Where do I begin. The front door was rotten, gaps filled with gaffa tape and what had been a window was chipboard. not secure.Opening the door I nearly tripped up on the torn lino. The place smelt musty.Entering the bedroom to unpack clothes, the wardrobe was full of clothes and the chest of drawers full of clutter, so there was no available space for our cloths. The bathroom looked very tired and had mould on the outside walls. Conversely, the shower heat & water flow was excellent for an electric shower. The kitchen, like everywhere else was full of clutter, with all the cupboards full of huge amounts of crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, glasses, etc all for merely two people, and lots of left over food e.g. sauces, powders, jars. Why? Having said all that, the over, hob & microwave were clearly very new and were excellent. On the face of it the lounge appeared OK, but upon looking closer it was like the rest of the cottage - grubby. Dead insects & cobwebs everywhere, endless clutter, and alarmingly some very dodgy electrical sockets hanging off the wall. The TV powered up, but despite following the instructions on how to use the TV freeview (aerial) box, or the satellite box, or the internet connection we could not get any signal to the TV.The garden looked ok, but it was rampant & unkempt, paving full of weeds or overgrown, The garden furniture bore no resemblance to the nice wooden table & parasol in the website photos, instead there was a knackered plastic table.
