The property itself was lovely. Lots of space in and around it and all well presented and clean. The owner was even kind enough to leave a welcome gift of local cake and orange juice. Although in a built up area, on a steep hillside, the views of the sea and mountains was very nice. Also, we weren’t overlooked and it was reasonably quiet. Unfortunately there were a few things which made our stay less enjoyable. There is no air conditioning in this villa (it is advertised as having air-con) and the ceiling fans (apart from one of the upstairs bedrooms) were not really adequate. It seemed that most houses had dogs, which we have no issue with (we have dogs ourselves!), but they were constantly barking, day and night. It was like living in a kennels. We are both over 60 and the hillside location really was too much for us, so be aware - I probably should have investigated more. Also be aware, due to location, there’s little within walking distance. Budget for car rental/lots of taxis. (Taxis were reasonable and friendly, as were the nearest pizza delivery service!)Sun loungers could do with some cushions-we used the pads from the BBQ area, which helped. Some instructions for kitchen equipment etc would have been useful, perhaps a general information pack? (After asking, rubbish goes into the neighbours bin or down the hill to ‘communal’ ones). Although the villa and pool were amazing, we wouldn’t stay again due to location.
