry with the additional benefit of complimentary entry to Sudeley Castle and its grounds, along with the close proximity to Winchcombe which we walked to a coupe of times. The house was well equipped and very spacious allowing us to relax in comfort and enjoy the hot tub in the garden. We did feel the property would have benefitted from a name plate outside as a number of our party drove by it and had to turn round. A second fridge in the utility area would be useful as the fridge was not really adequate for a large group (capacity is 12 people) as we could not fit all our chilled food in the fridge for our 3 night stay. Also, we could not close the skylight window in one of the bathrooms despite it raining heavily and strong winds so had to dry the floor with towels. Nevertheless, we throughly enjoyed our get together and would happily revisit the house.

Fabulous stay at Old Laundry

This is by far the best place we have stayed as an extended family. It is spacious, well decorated, comfortable beds, lovely towels fabulous views and close to so many places of interest. It is of an extremely high standard and I would definitely stay again! We only had a long weekend, we should have booked a week. We had a two year old with us and were delighted to have the stair gates, high chair and cot. I have no criticism of this place but maybe just one suggestion - if there are 12 people staying then maybe an extra fridge would be useful - we quickly filled ours. You have set a lovely high bar at Sudely and I thank you for an absolutely splendid stay.

A beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. Perfect location for exploring the area.

It was a beautiful house with excellent bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable. All the facilities in the house were very good. There was a well equipped kitchen, very nice dining room and spacious sitting room. The weather was hot so the outdoor place in the garden with beautiful views came very useful. The parking in the front garden was extremely valuable. The house is well located for exploration of this interesting and beautiful part of The Cotswolds. Sudeley castle just round the corner, was very interesting to visit and the entrance was free for people staying in Old Laundry. Winchcombe, an attractive town, was a short walk away, with good places for eating and shops.

The house was gorgeous, great decoration and great facilities. Having a big dining room was brilliant as well as the large lounge. It definitely needs two fridges given the amount of people it can accommodate - and I would trade this off for one dishwasher if something had to go. There was not enough room for food/drinks etc in one fridge Hot tub is a great facility and beautiful garden and views The location was great but I feel we were misled in regard to the distance described in the details on line, from Winchcombe town and all the facilities. Thank you, we had a lovely time

Wonderful break

We had a wonderful weekend break at Old Laundry. The house was really spacious and easily accommodated our group of 11 without ever feeling like we were on top of each other. The house, grounds, bedrooms etc were all excellently appointed. Lovely views from the back garden/ hot tub. Separate dining room was fantastic addition so we hired a local private chef. Bedrooms nicely spread out around the house into 3 "wings" which provided some additional privacy. Lovely touches added such as toiletries in the bathrooms, lots of towels etc. I really can't fault it. I do think the fridge could do with being bigger or a second one added. We managed with it for the weekend but would have struggled if staying longer. Many thanks for a brilliant stay!

A beautiful house

Highly recommend this house for a large group. We were 9 ladies celebrating a friend’s 60th. It was perfect for our needs. Beautifully decorated in all rooms to a good standard. Everything you need is there. Views are amazing front and back. Safe garden we had 2 dogs with us. The location is a little out of the town and ok to walk in the day but not great for evening. Lovely walk through the castle grounds. Our only hiccup was the Tesco delivery guy couldn’t find us (at night, delivered next day) as he said there was no sign for the house and indeed on looking it’s poor so maybe that is the only thing that needs improvement. Beautiful property in a beautiful location, lots to do and see. Would certainly book again.

Large family, this is where you stay!!

We were in the Cotswolds for my daughter’s wedding, we are from Texas. Old Laundry was the perfect place for us. Lots of room and space, a well stocked kitchen will everything you will need and more. The location was great, easy walk to Winchcombe for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We LOVED our stay!!
