Chalet H11 in St Merryn, Cornwall, sleeps four guests in two bedrooms.

Chalet H11, a single-storey abode, consists of an open-plan living space including a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, a dining area and a sitting area with TV. The bedrooms consist of a double and a triple bunk (double below, single above), along with a bathroom. Outside, there is a patio area with furniture, plus off-road parking for two cars. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are all included in the price. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 0.7 miles, beach 2.9 miles. Chalet H11, a holiday home along the Cornish coast. Note: When arriving at the property, if you sign in at reception you will have access to on-site WiFi, coverage can be intermittent on occasions. Note: Laundry facilities available in on-site utility at additional cost.

Region: Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.

Town: St Merryn is a typical Cornish village, located within two miles of the coast and close to the picturesque harbour and fishing port of Padstow. Surrounded by some of Cornwall's best surfing beaches and golf courses, St Merryn is a holidaymaker's dream, offering two pubs, three restaurants, a chinese takeaway, a chip shop, mini markets and a Post Office, yet St Merryn remains within easy reach of the area's visitor attractions. The vibrant town of Newquay is eleven miles down the road, boasting three major beaches, the National Surf Centre and an endless supply of rolling surf, making it a paradise for watersports enthusiasts. Newquay also offers good shopping, a zoo, a Sea Life centre and a variety of nightspots, clubs, pubs and restaurants. Set back from the main holiday crowds, St Merryn is an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding area at your leisure.

Stayed at this property during the summer holidays but wouldn’t again. Not because there was anything wrong with it really apart from the sofas being very uncomfortable and there not being enough chairs to eat round the table. Only 2 when the property sleeps 4/5 people. But the biggest problem is with the property management. After booking I had emails demanding more money from me otherwise my booking would be cancelled. There was no mention of this in the property listing. As every way of communicating with them went completely ignored and being afraid of the holiday being cancelled, I had no choice but to pay more money. But after this experience I would not book this or any other property this company lists.

Lovely position BUT it was not clean at all. Mouldy curtain in the lounge/ kitchen area. No lid to the bin in the kitchen, which attracted the flies, needed to wash the glasses before we used them and they looked like they had been taken from various pubs - nothing matched! Floor was absolutely filthy and can only imagine when this was last mopped, fridge was dirty, wood work covered in dust & grime , peeling paint, I could go on! Come on Vbro, try actually status g in some of these places that you endorse, you wouldn’t stay there. The ONLY saving grace was that both beds were super comfy and had clean bedding. I’m was too afraid to look at the mattress and pillows if complete honest! The site itself…. What a let down. Stayed there a few years on the trot seven years ago before the new owners took over, afraid to say it’s gone really downhill. We stayed during the very hot period and we didn’t even have to sign in. When we arrived I went into the bar area as reception was closed. Quite gruffly told that with all the work going on ( they’d knocked down the original bar area etc) it want necessary to register the car or ourselves?! So, if there had been a fire, they would not have had a clue how many people were on the site. Unbelievable really as the whole area was on alert after two fires breaking out relatively class nearby!Wouldn’t stay again even though it was in a prime position for visiting beaches etc. Rather stay somewhere that was clean and the site valued safety.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay. The conditions I encountered were unacceptable and significantly detracted from what should have been a relaxing holiday. Upon arrival, I was assigned to a room where several essential amenities were either non-functional or in a state of disrepair. Specifically: - The heating system was not working, making the room uncomfortably cold .- There was visible mold in the room, posing a health concern.- The microwave was out of order, preventing me from preparing simple meals.- The kettle handle melted presenting a safety hazard.- I was appalled to find blood stains on the pillows, indicating a severe lack of hygiene. . This lack of attention to guest welfare is deeply concerning.I had to abandoned my holiday and returned home Given these significant issues, I request a full refund for my stay. I have attached photographs as evidence of the conditions described above. I look forward to your prompt response and a resolution to this matter.
