Farrier Beach Cottage

Farrier Beach Cottage is a beautiful Grade II listed cottage dating from the mid 1600s, just 50 metres from the beach and 200 metres from the high street in the heart of the conservation area. The cottage has been sympathetically restored, freshly decorated and furnished with handsome Mid Century pieces and natural materials. This charming cottage has many of it's original features such as three beautiful fireplaces, one of which is a wood burner, exposed beams and wood panelling. The small, but perfectly formed kitchen has everything you might need for cooking up a feast with local treats. The kitchen and dining room have doors out to the sunny and sheltered garden. In the winter months, snuggle up on the sofa in front of the fire, or relax in the armchair with a good novel after a day of exploring the coastline. Upstairs you will find two comfortable bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the other with two singles, and a bathroom. It really is the perfect base for couples or friends seeking a relaxing break by the sea.

We would respectfully ask that the following house rules are adhered to, to avoid any damages. Should any damages arise please note charges may be taken from your security deposit.
Please note check out is 10am. Please ensure you vacate on time to allow our housekeepers to enter the property and prepare it for the next guests.
Smoking is not permitted in the property at any time.
Please note for insurance purposes the number of guests must not exceed the total occupancy of the house.
For fire safety reasons please do not use any candles in the property.
Please be respectful to neighbours. Quiet hours are between 11pm and 9am.
Parties and loud music are not permitted.



Local Information
Situated in the heart of the conservation area, you will not need to use your car as there is so much on your doorstep to explore. Enjoy sunrise with an early morning coffee on the beach or a dip in the sea if you are feeling brave! You can walk along the lovely long promenade that takes you through Walmer and on to Kingsdown where you can enjoy a refreshing drink at The Zetland Arms, one of the few UK pubs situated on a beach. Deal’s iconic Georgian High Street is also a short stroll from the cottage and offers a wealth of artisan, boutique and independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Excited to stay here again

We had a beautiful and very smooth stay at Farrier cottage and were sad to leave - we visit Deal often and will be excited to come back. The size of the cottage and location were great. There were just two of us but it would comfortably fit four with lots of space to relax downstairs. It was beautifully furnished and very generous with the amenities - lots of food cupboard items, toiletries and even yoga mats & camping chairs which we took to the beach.

Great short stay

We had a great short stay at Farrier Beach Cottage over the Bank Holiday. The house is minutes from a quiet beach, and the Saturday market and high street are just at the other end of the road. The house was well equiped and comforable.

A relaxing stay in a comfortable home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach and close to lots of independent shops and restaurant and bars. The courtyard is a very relaxing place to relax after a walk by the sea. Thank you Keepers cottages for making our stay very enjoyable .

Lovely cozy cottage

We spent Christmas 2025 here and we couldn't recommend it enough. It is perfect two to four people or two couples. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. The cozy dinning room was perfect and the log burner was an added bonus that we used given the cold Christmas. Very close to the beach, pier and cafe which we love and all the independant boutiques and shop on the high St.

Charming Escape – Cozy, Beautiful Cottage in Deal

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage in Deal! It is tastefully decorated with great attention to detail and has everything you could possibly need. There were even some basic groceries waiting for us when we arrived, which was incredibly practical and thoughtful. The beds were super comfortable, and everything was perfectly set up for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. We couldn’t have asked for more – simply perfect!

Comfortable, Well-Located Cottage with Thoughtful Touches

We really enjoyed our stay at Farrier Beach Cottage. The hosts were friendly, accommodating, and responsive, and the space was clean, comfortable, and well furnished. It’s quiet but very central — just steps from the beach, around the corner from the high street, and a short walk to the train station. The cottage had everything we needed (especially the kitchen!), and there were great spots to relax, both inside and out. It also worked well for remote work, with good desk/table setups and reliable internet. Would love to stay again!!

Sweet cottage and a fab location

Lovely short term break. The television is a bit difficult to deal with as are the stairs. I take everything including the kitchen sink…which proved very hard to get up those curly stairs…

Comfy bolthole in a great location

Very familiar with Deal as our grandparents lived near the town many years ago & we still visit regularly. It was therefore lovely to find this cosy house a literal stone’s throw from the beach and a very easy walk into Deal for the shops and restaurants. The house is tastefully decorated and very well equipped. It has a secluded courtyard garden which would be a real sun trap later in the year. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to book again later in the year.

Perfect cottage

I stayed recently for 3 nights with my grown up daughters to celebrate my birthday. The cottage exceeded my expectations as better than the photographs ( which were very enticing) and perfect for our needs with more space than we expected. Tastefully decorated was very clean with good quality linen and towels and importantly warm on arrival as it was very cold outside. The wood burner added to the cosy feel. Situated in the conservation area close to the sea and restaurant bars and quirky shops.

Relaxing stay at Farrier's Beach cottage

The cottage is perfectly located near the high street and the beach. It’s close enough to pop down with a sundowner and beach chairs to the beach early evening or visit one of the great shops on the high street in five minutes. It is very comfortable and well equipped although upstairs is quite small. The stairs would be a challenge for less mobile guests. We didn’t realise there wasn’t a dishwasher but that wasn’t a problem as we were just the two of us. It is also wonderfully quiet considering how close it is to all the amenities. We loved our stay there.
