I’m Thorstein, your host. I combine U.S. work experience, executive leadership, legal insight, and genuine Scandinavian hospitality to create a stay that feels effortless and welcoming. I’ve spent many years hosting American families on long-term arrangements — first a 4-year stay and later a 3-year lease — and from 2014 to 2017 I regularly welcomed U.S. guests who were either visiting Copenhagen or relocating for work. Many appreciated having a supportive local host who could help with the practicalities of moving to Denmark, navigating the area, and settling in comfortably.
The property you’re viewing today is the same home, now beautifully updated after a full exterior renovation started in 2017. It’s designed with American comfort, space, and convenience in mind — ideal for long-term stays, executive travel, family visits, and U.S. expats looking for a smooth landing in Copenhagen.
