Danes Cottage is a beautifully interior-designed, double-fronted terraced home located in the picturesque town of Chapel-en-le-Frith.



Nestled in the heart of the Peak District, the cottage is surrounded by stunning landscapes, perfect for hiking, cycling, and exploring. Danes Cottage serves as an ideal retreat for families and friends looking to explore the area while enjoying the convenience of nearby village amenities.

Accessibility

* The cottage has low door frames and exposed beams; please take care.

* Bedrooms are accessed via a steep dog‑leg staircase and may not be suitable for guests with mobility challenges.

* Feather pillows and cushions are used throughout. Synthetic pillows are available on request, but the cushions can't be removed, so the cottage may not be suitable for guests with severe feather allergies.



Children

* Children aged 10 years and over are welcome.

* The cottage is not suitable for infants or children under 10: there is no travel cot, high chair or childproofing equipment.

* Guests travelling with children must supervise them at all times.



Parking

* One off‑road parking space on the cobbled drive directly in front of the cottage, suitable for small to medium cars.

* Additional free roadside parking on Rowton Grange Road (approx. 0.2 miles / 4‑minute walk).



Security & Noise Monitoring

* A Ring doorbell camera is installed at the front of the property.

* A noise decibel monitor is present inside to ensure quiet hours are respected.



House Rules

* No pets, smoking, parties or events.

* Shoes must be removed on entry; a bench and boot rack/mat are provided.

* Please use coasters and avoid eating in the lounge or bedrooms.

* Minimum check‑in age: 21.

* The cottage is for private residential use only. Work trips are welcome, but no business operations or external commercial services at the property.

* The cottage is a peaceful rural retreat and is not suitable for group drinking trips, parties or social events.



Pre‑Arrival Requirements

To comply with regulations and protect both guests and the property, please complete the following at least 3 days before arrival (we'll email the links around 7 days before arrival):

1. Review the House Rules.

2. Sign the online Rental Agreement.

3. Complete and return the Guest Registration Form.

4. Complete ID verification and pre‑authorise a £500 security deposit via Truvi, our third‑party provider (Truvi charges a £10 service fee). The deposit is not held or charged; Truvi verifies your card and only deducts costs, up to £500, if damage is caused during your stay.
