Weekend break

We stayed for a short weekend break and had a lovely time at Mark and Trish's lodge. Great facilities, wonderful location with great access to local towns and Lakes. Being greeted every morning and evening by swans and ducks was a highlight 🩷. Onsite leisure centre was an excellent bonus. Would recommend

Peaceful stay

We had a lovely stay at Sandmartin Lodge. Fantastic views from the lodge and decking over the lake in a peaceful location. Easy to reach good walking locations and the Lake District.

Ducks and swans at the door

Great place to stay, really peaceful with an amazing view. Our little boy loved feeding the ducks and swans right outside the back door. We will definitely be back again!

A little haven

A little haven of tranquility. Beautiful water front location. Immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Great to have apool and jacuzzi available too.We will definately be staying again on our way North.

Great all round

Wonderful stay, lovely lodge & lots of thoughtful touches. Great location for getting around! We also thought the one site facilities were good! They also posted us back an item we left which was above & beyond! Would 1000% recommend & go again!

Restful little retreat

We had the most beautiful restful stay with our two young children. The cabin is stunning and pine lake was the perfect little getaway. Lots to do with our two little ones, whilst also feeling like a little retreat.

Easy access to the Lake district

Lovely stay. The lodge was clean and had everything we needed, with some nice little finishing touches. We were able to easily access local attractions due to location, 30-45 mins to the Lakes.

Loved the watersports

We recently stayed at this beautiful lakeside lodge and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The location is stunning, right on the waterfront with fantastic views and a peaceful atmosphere. One of the highlights was the range of water sports available, which made the stay even more enjoyable and gave us plenty to do during the day. There was also a lovely bar area on site, perfect for relaxing with a drink and taking in the scenery after a busy day. The lodge itself was comfortable, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. Being only around a 25-minute drive from Windermere was an added bonus, making it easy to explore the surrounding Lake District attractions while still enjoying a quieter setting. Overall, it was a fantastic stay in a beautiful location, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing lakeside getaway.

Great lake view

Really enjoyable cabin and resort, beautiful view of the lake from the living room that close can literally feed the swans and ducks. Of course was swan and duck feed provided. Will go again.

Beautiful location

The location of the house is at absolute beautiful lake side location. The scenery from the patio is dreamy good. The house is extremely well maintained and checkin and checkout was very easy. Tons of restaurants and grocery options around. Would love to visit again sometime..

Fantastic lodge.

Mark is a great host and the lodge was fantastic. It’s right on the lake and the leisure centre is a 3 min walk away. We really enjoyed staying here as it was very peaceful and not overcrowded. The lodge itself has been refurbished to a high standard. My children really enjoyed feeding the ducks that would walk up to the lodge with the duck food Mark kindly provided . It’s a great resting point to explore Lake District , and there is enough to do including water sports , in case you decide to stay instead of leaving the resort.

Great facilities

Recently stayed in the lodge and can't fault it at all. Very clean and positioned very well on the lake. Our son enjoyed all of the ducks, geese and swans coming up to the lodge so he could feed them. Located well to for access to windermere which was about 30min drive away. The onsite facilities were good indoor swimming pool and arcades. We ate in the onsite restaurant one night and the food was good. Would highly recommend.
